Interesting about New Zealand and Australia I figured anything but drugs would be illegal to ship.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to ask about the shipment, please kindly advise:

1. Do you send out by ship or by courier?
2. What is the charge? (Let say I order 2 sets of Spell kits)
3. How long can be delivered to Hong Kong?

Thanks,C

Lucky Mojo usually sends its packages via the United States Postal Service aka US Mail.

Domestic shipments get an automatic tracking number via email.

International Priority Flat Rate shipments do not get a tracking number (none is generated by the USPS system), but they do get a customs form number. This customs form number is not automatically sent to you via email, but you can call or email the shop and they will give it to you.

If you pay extra for International Express Mail (which is very costly), your package will be given an automatic tacking number which will be sent to you via email, PLUS there will be a customs form number which you may have by calling or emailing the shop and asking for it.

Hi guys, my name is Luis and I had a quick question for Catherine and her staff. I´m planning on ordering some items online and I was wondering if there was any problem in shipping the items to Mexio? Would there be any problems in customs?

Hi I had a question for all of you who make foreign orders. If they charge you in customs would they charge you when the package arrives at your house or would they charge some other way?

When I order internationally, I pay only for the initial order and its shipping and handling charges, nothing more is incurred when delivered.

It probably depends on the country you're in - I'm in the UK and I get a letter from the post service telling me what the customs charges are; then I have to pay before I get my stuff.

I live in Canada and I pay the piper when he gets here so to speak. The charges depend on what they class everything as, one time they classed it as candles for the whole shipment and had to pay duties on that, another time they classed it as womens clothing for some odd reason lol, not that I'm compaining though it dropped what I was expecting to pay in customs by half

No, because LM doesn't know how much it weighs/costs either until they take it to the post office.

but you can check the US Postal web site. i think right now there's only global priority mail or speed post for overseas delivery, and you can check how much does an 1kg package costs if it's shipped to your country? etc.

I don't live in US either, normally the shipping can be less than $30 for a order of small items to a fair bit more. About 1/3 of my order usually, more if I'm getting heavy items like skull candles.

Hard to say coz each probably has different weight but they'd probably come in a small box. I think there's a minimum fee for global priority shipping, $20 plus or something, so assume you'd be paying for more than that.

Just to clarify -- we didn't ship it as "women's clothing." Customs departments are notoriously weird. I once sent a simple type-written business letter to Canada and the recipient said it arrived marked as "original artwork or photographic prints."

Our number is 707-887-1521. You will need to ask an operator in your country what country code to prefix before the number. You can also contact the shop via email at order@luckymojo.com if that is easier.

Snowwhite you need to email or call the shop and ask - the forum isn't customer service for the shop so you need to arrange stuff through them directly.

We do accept wire transfers, but you will need to arrange this through Angela and Nagasiva, the only ones who handle wire transfers).

Contact our office manager Angela via this email address:

order@luckymojo.com.

Put the subject line "Foreign Order Wire Transfer" in your mail. Make sure you tell Angela that you are in the nation of South Africa rather than the continent of Africa, as there are several African nations to which we do not ship (Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, etc.).

Be prepared -- through no fault of ours, just due to international postage costs being what they are -- that you will probably pay an amount almost equal to the total of your order in shipping charges. Sad but true.

For instance, i just looked over our most recent shipments to South Africa and saw a $12.00 shipping charge on a $12.00 item, a $36.00 shipping charge on a $38.00 order, a $36.00 shipping charge on a $37.00 order, et cetera. These were orders to a regular customer of ours in Durban; similar shipping charges were also found on orders sent to Tongaat and Johannesburg.

Because you will not be using a credit card, but rather paying a fixed amount by wire transfer, i suggest that you wire us double the amount of your order; if there is any overage, we will issue a refund.

You may copy the above text in your email to Angela to set up the wire transfer.

Thanks for choosing Lucky Mojo!

Hellen, i am sorry but we do not ship to Kenya, and we only deal in U.S. currency. If you have a friend in a European country we can ship there for you, but payment must be in U.S. dollars only.

Your situation is complicated, and a reading it may help, but if you were able to order, i would suggest Cleo May products, as they are designed to get a man to give you money.

Hi Cat,

Am also New in the site and worried and upset that you dont send to Kenya. How can you help us? Or which of yr affiliate partners websites can we visit to get your products to us?

Its not fair please Cat, we also need help. Though the customs staff are very strict at the Post offices ready to open parcels and charge you on the spot.

Thanks

Achu, it is not that we wish to refuse to ship to Kenya or refuse to help -- but in 14 years of attempting to ship orders to Africa, only one or two ever got through.

The packages we sent just "disappeared." Customers accused us of taking their money and not sending the goods -- so we sent replacements -- and those packages "disappeared" as well. So we sent refunds.

We cannot continue to try to serve people in nations where the postal service and customs service are corrupt and literally steal packages from the people. It is beyond our ability to fix the problem.

I am so sorry -- but your best bet is to find someone in a European, South American, or North American country who can receive your package for you and then will visit you or -- or who will ship to you -- someone you trust and will not seek a refund from if your package gets "disappeared" by your nation's customs service or post office service.

Every time I send anything to Brazil it seems to either disappear completely or turn up after 2 months opened and disheveled. I understand the problems with Intl. shipping to certain countries. Thank you for the quick post clearing up why you cannot ship to certain places!

Thanks Cat,

Its true they disappear. Though I have received smaller parcels from California but the customs still open and charge me again. I was once sent a buddha and a lucky chain, it was opened and felt very embarrased but told them off that it was a gift and wont pay for it again.

Getting someone from another country to do it for you is hard, especially you have to start all over again to explain why you need the parcel, its work etc and that is the start of rumours about your practices, africans are never trusted people and they never want competition.

I may try using your coworkers and see if they will help me through special prayers, Am happy with your site, at least I have found out much and getting more experiences on using St. Expedite, I didnt know of such a thing imagine.

Hi, Snowwhite -- "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic" is a great starter if you wish to work with herbs. The online FREE book "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice" gives a lot of information outside of herbs as well.

The shipping cost on one book would be ... whatever it is to your country (South Africa). We cdannot pre-calculate shipping chareges to foreign countries, as i say again and again. Calling the shop will not make a difference: we cannot -- repeat -- CANNOT -- precalcultate shippng costs to foreign countries.

Why not?

Because we have no idea what the total weight of your order, plus shipping, will be.

We are not shipping unitized, uniform, factory-made widgets, like pre-boxed made-in-China computer monitors, or pre-boxed sets of Ralph Lauren bed sheets and pillow cases.

An amulet, a statue, and six candles may cost the same as three bottles of oil, ten candles, and a jar of hair pomade, but the packages will weigh different amounts, and the statue will require more packaging around it (and hence more shipping weight) to keep it from breaking. EACH PACKAGE IS UNIQUE.

Furthermore, the shipping cost per pound of goods is different to each country. Some countries are far away, some are nearby. To ship to Canada costs less per pound than to ship to Australia. That's just reality -- and with more than 200 nations in the world, and constantly changing postal rates, we cannot even attempt to memorize the cost-per-pound to ship to each individual nation.

So .. to repeat .. because each package is unique in terms of product weight and the weight of packing material necessary to keep it secure, and because each nation has a different per-pound shipping rate, we cannot pre-estimate shipping costs to any foreign country.

Hi everyone,
On October 5 I placed a big order (36 herbs, 12 oils, a bottle spell, a spell kit and some powders. I has not arrived yet. Other orders (smaller ones) from LM would arrive within 2 weeks. I am seriously concerned since I was really eager to receive my items and it will be really difficult for my financial situation to reorder.
Have you also noticed delays in bigger orders?
or Maybe, LM was out of some supplies and they delayed the dispatch?
Please give me some hope

You need to call or email Lucky Mojo. Your question cannot be answered here, as this is not LM customer service.

Am I a little too late to learn about "Discreet Packaging"? I'm certainly hoping that the customs won't find out about what contents I'm purchasing over as mine's also quite a huge order, i guess. I've just had two orders with LM about 2 days ago. Can someone help to make it as discreet as possible? My orders are to be sent to Malaysia.

Hi,
I wouldn't worry about packaging. I have never asked about "discreet" packaging but its just a white box.
Customs do open them for inspection.
I received a notice to go and collect my parcel. It said "frangrance and personal items" and paid 55Euro for an order of 155Euro.
Next time I'll spread it in little orders. I think they arrive earlier and it is not that complicated

Thanks, rpir09..but customs around here in Malaysia aren't as easy going and can be pretty difficult most of the times when you're expecting something from other countries..and to make it worse, the post office might not even leave you a note saying you have a parcel to collect and resend the goods back to the sender before you even knew it arrived! (which made me paid double the shipping charges for the goods ordered..) I'd certainly appreciate if LM can make mine a discreet shipping. The lesser the trouble with the customs, the better..but up till now, I've yet to hear a thing from the order department of LM even after I've sent them quite a number of mails..so I don't even know if my orders are out or still in packing mode.
Warmest Regards,
Stella Hoshiko

Re: International Orders / International Shipping

Unread post by JieXuan » Tue Nov 16, 2010 7:42 pm

anyhow, I'd found something that may be useful/helpful to all international clients of LM, under the topic of "How Long To Receive Orders?" I've read the whole thread again and again, just to make sure I don't miss a single word of advice stated there. Everything on LM are handmade, from oils to candles to sachets, etc. Candles are made quicker than oils do and sachet powders are the most time consuming types. Here's how our orders will probably go like:-

1) we order and pay
2) LM confirms payment received then send our orders into queue of "quick pick" (with quick pick being items already stored up in the shelves and ready for packing)
3) if items are not completed after LM's "quick pick", those missing items will be handmade by them (in here, the time of making varies according to each and every one of our order list) Example: 600 bottles of oils can take up to 6 weeks to produce.
4) Unless stated "Please ship everything in stock in one package and refund for any items not in stock." on the message below our order lists where whatever that is in stock will be shipped right out and only leaving out a few missing items which will be refunded, everything we ordered will be halted until every single item's completely packed.
5) Small orders can possibly be sent out in a day or two if it passes their "quick pick" queue.
6) There's one member who waited for about 1 month before the items arrived. (though the place of arrival is unknown)

I don't know how much this information will help those of us who order from countries other than US but I guess people from as far as the country I am in right now will probably have to wait up to 4 to 6 weeks (if our orders consist of many items)..I have about 29 bottle of oils ordered with a mixture of about 20 herbs and curios and some flannel bags in total. I don't know how long I'll have to wait but this is how far I can estimate for my lady boss, since she's the one paying all these items. Maybe I'll have to wait up to about more than a month to get them, I guess..but at least this will offer us some rough estimation of when to order the items from LM just so we don't run out of stock on our side next time too, correct?

Hi Folks,
I have ordered several packages in the past from LM and I have been fully satisfied and have also loved the results.
Unfortunately this time, through fault of my own, I didnt get to customs in time and they sent my last order back to LuckyMojo. I am not sure who to contact and what the procedure is to have it sent back to me again. I probably would need to pay for shipping somehow, but am not sure how to go about doing that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hugs,
Colorfulsky

Hi colorfulsky,
You need to contact the store.
This forum is not for contacting the store.

Dear svarthyndan,
Thanks so much for your help. I have just sent them an e-mail.
I hope it can get sorted out too, because I was looking foreward to my LM oils, they smell so lovely:)
For the future I will order in smaller amounts so that the packages dont go through customs.
have a great holliday season,

Okay, I hope I'm not in the wrong thread regarding this since mine is considered an international order. Does anyone knows how to qualify for UPS shipping instead of USPS? The mean officers on our side here actually halted our orders and demand to confiscate our goods as well..and they even stole from our orders! So if anyone knows how to qualify for UPS shipping, please do help to advice. Thanks.

To my knowledge there is no International UPS shipping option, but there is an International FedEx option -- if you have an existing FedEx account. Y

ou must have your own FedEx account in order to get things shipped by that method, and they will check to see that it is an established account and not something that you set up for one-time use.

Normally they ship via USPS:

International Priority Flat Rate shipments do not get a tracking number (none is generated by the USPS system), but they do get a customs form number. This customs form number is not automatically sent to you via email, but you can call or email the shop and they will give it to you.

If you pay extra for International Express Mail (which is very costly), your package will be given an automatic tacking number which will be sent to you via email, PLUS there will be a customs form number which you may have by calling or emailing the shop and asking for it.

Thanks, Devi Spring..but I've seen here somewhere where Ms.Cat had mentioned about using UPS for heavier orders..only that I don't know how heavy it is to qualify.

Hi everyone, may i ask does LM staff declares the Full Purchase Value of our items for shipping to Singapore?
As mine is quite a large orders about USD400 including shipping.
I may be charged by my local customs for taxes if thats the actual value declared.
So im wondering do they declare full purchase amount or can it be declared as gifts in a lower value?
Thanks muchly, greatly appreciated ;)

Oh that doesn't sound so good
I have actually left a note in my orders so hopefully
they are able to declare at a lower value.
Thanks Devi :D

It's not that they are able to or not, it's technically illegal to do so. So for businesses it's important to keep all their mailings by-the-book. It is also actually to your advantage for them to claim things properly, because customs is very likely to delay and open and inspect packages that they feel may not have accurate claim forms - which can delay your package by weeks or even months, or sometimes just cause your package to disappear.

Yes that's very true.
I do hope that my package will reach me safe and sound
And I have opted for the Priority flat rate box medium
which does come with tracking number so at least
I should be able to track it should there be any probs.
Btw, do they send the tracking number by email once
our orders are shipped or we have to ask from
the staffs for it?
Thanks ;)

Hi Magickalcurios,

Domestic shipments get an automatic tracking number via email.

International Priority Flat Rate shipments do not get a tracking number (none is generated by the USPS system), but they do get a customs form number. This customs form number is not automatically sent to you via email, but you can call or email the shop and they will give it to you.
