Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I am kind of excited....I successfully put in my first order last night. (I tried a couple of years ago, but I messed up on my address, the card was rejected w/no second chance; it's taken me all this time to get a new number & start over).
I REALLY jumped on it when I heard the Professor say there would only be about 3 more festivals??!! Oh no! Time to stop procrastinating, I do NOT have all the time in the world! I began thinking I could really get started on the correspondence course, & maybe even come for the apprentice program. But I didn't read the fine print over the years, that purchases have to be spread out over 4 months.
So! I printed out the list of purchase requirements, and will start checking them off. I already have all the previous books & the cd, so was very excited to order the latest four! Who knows, if I can get my classes completed, maybe I can go to the next festival & get them in person.
I've been listening to the Lucky Mojo program for several years, back when Dr. K was co-hosting--I even went back & listened to all that could be downloaded from the beginning. (That was back in the Dr. K days--there were a few that I got errors on, so I'm thinking they were moved between servers, & the link was no longer active).
Blessings,
Sherry

Hi Miss Aida,
I MUST be enthusiastic, as last night I dreamed about being in Forestville for training....and Miss cat asking me WHY I was buying three sets of everything (that I needed for the course). I'm not sure why my dream-self would have been doing that, either! LOL.

Hello, Sherry Lynn,
The number: "3" has profound mystical meanings.
So, you are obviously getting messages from Spirits. Good ones, too!
Take care

That's wonderful!!!
You will LOVE talking with Miss cat. She is so nice and understanding. She knows that we are nervous and knows how to calm us down. By the time she gets done talking to you, it will feel as if you have known her your whole life.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Hello All,
I'm interested in taking Miss Cat's Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course because ConjureMan Ali, Papa Newt and Khi Armand inspires me to want to become a root or spiritual worker. I've read about them on the AIRR site and their websites and what they do is really impressive and it inspires me 100%.
Please forgive me Lucky Mojo for asking such a question but what do I do to qualify to take the course and is it possible to take it online?

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Hello LuckyMojoFanatic.
The course in itself is a correspodence course. The lessons will be sent to you through mail, in the shape of a hard-cover book.
You'll find anything you need to know about in this page: http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocourse.html, from required purchases from the Lucky Mojo shop, required readings, tuition costs, course curriculum, homework assignments et cetera. It also includes the criteria that one must meet to apply.
If there are any further questions, you may report back to this thread.
Good Luck

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Thanks asturias, You give such helpful info! Lucky Mojo is the best with recommending great products for people's situations and whenever they recommend something it sounds so interesting and exciting. When I see on topic threads for love or friendship and things like that and when Miss Cat or ConjureMan Ali etc recommends something for example to get lucky in love they will say such exciting sounding things like ''Try Follow Me Girl and Kiss Me Now. And if you want to "Get Lucky" also try Fast Luck''. Being on here makes me have faith and hope in a lot of things that seem difficult to achieve in life, Don't you agree asturias?

Hi LuckyMojoFanatic,
You got good advice, and I would also suggest that you get Miss Cat's "green bible", Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic. It will tell you everything you need to know about herbs and roots and their traditional use in hoodoo. Every practitioner has a well dog-eared copy of this essential guide.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I am getting very close to having all my required items to be eligible for the course. Order #3 was placed 7-31-16; so now I need to plan out the 4th order. (I've also ordered lots more than required, especially the oils, they're so handy to have on hand).
Do you think it would be a good idea to email or call the shop, and see if they had time to check my orders & see if my choices were correct, and what I actually have left to complete the list of items? I want to think I saw this mentioned in the past, but can't find the conversation now. And if so, who would I need to ask for?
I found that you will learn a LOT just trying to choose your items! So many decisions, so much scrolling back & forth LOL. Some really difficult decisions, because they're all so interesting. It's like going down the rabbit hole: I never know where I'll end up, & the next thing I know it's after midnight. Again.

Hello, Sherry Lynn,
Since you're calling the shop anyway to ask for the flyer (per your other post), why not ask them abut this too?
You'll kill 2 birds with one stone!
Wising you the best with the course. You will LOVE it!!

I'm really excited about taking this course
I ordered all the materials, but the course book Hoodoo Root and Herb Magic did not arrive. I received a note to reorder it in 6 to 8 weeks. Will I still be able to receive the assignments and begin the homework?
Thanks so much!

Thank you, Miss Aida!
When I interviewed with Ms Cat for the course, she told me that once I had three posts approved by moderators, and after being accepted as a student, I would be allowed into the private yahoo group for students. Will I receive a link to get there? I'm sorry for all the questions, I'm just really excited to get started on the homework.
I appreciate your time. <3

Hi All,
Last week I made my last purchase in order to enroll in the course & my package arrived today! I have been purchasing from Lucky Mojo since 2014 and this is the fastest I have ever received a package. I have scheduled my interview with Miss Cat in the near future and I am hoping that I will be accepted.
I have been lurking and reading various threads in the forum for quite some time but I have never posted. I have had a few readings from Miss Cat and the information that she has shared is priceless. I am hoping that I have the opportunity to learn more from her.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello, Fire and Ice ,
I am so happy for you! And excited too!
You will learn a lot from Miss cat. Don't even worry about that!
I wish she would have an advanced course. That would be fantastic and I would be the first one to sign up (hint, hint....Miss cat)!
Wishing you the very best
Congrats!

reeceeb,
The Yahoo group is no longer functional. The Student group is now here at the forum. If you cannot see the Student Group, please contact nagasiva yronwode via Facebook and ask him to change your permissions.
(This is why i ask folks to be Forum members and Facebook friends before they become students -- so we can work these things out seamlessly.)
I will show this post to siva when i see him later this evening. No worries.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Good Day,
As of lately I have really been drawn to this course and most likely guided by spirit.
I see a lot of posts, that may speak about my questions, go back to 2009. And, when I read the requirements for the course, I saw that Cat mentioned changes due to some students not turning in homework and such. I have seen Miss Kerry is from the UK and is a course graduate. I live in the UK but I'm originally from/born into Amercanized culture and have kin in the US
Am I able to enroll in the course?
Will the interview be via Skype or email in this case?
I'd have to make several purchases prior to enrolling but my concern [as I read from the forum, 2009-12, posts] is about being hindered by customs and shipping charges.

NewbiSpiritualWorker --
As noted, i have had students from many nations.
We can speak via skype. I do not conduct interviews via email.
I am sorry, but matters of postage and customs are beyond my ability to alter.
If you are interested in my course, then the next time you order any of the required materials, just add a note in the message area saying that you wish to be marked as a "prospective student." There is no obligation to become a student, but if you mention that, then any items you order from my shop will be check-marked as meeting the course requirements for materials.

Thank you... this was hard to follow. Something told me to go search for my response as I did not receive any type of notification of a response. I even looked throughout my control panel. Was the rest of my post cut, copied and pasted elsewhere as I no longer see it a part of this post [I have no idea where it is as I haven't received any type of notifications if it has been responded to]...?

Hello, NewbiSpiritualWorker ,
If you are speaking about that very long post, and then followed it by "nevermind, I found grounding" (or something like that), I have deleted it.
The part regarding the course was retained.
You can ask Miss cat more questions during the interview!
Have fun with her course. You will love it!

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Hello, snouvavou.
The course i teach cannot simply be ordered. You have to purchase the required herbs, roots, oils, powders, incense, bottle, flannel bag, and reading material first. Then you can call the MISC and ask to schedule an interview with me. They will check to see that you have all the needed items. After the interview, if i approve you, then you can order the course book. I take on only two students per week at most.
Read all about the way to become a student of mine here:

Thanks.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Oh wow,I can see how my post made it seem I hadn't read the course page! Sorry about that,I was just "riding an intuitive wave" about committing to this. You know how a Pisces can be.
To clarify on my end: I have about 90% of the required products/books from my various LMCC orders but I will re-read the list to see what is outstanding.Somehow I thought the interview came first, then the ability to order the book...and then one ordered the necessary course supplies. I can see why you might want folks to order supplies first, if nothing else to show commitment to the process. That was my actual misunderstanding. I was about to call the shop this week to set up an interview!
Thank you for clarifying that and I will stay off the forum when I'm "not so left brain".

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
snouvavou,
You're fine. And you're also right -- i want folks to order supplies first to become familiar with the work, because the course is not just about one sort of spell or one sort of condition.
In the past, before i made the products a requirement, i had a lot more sign-ups, but less than 10% of my students turned in homework and graduated.
Now i limit enrollment to only two sign-ups per week and only from folks who have purchased products, and more than 25% of my students turn in homework and graduate.

In the past, before i made the products a requirement, i had a lot more sign-ups, but less than 10% of my students turned in homework and graduated.
Now i limit enrollment to only two sign-ups per week and only from folks who have purchased products, and more than 25% of my students turn in homework and graduate.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Hello all, today I received a call from a client interested in taking the course. When I reviewed his products list I informed him that a few things were missing. One happened to be a two part water. Now on the pre-requisites section it says Peace Water or Double Luck. He asked if he could use War Water. I told him I did not know and I would find out.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Thanks for asking, Madam Sol. The answer is no. War Water is all (100%) water-based. The other two -- Peace Water and Double Luck -- are two-part formulas in that they are half oil-based and half water-based and oil floats on water. Making and using these two-part liquids is an old tradition, one we do not want to lose, so the student needs to have first hand personal knowledge of them.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I feel incredibly stupid and apologize in advance for not knowing where to post this, but for the past few months I've wanted to sign up for the course but haven't been able to figure out how to do a checkout. I've sent an agreement to the terms several orders ago...may have gotten overlooked. If someone wouldn't mind pm-ing me or e-mailing me what it is EXACTLY I need to do in order to get in touch with Miss Cat and have you guys see that I've made all the required purchases, I'd really like to get started. Thank you and I'm so sorry again for being lost.

Hello, Shutter ,
Don't feel stupid! That's a credible question!
You would call the shop. They will connect you to the person in charge of reviewing your purchases and arranging an interview with Miss cat.
That's the process
Wishing you the best with the course. You will LOVE it!
Take care

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I'm beside myself with excitement!
I just pulled the trigger on Ms Cat's Correspondence Course! Even though I had completed the required prerequisites and purchases awhile ago, the timing just wasn't right. I'm about to rent a booth to my first Metaphysical Fair (in November so I have time to plan and stock) and will be offering quite a few LM products at the fair. The correspondence course is going hand in hand with my extended focus on something I enjoy doing and working with.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I got the course a month or so ago but I haven't been able to find the areas Miss Cat said were for students. I remember she said there was an area where videos were posted but I haven't seen it. Am I missing something? Also, is the Yahoo group still active? I noticed it hasn't had any posts in a while and I asked for membership a while back but never got a response. Thanks!

Hello, MistyG --
The Yahoo group was abandoned long ago and ALL OF THE POSTS were moved here to this site's Students Forum.
To see the Students Forum, you have to contact nagasiva yronwode with your student number. He will then give you permission to view and participate in that area, which is invisible to the public.
Contact him at Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/nagasiva.yronwode -- or via PM here.

Good morning everyone
I have been trying to find the correct email address for the questions that I have about enrollment. I am a Southern California native and I travel to and from NY but I am planning to make NY my permanent residence. Will this disqualify me?

Hi BTYGEENATION13,
If I understand your question, you would not be disqualified because of location as the course is conducted remotely. It is a correspondence course, not an in-person one. So you would be fine to enroll.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Yay! My purchases have hit a fairly decent chunk of the necessary materials! I'll definitely be more selective when placing future orders.
I'm glad I read and familiarized myself with the course requirements. This week drove me to the point of wanting to deactivate Facebook. If it wasn't for the pages I admin and feeling an obligation to those groups and friends, it would have been zapped. Now there is yet another reason to hold onto it. I'll use Fiery Wall of Protection before visiting the feed from now on. It really takes it out of me to see peoples' cruelty on social media and has prevented me from engaging to the fullest extent for far too long.
Meanwhile, I can see the supply list is the "bare minimum" of what should be on hand to fully come to know and understand Hoodoo practice. I can't seem to place an order without realizing I'd like ten more items on hand! If anyone is ordering what they need or feel drawn to acquire (rather than what's required for the course) the list shoukdnt be a cause for stumbling at all!
I'm excited to start moving in the direction of the course. It may take more time. I have a long way to go and much I'd like to learn BEFORE I decide to enroll, but the discovery of the Apprencticeship Program for graduates has convinced me not to drag my feet for too long!

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I too am excited to possibly take the course..believe I have all the required purchases few weeks back and left my number with MISC church a few weeks back for them to call me to schedule an interview with Miss Cat...( the store said Misc now booking the interviews) . I haven't heard in a couple weeks... although I can imagine things hectic since the fire... is that the right way to try to schedule an appointment with Miss Cat for interview for the course? I'm pretty excited to take it .. been reading the books for the corse and pretty stoked... also sent A friend request some time back..
Is the number at the church the right way to go about making an appointment? Looking forward to being part of this community ...and take this next step of taking Miss Cats course ...Blessings...

Hi Sapmoss,
If it has been a few weeks since you have heard back, I would contact the shop again. They can direct you to the right person who is handling the interview schedule.
You will love the course, it really is amazing!
Good luck.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
Hello!
I signed up and was accepted into the course around this time last year. I completed all the assignments and mailed them in August 7, 2017. I did receive a confirmation of receipt from the post office on August 9. I am hoping everything arrived into the proper hands. I am also looking forward to receiving a spiffy certificate!
How long does it usually take to receive the certificate? I am so grateful that I was able to take the course and truly appreciate everything.
Thanks!
Amy

Hi Amy!
All of your homework arrived into the proper hands and was evaluated on August 11, 2017. I'm just about to post the report from that homework party, sorry for the delay. Since you inquired, i also send the results to your facebook account so that you could have the information right away.
Graduate certificates are usually mailed out before the next homework party and will be sent via First Class Mail to your location. You can check USPS.com for delivery times from Forestville.

Re: HRCC: Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course
I have a sort of strange question. I'm student # (a really early number, in the 400s, class of 2005). I was looking at the old files I have, and I realized that I did a lot of the homework. I was just waiting to send it in until I had ALL the homework. The two assignments I don't have are the graveyard dirt and the oil. (Actually, I even have the recipe I whipped up for the oil, with the correct herbs, on the third try).
Stuff happened, I cleaned all of my drawers, the herbs and oils went bye-bye, but the homework I'd completed was still sitting in its padded little envelope. I know the rules were different then about enrolling, doing homework, and about failing out (there definitely wasn't a "failing out" back then).
So I'm just curious about the status of any of this. I had thought I hadn't even made the mojo bag, but I had, properly labeled and everything.
If I'd have to start completely from scratch now, that's fine. I'm happy with being a not totally dumb customer. And the copies of Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic and the correspondence course text have been a Godsend.

Hii. You are student #0471 from 2005.
You may turn in as much or as little homework as you have completed. Many students go from "failed" to "graduated" in one jump.
However, this is not the right part of the forum to discuss this matter -- you should be a member of the "secret" Forum section for students and graduates! If you are not a member there, please contact my husband, nagasiva yronwode at his Facebook page, and give him your name and student number, and he will fix you up.
I am very glad to hear from you and we will get you back on the road again ASAP.
