I wrote a do as i say petition -- one on a picture, one on a piece of a brown paper bag. I wrote my targets name in a small purple candle nine times. I dressed the candle in do as i say oil. Placed the two petitions and candle in a old candle glass that was empty, and burned it.

Candle took nine maybe ten hours to burn out. The candle wax melted completely flat on top of the petitions. Glass was clear flame was strong.

Is this a good sign?

I am about to burn another purple candle on top of this one, write the targets name from bottom to top and dress it in john the conqueror oil. I'll let you guys know how that worked. :D

Hello, MaeHelen89,

If you read this thread, you would know that we do not perform candle divinations and interpretations on the forum

BUT, even if we did, this description is extremely vague and I could not even begin to guess

Sorry

I want tk reconcile with my ex; we've been broken up a month and a half ago. Currently, we are not on speaking terms. I'm going the honey jar spell, the freezer spell, and
had the church burn a mercury candle which I used the same petition as I used with the Come to Me candle whiched burned clearly.

I ordered a Come to Me candle and this was my petition:
X, shall communicate with Y as soon as possible.

The candle burned leaving a light, white haze, with a scattering of glitter, on the sides of the glass; signs of minor delays, distractions, and confusion. You can clear away these minor concerns with prayer and meditation. Make the effort to pray and meditate, and draw Mr. Y's attention and affection. Blessings!

What should be my next step?

My candle wick formed the shape of a cross, this is the second time this happened during healing work. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I take this as a good sign or only the wax and glass are read?

What happens if you start a John the Conquerer novena candle for the intention of finding a new home and gathering energy/strength for the upcoming migration of my household, and then someone throws said candle and shatters it?

Hello, mcleods,

That is definitely an obstacle!

I'd start a new candle. This time, don't let anyone see your candle. Spell work ought to be done in secrecy

Hey all,

I am currently doing reconciliation work but the candle left a half an inch of unburned wax at the bottom- signifying "unfinished business" or a person coming back only halfway, if I'm not mistaken. Would this be an instance in which to burn another reconciliation candle paired with a road opener candle? Or would this be a sign more coercive methods were necessary? I have already confirmed with a reader that it is possible for the target to return.

Hello cookie2,

I would say to do a Road Opener candle and see how that burns, and if that burns well, burn another Reconciliation candle. If that Reconciliation candle burns like the first one, you might want to get a reading and find out what's up. You can find reputable readers here:

I am currently doing a love/sex drawing candle spell and I bumped the dish the candle/other components are resting on, and the candle dripped forming tears, and I'm trying to figure out if I can tell the meaning of that. Is it possible that I am going to cause someone to be sad/cry in the course of events that the spell sets in motion? Perhaps the person I'm trying to draw? Or perhaps that I myself will cry? I'd hate to think that I'd do something like that (hurt someone else/make them cry), but I also don't want to dismiss the fact that it was my action that caused a previously dripless candle to form several distinct tears.

Hello!! I had a saint Martha vigil burn in the Church and just got a report saying my candle left a dark, grey haze around the top quarter of the glass, a sign of somewhat serious delays and distractions.. The work is to fix a relationship. It was said that I may want to do more work.. what would you recommend I do in this situation? Thank you so much!

Hello Lullina24,

You could burn a Road Opener vigil candle to help clear away those delays and distractions, then burn another St. Martha candle. If that St. Martha candle doesn't give you a favorable burn, I'd say it would be a good idea to get a reading to find out what's going on. You can find reputable readers here:

Hello, for a glass encased candle I initially trimmed the quick but as the candle burned down, the quick was long and the candle started smoking or producing a lot of grey /black smoke which turned that glass grey. Could this be a result of the wick being to long? Would this interfere with the spell or will I just won't be able to read the glass?

Hello, Curious1,

Sounds like the wick

But I can't be 100% sure.

I'd light another one and if it does the same thing then you have resistance.

Hello IndigoMoon,

Welcome to the Lucky Mojo forum. If you did a love spell, I'd say that's a pretty auspicious sign to see in the wax. You can read more about divining signs leftover from burned candles here:

My love candle burned pitch black all the way.

Does this mean that it's not going to work on that person

Does that mean my love life as a whole is in trouble?

And what should I do?

I finished my first skull candle last night. There was about half of it left, but I ran it for 7 days and buried the remaining wax on the side of my house today. A couple of interesting things with it. On the first night I talked to it telling my ex she wanted to return and start a family with me, and some of the wax pooled at the base looking like a fetus. During the first few days it was a slow burn too, up until last night when it took off and the flame was insanely high and dancing.

What I can gather from all of that is the first message hit her about children, and last night I was really hitting her. I don't think she was asleep last night when I did it, but I think I did it when she was tired enough and falling asleep that her guard was down and she was vulnerable.

Hello Scarred,

I would say to trust your instincts, which sound like they are on the money. You could back up your findings with divination if you wanted a clear answer. To read more about interpreting signs left by candles, check out this page:

Hello,

So i have been meaning to ask about this on the forum so here it is, is it normal for the signs and remains of spell work be inaccurate? I guess what i am trying to say is for example: I do spells to break up a couple, burying jars at the cemetery, black candles burn strong and clean, my gut tells me its working, i see signs of them fighting or random signs from spirit telling me its working- but end result they are still together and haven't broken up.

It's happened to me with 2 of my targets, and its been a few months - my readings, divination, intuition all tell me they will suffer but i just dont see it in the mundane world... I keep thinking maybe it's all piling up and it will hit them when they least except it but i just want to know for myself if it's possible that spirits or signs are wrong and misleading.

I feel very comfortable with my crafting spells, and my intuition usually is spot on so i guess i am just confused what seems to be the hold up. I look forward to getting in person reading at the hoodoo festival to get more insight but it's something that i been meaning to ask about so feel free to share your thoughts.

Hello, loabeliever,

It is my personal opinion that signs do not mean that the spell will manifest to your bidding.

Signs, to me, mean that Spirit has acknowledged your spell. And they are doing what they can to help it manifest (but no promises).

Also, in many cases, it could mean that the spell is in motion but not strong enough

OR that it will take time.

As I have explained in my new book (Cursing and Crossing) sometimes spells take on a cumulative effect and we just need to keep on pushing and adding more spells.

So, I hope this answers your question.

Wishing you the best

take care

I can't wait to get your book at the festival! I am so excited to read all your wonderful ideas! i would really love to
empower myself with new ideas, and learning ways to remove obstacles.

Thank you for your insight! :)

Couldn't find a topic about working with candles but I may be blind! Sorry

The wick off my skull candle fell into the puddle of wax that was made inside the skull but didn't burn out... I used the same tool I used to carve the skull to move the wick just slightly to the center... it kept burning until it reached the herbs and the tiny piece of napkin with his saliva on it and burnt it all clear off the top of the honey jar. Leaving wax only stuck to the sides of the honey jar but none on top

Was my movement of the wick the right idea? I've never done that before but it felt right and I read about working with the candles just last evening too so it was a sign for me to act

Hello lalyil,

I think it was fine that you helped the wick; stepping in and taking action when a candle isn't burning well can mean the difference between a successful spell and an unsuccessful spell.

My apologies if this has been covered, but I've read through, and even checked out the link on the glass breaking, after a free standing figure candle burns down. Let me explain:

A friend was burning a male penis candle, black, to stop up one's nature permanently. I suppose. Well, the candle was dressed with personal concerns of the man, a drop or two of jinxing oil, and some sachet powder. It was then prayed upon and lit.

The candle burned in about 30 to 40 minutes, and the flame danced, blazed, and a little flame burned next to, the big flame the whole time. When the candle burned down to a puddle of wax, the flame kept going in the puddle of candle wax, and then the plate cracked into 3, and a piece of the candle holder jumped from the table. It was a powerful break, one that could be heard.

Not sure what to say about that. it was just last night, and the remains will be buried tomorrow. Until then it's being kept in a dark cloth, in a dark place.

Was the work a success? It burned quickly, and once the glass broke, the flame left had to be put out for safety reasons. It was on cloth as well.

Not sure how to post pictures yet.

Also the flame seemed to lean towards the left of the candle, as if to point in a particular direction. It crackled, popped, danced a little, and in the flame, there seemed to be another smaller flame lit and going, but smaller.

Thank you! Wish I could show you all the pictures.

I burned a candle for my ex to return. I put it on top of my petition and when the candle was done burning, the petition too burned. Is this a bad sign? There are no wax remains.
Also, do I need to fold the petition? I wanted to fold it, but I didn't want the candle to topple over

Hi,

Can someone please help me? I have never worked with offertory candles before, only vigil candles, but due to me having a roommate now, I don't want to keep vigil candles at home, since they will always be lit.

I am doing a moving candle spell, and there is just so much wax.... I've had to move the candles up and down the surface I have them on to move them closer. So, I just want to know, how am I supposed to move the candles closer together with so much wax in the way? At first, the puddles were pointing to each other, which I took as a good sign. Should I use a smaller space? And what is best to have them on? A plate?

And just about burning offertory candles in general - I know about the candle holders, or even burning them on a plate, but how do I clean up all the wax left on the holder? I especially don't want my roommate to see me boiling the candle holder in water to clean it, if that's the way to clean it.

Does anyone have any ideas about how they burn offertory candles? I can't seem to find anything on the LM pages.

Thank you,

Kabirdas

Hello, Kabirdas,

First, I just want to say that I don't completely understand all of your questions. But I will try:

I move the candles when the wax is hot. So, when the wax is hot, move them further together and away from the hot wax (before the wax gets cold and sets).

Any smooth surface like a plate, pizza pie pan, cookie sheet, etc, is good.

You just snap the cold wax off the holder. You could also put the holder in the refrigerator to make the wax get colder and easily come off with your fingers.

Take care

Hello all,

I'm finding plenty of information online about reading the wax of pillar style candles, but very little on how to read 7 day/glass/prayer type candles which I use frequently.

More specifically wondering what black soot on parts of the glass means to you? This particular working was a 7 day sweetening for my long term relationship.

Does anyone know a good source for information on this type of candle reading? Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Miss Aida.

I should have been a little more clear. The wax is sometimes in the path of the two candles, do you mean the candles on top of the hot wax?

And I've been stating my petition, then moving them at the beginning, but I'll try moving them when the wax is hot.

Thank you,

Kabirdas

Asking because I have literally never seen this before and searched the forum with a couple terms and nothing popped up: anybody ever have a runner of wax climb up along the side of the candle so high that it rears up higher than the lip of the candle as it's burning? Flame is still high and mostly steady; it's on the black half of a double action red and black candle. It almost has this attitude of observation, as it's curled towards the flame, but I don't get either a good or bad feeling about it. Unsure if I should snap it off or leave it be.

ETA: Jumbo freestanding candle purchased from LM.

Did it go up the candle, or did it just remain there from running down the sides, and now there's a long drip of wax to the bottom that it's a part of?

That's what happened with my candle I mentioned above, but I didn't mention that. Mine curled away from the flame. I'm not at all sure what it means, hopefully someone can enlighten us. I've never had that happen before, usually the drippings burn with the rest of candle, never had it just hold it's position like that. But it least it curled away.

Long drip down the side that appears to have built up since that one spot was the only place wax was running down--the flame is sort of cradled in a hollow with in the candle, as opposed to being the highest point of the whole thing. Most of the wax is burning off, though. This particular spur that's reared up almost looks like a semi-abstract serpentine form, though if I had to attribute an actual attitude to it, I'd say it looks more inquisitive or watchful than malevolent.

That's pretty close to how my candles burned! How did it end up?

Hello

I have been doing some work to reconcile with an ex. we had been having an affair for seven years. his wife found out and she left him for the man she had been having an affair with. he has said he cannot be with me because i remind him too much of the past and what happened to his family even thought I know he cares for me deeply. The break up happened almost five years ago.

I had readings done and he is always in my readings as a possible partner in my life but he always fights it. I did more readings to be sure that this was a reasonable intention...getting him back and all came back as a yes!

I had a woman do the work for me and it started at the end of Januray 2017. Right away I had signs...contact via email from the ex, meeting to get some belongings back....weeks and months went by and more contact was made. Although very slowly. Some more emails, some texts, some outings, some physical (twice). After the last time I was with him physically he was a completely different human being...completely mesmerized by me and focussed on me. After that a complete withdrawal. Almost as if he was afraid that his feelings were so strong.

However I have not had him reciprocate communication for five weeks now, since that night.

My rootworker gave me more candles to do to keep the work moving. As of yet no movement. Every Friday now for five weeks. Last night I did my candle spell. All burned well. Even burning of the candles. No smoke. Clean. The wax did drip on the glass plate (which I have used for all 5 of these spells) for five straight weeks.

The last candle just continued to burn with the wax that was on the plate for quite some time and did not go out. After a few more hours the glass exploded and broke into four pieces.

Is this a good or bad sign or did the glass just get too hot? It was a dollar store plate and I am not sure.

I do believe in signs and I hope the breakage means that the spells have finally broken through and that he is finally ready for a relationship with me.

Any thoughts out there....?

Hello, Norman81 ,

A cheap glass plate? What can I say?

I would go with something sturdier and, make sure that you have sane underneath to prevent fires.

Take care

Thank you Miss Aida. I will buy a better plate. One more question. What do you think a five - six week pause in movement means? The work was done....what next? Any other ideas or suggestions out there?

Hello Norman81,

Since you're working with a rootworker on this situation, I'd suggest checking in with her about the spell's progress and what else you could try. That way you are both on the same page.

Good luck to you.

Thank you Sister Jean. I am just impatient I guess. My rootworker is away and I will not be able to check in with her for a few weeks.

A clean burn, no wax or residue
OR
Wax left over, shaped like a heart

Not sure how to take this candle meaning yet.

Thank you in advance

Hi all -

I have a question about my candle - I am burning a white candle for general blessings and green for prosperity: I noticed today that my candle flames have been tall with no smoke or soot and have a beautiful golden glow around the flame. I know what I want to believe about the candles appearance but would like for more experienced workers to interpret this golden glow. Thanks in advance

Thank you Miss Cat - I thought so too - I did a quick internet search for more clarity but way too much info and it left me overwhelmed with more questions...trying to stay in positive mind frame to protect my work. Thank you for the book advice - I will definitely purchase I was also looking for a book about creating baths and floor washes do you have one you can recommend...might as well purchase all the books from one source - BTW I use your candle burning service at your church and purchase your oils quite often. I wish you were on the east coast. Thanks again

I burned my first penis pillar candle on a honey jar for love work. Combo of love, lust and marriage oils, herbs and powders plus sexual fluids on the candle. I also included fast luck oil because my lover and I separated right now and money is an issue for him to be able to move to my country.

The candle residue at the top of the candle burned into the most remarkable shape of a dragon!! I am Asian and I know dragons to be auspicious and very lucky. My target happens to have a dragon tattooed on his body as well. Would this be considered a good sign my work will be fast and successful? Thank you.
