Hello

Recently I received my Paper in my Shoe book-it's fantastic!

Page 93 to keep a man. My onion has gone bad, but wish to keep the work going. Please can you advice would I restart the work. The book talks about what to do should you wish to get rid of him. But not about continuing the work.

Thanks in advance

Hi, oceanblue -- i am glad you like the book.

In working with onions, it is the usual custom to bury them. I have sometimes been clever enough to place a small name pappaer with a love-petition in an onion and plant the onion and have it regrow! Then i harvested the onion and used it in cooking for the person i wished to have love with. It worked.

Hello Catherineyronwode

Thank you for responding. What a fantastic idea about harvesting the onion.

I kept my onion in my bag, and now it's gone bad, worried not wanting yo leave the paper in it, in between wanting to throw up because of the stench, I pulled the soggy paper out and now left to dispose of the onion.

I'm going to try your method. Next time I know not to pull the paper out.

I recently purchased 3 books, they are fantastic, the problem is I'm always having to hide them in between reads. I wish they were available electronically, and no one would ever know what I was reading when ever on public transport etc...

Thanks again

Glad i could help.

As for electronic books, i have no interest in the format. I come frm a long line of printers and typesetters, reaching back to the 1600s, and i just happen to like books. :-)

Hot Foot to Drive Away Rivals, Enemies, Bad Relatives

Unread postby KINGoftheUNIVERSE » Mon Nov 09, 2015 3:59 pm

Hi everyone!

Is there a way to hotfoot yourself by accident? I ask that question because I plan on putting a picture of my rival in my shoe dusted with hotfoot and I was wondering if it would effect me.

Hello, KINGoftheUNIVERSE ,

I have moved your post over here so that you can look at this thread and perhaps buy this book for more ideas.

As long as it doesn't touch you whatsoever.

I would wrap that up in a plastic bag before putting it in my show

Good luck!

Will there ever be an ebook version of this book or any of the other books available on this site? It would be very convenient to have them in such a form...easier to keep away from the eyes of those we live with but don't want knowing what we're up to ;)

Hi, could u tell me if u know how to rule someone with a petition paper & crossing a name 34 times. I saw this is this book, paper in my shoe by Catherine Yronwpde, in the middle of page 15, yet it's somewhat unclear.

Do u write out the persons name 34 times & turn to the left or anticlockwise & criss over with my name 34 times? Or the targets name & turn & cross my name over theirs 34 times?
I hope u can help.

Thanks in advance

Dear HappyLivin101 --

I am sorry, but there is no such thing on page 15 of my book "Paper in My Shoe." Page 15 is about The Greek Magical Papyri and written charms engraved on metal.

If you can locate the spell you want explained, i will be glad to help.

Hello,

I purchased “Paper In My Shoe”

I have some questions I hope you will help me with.

On page 63 there is a Wealthy Way spell that says to burn a candle for 5 days. I may be misunderstanding.

1. Is this spell effective to draw money to you in general or is it only for gambling?

2. If the money I will be drawing to me is not specifically from gambling how often do you suggest the spell be done -- every week for 5 days at a time?

On page 64, for Marked Money, after the prep is done, it says to put the dressed money back in your wallet.

3. Can I spend the money or is it supposed to stay in my wallet?

4. When I put a paper in my shoe, can I tape it on to the insole?

Thank you for your help.

hi, ginjer29,

1. In general.

2. I would do it as needed, once a week is pretty often. I would try it once a month.

3. Spend it and always be adding more.

4. Sure. Use duct tape!

Good news! My book "Paper in My Shoe" has been a runaway success. Our first print-run has sold out in less than one year (normally it takes two to three years for this to happen) and we are going back to press with a larger print-run this time, so that we can keep up with demand.

The second edition will look the same as the first from the outside, but i am taking the opportunity of arranging for a reprint to correct a few typos and rewrite a few paragraphs. Even better, i am adding a new spell on page 89 and a new illustration on page 86, so this second edition will be even more jam-packed with practical magical advice than it was. Also, for those who follow our hoodoo history, i have revised page 38 to include my newly discovered information about the secret identity of the 1940s occult author Henri Gamache.

There may be a pause in our supply of these books while the new edition is at the printer, but if you don't mind waiting, you can order and specifiy SECOND EDITION on your order and we will ship your book as soon as we have them in.

Thanks, all, for your enthusiatic response to "Paper in My Shoe" and for your kind reviews at Amazon and on facebook.

Re: Jewish Bowl Spell for Love?

Unread postby profzam » Sun Jun 05, 2016 5:43 am

Are these Jewish bowl spells for love, as mentioned in the Love Spells thread, or similar ones for protection, like the one in the book "Paper in My Shoe," still being made?

If so, can they be purchased in a "generic" form or are they only made for individual clients?

Hi, profzam --

I don't know of anyone making replicas or new versions of written Jewish spell bowls. There are similar-seeming brass bowls with Arabic inscriptions available, but they simply contain generic praises of Allah and are not "bills of divorcement" from demons.

As i understand them, these bowls would always be custom made, of clay, and contain the name of the client. There's an opening for an enterprising potter with a working knowledge of magic -- and Hebrew -- out there!

This book is amazing! I ordered from Amazon before even knowing about this wonderful forum.

I also bought "A Deck of Spells". Strangely enough my 7yo has a natural gift for the cards and I REALLY struggle with them.

I'll be ordering more books because they are so detailed, well explained with a history of in depth information and easy to understand illustrations.

My name paper work has improved sooo much because of the book and I am so confident in myself now. You made a WISE investment towards fostering your craft.

Love and light

*edit
I'm extremely analytical and constantly thinking so I wanted to add that it isn't strange that my 7yo daughter has a natural gift for cards, with her virgin mind and her nonexistent self doubt, it makes it much easier for her lol.

But as I sd, the books are pretty easy to use and follow, even my 7yo has picked up a craft and I will be there in every way to nurture it...hmm I think I may look and see if there's a thread on here about children and introducing them into folk magic. I've included her into many rituals but would enjoy reading ideas from other parents

hi everyone,

I just had a question a quick question. First and foremost i love paper in my shoe!!!!! i received it in the mail about a few weeks ago and have gotten so much tips from it. I was just curious to know was if i legally changed my name(due to me being transgender) would i have to use my birth name on the petition paper or should i just stick with using the name i have now, or both? i've had success with writing the current name on the petition papers i write for certain spell and when i write on my candles but would it benefit if i used both or the other? Should i just do a test of trial and error?

blessings :)

I always use the person's current name, but sometimes, if i know it or feel like it, i add the original birth surname or birth name or even the parents' names, if known (son of so-and-so or daughter of so-and-so). But, generally, the current name.

In the book it notes psalm 91 carries on the person can be effective, any way other psalms can be while written and carried?

Hello, Shutter --

Virtually all of the 150 Psalms have been, at one time or another, carried on the person for one purpose or another. See a list of all of the Psalms and their uses in African American (and Jewish) folk magic here:

Thanks for the clarification! That site is actually the ONLY resource for psalm text I use. :)

Hello,

I just wanted to post on this lovely little gem! Beautifully laid out with lots of great reference material I am glad to own it and will recommend to my friends.

On the chapter of 'The true length' pg. 24, it reminded me of a week long workshop I attended at a benedictine monastery where we were learning about iconography; and I was told by one of monks that there are a group of religious sisters, I cant remember where from, that take the full body measure of people- usually a newborn child and use that length as the length of the wooden canvass on which they paint an icon of a protective saint or angel to guard them during life.

I also was reminded of The long lost friend and how they are usually printed small to be an amulet or charm of protection to the wearer.

So yeah, small but gets you thinking and I definitely walked away feeling more acclimatised to the thinking behind the works/jobs where paper is used. I even went away to look up origami folds for the seed packet!
Thank you Saint Anthony of Padua
