Sorry, I didn't really even answer your original question. Sometimes I get in such an all-fired hurry to share something that I don't even get all the info.

Touching oil to your mojo with your fingers is an excellent way to apply the oil. It's personal, it's an intimate thing and it's a good physical connection. You're dead on.

Hi, just a few questions on feeding a mojo bag...
They should be fed once a week and always on the same day, right? (at the same hour too?)
When the oil is finished, can they be fed with whiskey (or something else)?
How long do you have to carry a mojo bag (for example, an uncrossing mojo)?
Do they have an "expry date", a date till when they are alive, or are they always alive?
Antonella.

Well, that can be different for different people, I'm a rather tactile person and can usually tell just by touching mine, you can use a pendulum to ask if its still alive and working for you.

Hello Antonella,

For an active mojo that is working for you yes, tho I personal don't worry about getting the hour right. If its a bag that you are not actively using, for example a court case mojo, but you are notin legal trouble then I would feed it once a month and when you need it to start actively working wake it up with prayer and a little whiskey.

Well, you can always buy more condition oil of course lol. Whiskey is a good choice for many, but in my option not all mojos, I personally would not use whiskey for say a blessing hand for a baby, see where I'm going with this? As for other things to feed your mojo, Hoyt's cologne is very good for gambling, money and luck type hands, and your own urine is also very very good.

For as long as you need its help.

Some workers, myself included recommend remaking a mojo once a year, opening it, washing the hard bits and replacing the soft crumbly herbs, of course you have to pray over everything again and if you don't know how to make a mojo you can just buy another. Tho not everyone follows the idea that they should be remade once a year.
And of course your mojo will be killed if seen or touched.

If you have to say a certain prayer, it will be named in the instructions, but it may not be included. You may have to read a verse from the Bible over it several times. Check your instructions, they should have all the information you need.

Red felt is not used for mojo bags, as far as I know, but red flannel is. I believe it's on the website:

I sometimes just get my clients to cut a square from a old shirt thats the correct color of the work, that way if its for protection, as a example, it would attract it to them using the shirt as a personal concern.

Hi mandy127,

If the hair is long enough, you could cut it in half and use a portion in both the mojo and the doll. If I had to choose, however, I would probably put the hair in the doll. And yes, you can just put it in there, wherever you want to most directly affect him--head, heart, etc.

I'd say that he knows on some level that you're doing work on him.
Peace be with you,

Hi Mandy,

I'd say his *sub*conscious was/is aware of what you are doing...and communicated that to his conscious mind via the dream state. What his conscious mind decides to do with that information is another matter entirely.
Peace be with you,

I would say no. You don't just go opening mojos , you used that hair in that spell with the mojo, Go get another if you need it.

You dab or sprinkle it with what ever you are feeding it. You must feed and talk to a mojo regularly or it will not work for you. Search the forums and the LuckyMojo site.

I made a mojo hand with 7 items, then added a personal concern. Does this make it 8? If so, should I take out one item and redo it?

Hi

I just recently got an order from LM. In it is a Mojo for me, and I know hair or nail clippings are a good personal concern to use, and the instructions call for one's hair, but I am wondering if one's menstrual blood would be a good inclusion, along with the hair or without the hair... Anyone here ever use their blood as a personal concern in a Mojo?

Thank you for your time and any help you may wish to give.

I use my blood in my mojos, though not menstrual blood, just a drop from my finger. The mojo came right to life and is still working. Since I haven't used hair or clippings in any mojo, I can't tell you if it's more powerful or not.

Typically mojo bags are made with an odd number of items and when the client receives the bag they have to add a personal concern to make the bag their own, therefore I think your bag is fine just the way it is.

take care,

Clean each item with whiskey and dress it with your favorite luck oil. Pray over each item and tell it what you want it to do, then put it in the bag. Include a personal concern like urine, semen, menstrual blood, hair, etc. so the bag knows who to work for. Burn your favorite luck incense and put the bag through the smoke a few times. Say Psalm 23. Tie the bag and put some more oil on the string and at the opening of the bag. Make sure to feed it at least once a week.

Well first widdle down the list a bit, usually for a gambling hand I like to have 7 or 13 items in it but if you like you could use all of the above in the bag. I would however leave out some of the stuff both because 7,and 13 are lucky numbers for gambling to me and because some of what you have listed is redundant. For example the Badger Tooth and Alligator Tooth. Out of what you have listed I would put the Alligator Tooth, Five Finger Grass, High John the Conqueror, the Lodestone, Magnetic Sand, the Hand Bone and a bit of the Black Cat Hair into the bag. Dress the roots, lodestone, tooth, bone and hair with Van Van oil. Take a 20 or 50 dollar bill and write your petition on it seven times, one under the other, turn the bill 90 degrees and write your name crossed over your petition seven times, add one or seven or your hairs on top of that and fold it up towards you. Add that to the bag. You should be doing all of this by the light of a candle, green would be best, dressed with the Van Van oil. As you add each item to the bag call out what it is for and what it will do. Pray the 23 psalm over it, breath into it and tie the bag shut.Feed the bag then with three drops of Van Van oil, a bit of Hoyt's cologne or whiskey. Feed the bag with the oil whiskey,or Hoyt's cologne regularly.

But if you do not have the gift to make mojo hands you would be a lot better off buying a hand from LuckyMojo, but go ahead and try and see, maybe you do have the knack for it.

Can you explain what you mean by petition?

Mama Micki recomended "Include a personal concern like urine, semen, menstrual blood, hair, etc. so the bag knows who to work for." can you shed some detail on that? Just on each item? What is the one book you would recommend from the Lucky Mojo inventory that would help me the most in this venture? I feel like there is a mountain of knowledge that I need to have.

Adding a few hairs will work for a personal concern, as for a book, ms.cat's HooDoo Herb and Root Magic is wonderful.

It is not and I do not know of any one that sells them gotten in the old way.

Write something like "Luck at play" or "Bring me big winnings" write that nine times, one under the other.

Re: Mojo Bag, Conjure Hand, Toby, Gree-Gree Questions & Answers

You can carry both bags on you. How long? Well, many folks carry their mojo bags around for years. If you bought a particular bag though for a short term purpose then once your desire has been accomplished you will thank the bag and dispose of it in a ritually appropriate manner.

good luck,

I didn't think this was related to my other thread, so I decided to create a new one.. Hopefully I didn't break some secret rule of multi-posts, because I'm going to be asking a few questions in the other forum categories too :)

Anyways, here are my questions:

- Is a handmade toby more powerful/effective compared to a premade one since it's more personal and more intimately connected to me?

- I don't have much experience in hoodoo (apart from exploring and learning from the many LM and forum pages)- would it still be fine for me to make one, rather than buying a premade one?
This way I get to pick and choose the "effects" of the mojo hand, and with the added benefit of having leftover herbs to make another if anything goes wrong :P

- I've ordered Miss Cat's HHRM, will there be detailed instructions in there on how to create, activate and dress the mojo hand? I'd hate to have ordered everything in order to make it, and find out I've no idea how to :(

- Is there a limit as to how many different herbs/curios that goes into the mojo hand, if they all generally complement each other? (e.g all for fidelity, love, long-lasting relationships, passion etc)

Thank you so much in advance for your advice, and have a great day :D

Thanks for your response! :)

As I'd explained in my first post, I'd like to have added "effects" of the other love mojo hands, such as fidelity, harmony, and him still lusting after me..

So perhaps my question should be rephrased- If I added additional items apart from personal concerns, things such as charms, other herbs and curios, would I get the effects that I want, or would the mojo hand somehow be messed up?
Would this somewhat be the equivalent to carrying all 3 mojo hands (love me, stay with me, follow me boy)?

Have a great day! :D

A mojo that you order from a reputible place, like Lucky Mojo, will be prayed over as it is being constructed, and you will be required to add your own personal concerns to completely individualize the bag, and will also be responsible for feeding it. So even if it's pre-made it will still be personalized to you specifically. You can also get one made specifically for your needs if you call a rootworker to make one for you - they may have you send the personal concerns to them directly to work it into the bag themselves. But either way, a bag gets loaded with stuff to make it specific to your needs.

If you have a gift for the work, then you can certainly make one yourself and it can be effective. That's how you learn after all! However, even if you are gifted you may not be gifted for all kinds of work, so you may find that you are good at money work and stink at love work - or visa versa. So there are no guarantees - but you learn from all these experiences, right? So it's valuable in that regard.

You could contact a rootworker and have them provide you with magical coaching to learn how to do this work effectively - still allowing you to do all the work. However you can be mentored through the process so there are less likely to be any "newbie" mistakes along the way, which still being very educational. http://www.readersandrootworkers.org has many readers and rootworkers listed, and many of them offer magical coaching.

There's info on how to make and dress mojos on this page:
http://www.luckymojo.com/mojo.html
Generally you're going to keep your ingredients down to a total of 3,7,9, or 13.

HHRM has alot of instructions on many different kinds of work, so there's bound to be some lists in there of ingredients to go into a mojo hand. Whether or not there's a love mojo listed, you can learn from reading about how other mojos are created and transfer that knowledge to your own work.

Hi again Devi! Thanks for taking the time to answer my queries!

If I were to add additional herbs and curios into a pre-made mojo, I wouldn't know what's in it until I receive it, and since I want to get everything in one shipping, (I live overseas, so shipping costs run pretty high) this wouldn't be very cost-effective, considering I'm on a student's budget.

My order for the HHRM will be shipped together with the other things I'm getting, so I really need to know whether detailed instructions for making a mojo hand is inside. The mojo page on the site gives vague details to creating/dressing the mojo, so more in-depth instructions would be clearer and will (hopefully) prevent any mistakes on my part.

Rootworker consultation fees run pretty high, (a dollar a minute for at least half an hour, if I'm not wrong?) so as much as I'd like to, I don't think it'd be possible on my already-stretched budget limit :(

Thank you again for your great advice!

Honestly, I would order the book and read through it (I have it, but I'm not going to go reread through the whole thing to tell you if there are detailed instructions for a love mojo in there somewhere - LOL), and then decide on what action you're going to take. Most of the work that's listed in the book isn't overly detailed, though. It's usually along the lines of "Take X, Y and Z, and put it into a bag. Dress the bag with X oil while praying the 00 Psalm. Keep it with you at all times and feed it each week as long as you want it to work." So it tells you what to do, but not in a micro-management kind of way.

If you're worried about inflated costs for shipping (I live in Canada so the shipping is more expensive and then I get hit with customs with every order, so it always ends up costing me a bunch extra to get LM supplies - so I understand) and not getting exactly what you want/need, then I would just put that money towards getting a rootworker to read and make the mojo for you. It can actually be more cost effective that way. And $1/minute is a very fair price - many other kinds of psychic readers charge WAY more than that!

Making a mojo is fairly simple - you decide what goes in, put it in with prayer and intent, and then dress and feed it once a week to keep it working. Just be confident and believe in what you are doing. If you're very worried or doubtful then you'll only be lessening the power of your work that way.

The only way you're really going to get MORE detailed instructions than that is if someone dictates each exact ingredient, and dictates what exact prayers to say (in hoodoo using the psalms is very common,http://www.luckymojo.com/secretspsalms.html). I understand that when you're first learning it's helpful to have extremely explicit instructions. But you seem to be very concerned with getting a very specific and personalized mojo that doesn't necessarily fit into one particular condition. So your best bet to get what you need within a certain budget may very well be to hire someone to make it for you, or at least coach you through making it.

Of course there are plenty of other kinds of love work that you could do that may be more comfortable and less worry-ridden for you at the moment, and if you're very unsure about your ability to make a mojo effectively, and you don't want to get someone to make one or coach you, then you may want to start with a different kind of work until you feel more confident.

My $0.02 :)

That is an extremely good point you made- no idea how I didn't think of it, that I might actually save more money in the long run

I'm making plans to consult Miss Cat, and I'm hoping she could actually make me a custom mojo hand.. That way I'd be sure that it wouldn't be screwed up or ineffective if I made it :P

In the meantime, I'll probably start on a honey jar to sweeten my boy up!

Thanks so much for your great advice! :D

I wouldn't add anything to the mojo - it's prepared and prayed over by the worker who did it, it works as it is. your task is really just to 'activate' by adding personal concerns, bringing it to life and keep working it.

you probably want a nation sack that ties the man's nature so he's all yours. it comes with follow me boy oil. if u want the guy to lust after you, the easiest is to put your menstrual blood in his food/drink. As for harmony, I'd do a honey jar.

The only thing I'm worried about is how much shipping will be with all the oils and herbs I'm ordering!

Thanks for all your advice, everyone! It's very much appreciated :D
