Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
Can High John the Conqueror stand getting wet? Or will he leave the root / die once it's been soaked in water?
I'm only asking because my fiancee had one as a carryroot that was unfortunately put in the wash; we realized and fished John out after a few minutes but now I'm worried he won't be salvageable (there was a luck mojo in there, too, which is definitely dead so I'll have to make him a new one).
I'd just like to know if I can still use the High John once he's dry, and if there is a particular drying process to avoid any mold, or if I will have to invest in new roots.
I held him for a few minutes and there still seems to be a lot of energy in him (really heavy, lively, prickling feeling in the palm of the hand I held him in) but if John's not supposed to get wet I gotta know so he can be buried/properly and respectfully disposed of. Thanks for your time!

High John the Conqueror is a pretty tough root. It also has a distinctive smell. If, when you dry it, you can still smell it, it is probably fine. A warm heat would help the drying process. After that i would oil the root with John the Conqueror Oil, which is pretty traditional for it.
The mojo hand, however, as you noted, is dead.

Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
Perfect! Thank you so much for getting back to me.
I set High John next to our old computer for a while after fishing him out of the washer (it works like something of a powerful space heater so he was completely dry in about an hour), then fed him some Jack Daniels (he seems to really like it) and HJTC oil. All in all it looks like I was right on track - I was just worried I might have missed something vital! His smell is just as strong as when I bought him and has been as such throughout this little fiasco.
It's good to know that he's a durable one, although I'm still going to be careful with him, as I certainly don't mean the roots any disrespect by way of ham-handedness! I think we (the fiancee and myself) learned well enough this time around.
And yeah, I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to bury the mojo hand, although therein lies another question for a different forum.
Thanks again! c:

Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
I bought several HJTC roots last months mainly in preparation for an upcoming criminal trial to which I am a victim of terrible crime. I made the court case mojo bag according to Miss Cat’s Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic under Little John. How can I use HJTC for victory in court? Should I consecrate/enchant one root for success and personal power? Or should I specifically consecrate/enchant one root to win in court? I have a lots of anxiety from seeing my abuser again in trial. Thank you for all your help in advanced.

Hello Lucky Angel,
Welcome to the Lucky Mojo forum! We are glad you have found us.
I'm so sorry to hear about your situation but am happy to know you are equipping yourself for the trial. You can use the root in either way you describe but since you want to win at this trial, I would make sure to direct one towards that goal. The other one for personal power and success can be used at the trial and beyond, to keep you strong and successful in any endeavor.
I hope this helps. I wish you the very best of luck at trial and I hope your abuser is sent away for what happened to you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hello Iamabeliever,
Depending on the ultimate goal of your work, you can either pray from your heart or choose a Psalm that corresponds with your objective. Here is a list of psalms and their corresponding goals as a prayer:

John the Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
Hi All,
I have recently started reading a new Hoodoo book, and the author discusses collecting High John the Conqueror Root. I am somewhat familiar with this root, but the author specifically discusses collecting a "male (pointy)" version of this root. I am assuming this is referring only to the shape of the root being more round vs. pointed, but I have known High John to be primarily male so I want to be sure I am seeking out a root to match what is needed. Does anyone have experience with the differentiation between male and female for this root or the "pointy" version of this root? The book I am reviewing thus far has not provided additional information relating to the gender differentiation between roots.
'
Any tips would be appreciated.

Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
Hi --
The roundness or pointiness of a John the Conqueror Root is somewhat dependent on its size and maturity.
Smaller and less mature roots tend to be rounder and to have smoother skins, while larger and more mature roots tend to be pointier and have more fissured skins. This is not always true, but it is true often enough that those who handle the roots are aware of it. Very small pointy roots do exist, and these are a size that we reserve for use in mojo hands.

Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
I want to share a success story with you all. On 11/20/19, I needed to do some spiritual work in efforts to gain favor with a client's client. I was working on a massive project with another company that brought me in. The client that we were working for was extremely high maintenance and a bit challenging.
There were several of us working on the project with clearly defined roles, but the line was getting blurred for multiple reasons. No matter how prepared and how hard I worked, I was taking the fall with the company that brought me in due to their negligence. I'm a team player and not one to throw another under the bus, so when the "client" was unhappy, they were dissatisfied with the team because they didn't understand our roles. There were only three of us on the team.
The client scheduled a conference call to discuss their concerns with the project. I take pride in my work, and I knew where the issues were coming from. I'm a team player and I'm not going to throw anyone under the bus, even if that meant I had to take the fall.
So I pulled out my resources (my spiritual books) and found the perfect solution. In the art of Hoodoo candle magic- page 35, "Commanding Respect at a Meeting with Superiors."
I had everything that I needed except for the gravel root and didn't have time to order any or try to find it so, I put my faith work into action, and I had to trust that the magic would still work.
I did everything else to the letter, including or should I say, especially Psalms 5, and it worked! Not only were we able to keep the project, now the client was directing all questions to me and continually expressed their gratitude to me via email with the team on copy.
I mentioned that I needed the money. I received three increases, which made the project more than worth it, and now the company that brought me in is turning to me and wanting me to work on more projects with them.

Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
I am confused as well on the male and female root. Before I found this website I purchased a root that is about 2 inches long and rectangular shaped, pointed on both ends. Can this in fact be a male or have I been scammed. I was also told if I was looking to improve my own nature that I needed to use a male root and not a female, any truth?

John the Conqueror is always essentially "male" root. That's why it is called "John." The small, immature roots are often round. They are not exactly female, maybe more "boyish" than male.
There are also unusually-shaped John the Conqueror roots that look like female genitals. They are highly prized by transgendered folks.

Re: High John The Conqueror Root Questions and Answers
After some searching I was able to purchase about 15 impomea jalapa seeds most of which have sprouted and are starting to climb. This may be a weird question but they're growing so strongly ( thick, hairy stems, big glossy leaves etc) it got me wondering if there are uses for other parts of the plant?
