I have been continuing to feed and use the mojo bag I made to find a job, to help me with my new sales job. I pop it in my bra and wear it often, sometimes I leave it home. I've noticed when I wear it, I get a sensation right where it is in my bra. This never happens when I'm not wearing it. Could this be from the energy of the bag or more mundane... the lodestone inside? It is a pretty small lodestone, but that is the only other thing I can think of. Its not quite burning, but I definitely feel it.

Ok great! I was hoping it was that and not that the lodestone was some sort of hazard to have near your skin. I had a really good day today, so I think it's helping! I feel attached to it as well, it's hard to put it into words..

Hello everyone I am new to this forum and mojo bags else as well.

I am trying to make a mojo bag, I have the supplies i want picked out I am going to order them today.

I wanted to know do i need to make an alter? I have been reading these forums for days now and that is something i haven't seen.

I had a friend that worked with candles and oils, she showed me how to dress candles etc. Before we started she made an alter she said before doing any work an alter always has to be made and something personal needs to be placed on it.

Do i need to make an alter or can i make the bag without having an alter?

I am excited to make the bag. Thank you for you help in advance :-)

Hello, PrettyinBlue,

You don't need an elaborate altar to make a mojo hand.

But, here is the thread on altars (lots of information here):

Wishing you the best with your Mojo hand!!

Hello, PrettyinBlue --

You do not need an altar to make a mojo, but you do need to learn how to SPELL the word altar. LOL!

ALT-E-R means to change. Your alter your hair colour. You alter ill-fitting clohers. Remeber: The A changes to an E.

ALT-A-R means a surface that is often, not always up high, where religious goods such as dstauary, sacred volumes, spiritual supplies, and memorabilia are kept, displayed, and worked with. Remember: ALTA means "high" or "tall" in Latin -- an Altar is usually (but not always!) on a table or shelf up off of the ground.

Hello Curious1,

Lucky Mojo mojo bags are made according to Lucky Mojo's recipes and formulas, and will always utilize Lucky Mojo oils and other products. A mojo bag made by an AIRR worker would probably be made according to their own recipe and their divination on the subject, and could use a mix of Lucky Mojo products and their own products.

Hope that helps!

Hello Curious1,

No, I don't think so. Dominating someone is a *lot* different than reconciling with them. I think the reconciliation bag would need to be its own thing.

Unread postby BrotherAI » Tue Nov 08, 2016 6:00 pm

Greetings! I had a few questions about Mojo Hands, which are quickly becoming my favorite contained spell, and so I want to know everything about them.

1) I am dying to now why a Miller's Knot is used - on cat's mojo page (http://www.luckymojo.com/mojo.html) she states that she can explain to her students the significance of the knot, which leads to a broken link (easily fixed, but leads me to the course page). Although I have plans to enroll I am hoping that maybe I can receive some insight behind the knot before i am able to do so!

2) cat also talks about how the majority of "legit" hands she ordered were all tied - what about a hand that expects personal concerns by the user, like nails/hair, etc. Would the bag be sent tied, with instructions to untie, add concerns, pray over/smoke the bag, re-tie, feed, and hide? Or would the worker want to collect these personal concerns before-hand? I have read some posts here by some workers stating that they would have the client add the concerns, but I am looking for specifics about sending a tied bag, untying, adding, fixing, etc., as i explained. I know many of the curios/seals would be anointed/prayed over by the worker but i would like specifics about how the job is completed. Thank you!

Hello, BrotherAI ,

Unfortunately, we cannot discuss things that are covered in Miss cat's course. Sorry!

Yu can look up how to tie that knot on the google search engine

The mojo hands that Lucky Mojo are sent with a simple tie. You will anoint and pray over everything. Then, tie it up, then you can't reopen it again.

Wishing you the best

Which Mojo Hand is Best For Me?

Unread postby bluesman92 » Wed Nov 09, 2016 7:07 am

Hello, I'm an aspiring guitar player. Mostly blues and heavily blues influenced music. I've been trying to master the style of Robert Johnson. It's impossible I know. I was considering a mojo hand. Hoping it would help me come as close as possible to being able to reproduce it genuinely. And to aid in the writing of my own music. Something that will help bring me to a place of creativity. To be able to create music greater than I ever have. What are your suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Hello, bluesman92 --

I would suggest the Blues Boy Special Mojo Hand. It was named for the musician B.B. (Blues Bloy) King.

Dear Seven-

These is no simple answer to this question.

Generally speaking a jack, which is more personalized and much more complex to make, costs a bit more and is considered to be more powerful than a mojo -- BUT! -- a well-made mojo with personal concerns added and regularly attended to is said to be as strong as a jack. It is the fact that mojo hands do not always include personal concerns that makes the difference, not the container (a cloth or leather mojo wrapping versus a thread, string, or yarn jack wrapping).

All that being said, however, the jack has one other function that the mojo does not have -- it can be used as a pendulum to divine the best days or times on which to bet, invest, or make business partnerships. Therefore it is considered by some people to be superior to a mojo if you need to set time-frames for investment.

Hello all!

I recently ordered an mojo hand from Lucky Mojo with the intention of attracting a wealthy sugar mommy (I am a lesbian woman)

Well, that night I fed it with Attraction oil, prayed over her and spoke to her very kindly. However, last night I found the instructions that came with the hand- I admit that I never read instructions, lol- and I wasn't aware that I had to personalize it!

Its been about a week ot two since I've had the hand, and I would really like to personalize it- is it too late, or would I risk undoing the work by unting it? Any advice would be greatly appreciate it!

Hello BeautifulWitch,

Sorry, but mojo bags are not supposed to be untied once they're tied. Once they're shut, they're supposed to stay shut. I'd recommend getting another—and read the instructions :)

How to care for a Mojo bag

Unread postby RKGOMES » Mon Dec 19, 2016 6:37 am

Hi -

I have a Follow Me Boy Triple Strength Mojo Bag, and a Lavender Love Triple Strength Mojo Bag. I have been "feeding" them, even after the spell has been long completed by continuing to dress them with their appropriate oils, while saying what I said during the spell "(Name of Lover) Follow me", "(Name of Lover) come to me". Is this appropriately feeding the mojo to keep it working/powerful? If not, please advise.

Also, I wanted to confirm - once the assistance of any particular mojo bag is no longer needed, is it appropriate to bury it? Please advise.

Thank you!

Hello RKGOMES,

The bag probably arrived loosely closed, and if that's the case, you can undo it and put your items in. The bag isn't shut forever until it is tied shut tight.

In terms of an already made mojo bag, would it be inappropriate to add additional items to the bag at a later date?

For example, I have a protection bag with some herbs, trinkets and minerals inside. If I acquired another item, say, a crucifix, would it be wrong to open the bag and put that in, seal it up and feed and recharge the bag?

Hello, MeowMix,

I do not know what you mean when you say you intend to "recharge" the bag. Do you mean in terms of it being a like a spiritual battery (metaphorically) or do you mean as in a Pagan rite, like "The Charge of the Goddess" or a long-meter Christian hymn like "A Charge To Keep I Have"?

Hey y'all,

Sorry if it's been answered before, but I wasn't able to find an answer in my forum searches. My question: I'd like to create a mojo bag for a loved one for their increased success and well-being, but I don't think they'd carry it. Would you suggest I make it and carry it myself, or make it and shove it in their backpack, or just make a doll baby for them instead?

I appreciate all your help.

Hello magicapuella,

You could make it and hide it somewhere in their home somewhere you do not think they would find it if you think they might be offended by this type of work or something. A doll baby is also a good way to work if you would like to do that but I would do that in conjunction with sprinkling powders where they will walk in them or other contact style work if you can manage it.

Peace~

I purchased a Queen Elizabeth root for a mojo bag. The root is kind of large, so, do I use the entire root or can I just break/cut some of the root off. I think it will make the mojo bag a little bulky. However, I want to make sure that breaking/cutting the root will not make it lose any of it's power.

Thanks

Re: Mojo Bag, Conjure Hand, Toby, Gri-Gri Questions & Answers

Unread postby Goddess_moon » Fri Feb 24, 2017 11:15 am

Hello everyone,

I am new in posting to the LM forum but have been reading the forum and listen to the LM Hoodoo Rootwork Hour for a few years. I've had the honor of purchasing my first LM products in person when I took a drive up there with a priestess friend of mine. I'm a huge fan of Catherine Yronwode and reading her books have inspired me in so many areas of my life. I am new to posting because many inquiries I've had in practicing hoodoo and studying herb and roots have been found in the LM forum. I don't know if I am posting to the right thread, but will give it a try.

I purchased a mojo (red) from LM shop a few years ago (2011) for love attraction with someone I have known for 9 years but at the time our time was always off. When he was ready, I was not and vice versa. There is chemistry between us but never moved forward to dating. When I put together the mojo and added venus oil along with lodestones, petition, herbs, etc, I kept it close with me everyday. Although we didn't start dating until 2014 for a very short period of time, time passed on and the mojo stayed in my drawer but not fed or recharged. 2 weeks ago, I opened the mojo bag and realized I wasn't supposed to open it and read the petition. The following day he contacted me through social media and it has been 18 months since we last talked. I knew that I was supposed to bury the mojo bag since I opened it and probably need to make a new one. However I wanted to share this on the forum in case anyone has experienced this and if any of the LM moderators can give me feedback and insight on what this means. I thought it was strange to hear from him right after I untied the mojo. Since the time of it being re-opened, I prayed over the mojo bag, kept it close with me as well as fed it with venus and van van oil. I'm just not sure if I should indeed bury it since I opened it. We have been talking on the phone and have seen each other once. He's away in NOLA for work and lives close by in California. Would it be ideal to restart the same mojo?
I've recently broke off a dysfunctional unhealthy relationship the last several months with someone else, and struggling in my journey of cleansing myself completely of him. So I haven't had any interest to meet anyone new until the guy I dated a few years back with the mojo I put together returned and has resurfaced.
I made an order of LM products today but nothing related to my post. I look forward to receiving my order as I have never ordered on the site; only in the LM shop and other shops that sell LM products (Ancient Ways & Sacred Well).
Thank you for reading my post, I look forward to your feedback.

Hello Goddess_moon,

I'm so glad you've found spiritual fulfillment through Lucky Mojo and this community, that's wonderful!

As for your question about the mojo bag, I can't help but feel like him reconnecting with you right after you untied the mojo is a coincidence. When you untie a mojo bag, you're "untying" the magic, which is why you're not supposed to untie them. The fact that you two are reconnecting despite the untied mojo tells me maybe that mojo was just dead after all. What you could do is take any hard items that were in that mojo bag (roots, coins, lodestones, etc.) and use them to create a new mojo bag, one that you create a new petition paper for and fill with new herbs.

Hope that helps!

Hello Sister Jean,

Thank you for the feedback. I will move forward in burying the mojo bag and order a new one from LM. I have the few items that I will take and add to the new mojo along with my petition. I'm motivated in starting a new one as I've learned so much more these last few years since the creation of this mojo, from LM forum and Catherine's books.

With Gratitude

Greetings and blessings to everyone on the forum,

I want to purchase a mojo bag, or jackball from Lucky Mojo for self confidence, reducing anxiety and depression, and to promote self love. I looked all over the LM site, but couldn't find anything except for the custom made jackball. I wanted to know if there was a specific one I could purchase for the reasons listed above besides the jackball. I'm even thinking about making one of my own in the mean time while I wait to decide on which one would be perfect for my situation. Could anyone recommend any herbs and curios that I could put in my mojo bag to promote self love and reduce depression/anxiety? All herbs would be purchased from LM of course :D

Thanks in advance!

Hello meesht29,

I would recommend getting a Blessing mojo bag (http://www.luckymojo.com/blessing.html). You will be able to customize it when you get it when you add your petition paper telling it what you would like the mojo bag to help o accomplish.

Peace~

Hello Lavender rose,

Yes, you can change the oil you dress the mojo bag with. A good combo for you might be Follow Me Boy and Fire of Love, to get him paying more attention with you and also rekindle that physical affection:

The spell is done, what to do with the mojo bag now?

Unread postby River » Mon May 15, 2017 12:30 am

I'm wondering what people's thoughts are regarding what to so with a mojo bag once the spell is done. I get that it's variable depending on the working and that different practitioners may do different things. From burn it to bury it I have heard some ideas but I am curious enough to want to hear more.

Hello River,

A pretty thorough discussion of this topic is at this link (http://www.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html). Other people could chime in if they like but in terms of hoodoo this link is pretty exhaustive.

Peace~

Hello all!

I am new to the forum and have some questions regarding which type of mojo bag I should purchase from LM.

I recently separated from my boyfriend who I have a baby with. We are currently on good terms. I have been working on a honey jar for about 5 days and it has been working wonders on the communication side (considering we were on bad terms prior to that). He even took the time to make an incredibly nice slideshow for Mother's Day. We only see each other when he comes to pick up/drop off the baby. I would really like for him to come back home and work on our relationship and fall in love like before. Being new parents (& a stay at home mom) has really put a noose around our relationship. You can say the love has diminished.

My question is: Should I be purchasing the Reconciliation Mojo Bag or the Love Me Mojo Bag?

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hello gg18,

I would recommend choosing between the Reconciliation mojo bag (http://www.luckymojo.com/reconciliation.html) or the Return to Me mojo bag (http://www.luckymojo.com/returntome.html). If you had a fight or the brea up was kind of heated then go with Reconciliation, if you just kind of drifted apart then I would work a Return To Me mojo.

Peace~

Hello! I am not sure if this is the correct thread in which to post this question (pondering posting it in the mojo thread, instead) or if it is even a reasonable question to be asking. I carry a bag with me everywhere I go and it is most definitely alive. It swings around like crazy when I smoke it with resins. I love this bag and feed it every day with whatever oil it requests. The thing is, I open this bag sometimes and feed the roots and stones that are in it, as well. I add and subtract items from the bag according to what suits my current intentions. Although it does contain some items related to my marriage and love life, it is not a bag I am using to work my husband at all. It is my personal bag. What the heck do I call this little friend? I am coming to understand that mojo bags are never opened once complete and that nation sacks seem to be aimed at working a man. Am I just doing this all wrong? Sure feels right to me, but I am uncertain of what tradition, if any, I am following. Thanks in advance for replies and I apologize if this is in the wrong thread or if this question has already been asked and answered.

Hello TwoCrows,

Welcome to the Lucky Mojo forum. I moved your question over to this thread because you are asking about mojo bags, not nation sacks.

I'd say that if what you're doing is working for you, by all means continue doing it, but your bag can't be called a mojo bag in the traditional sense because you're opening it and closing it repeatedly. Untying a mojo bag and opening it constitutes "untying" the magic as well; once mojo bags are closed, they're closed.

For more information about mojo bags, check out this page:

Take care.

Sister Jean, I really appreciate your response to my inquiry and you moving my post to the correct thread. The thing is, I realized already that I am not actually working with a mojo bag or a nation sack! I just wondered what it might be called, but I guess that there might be no such traditional concept (in hoodoo) as a dynamic conjure bag. It seems like a pretty intuitively basic idea, but perhaps the knot magick itself is traditionally an intrinsically significant aspect of working with a bag. I would appreciate any further insight into my little philosophical dilemma here. LOL! Love my little friend, though. Thanks again!

Hello TwoCrows,

It certainly sounds like you have a kind of ally that is working well for you. In some native american traditions people keep a bag that has sacred things in it that offer assistance and sometimes these can be opened and worked with depending on what native tradition you are coming from. While I do not think that is exactly what you are doing it is similar in some ways.

Peace~

I made my lucky red clover mojo bag but I am not feeling any energy. I followed the instructions and breathed into the bag and tied it up. If I did not mess it up, can I assume my mojo bag is alive despite not feeling any energy?

Hello, pinksugarcandy ,

Sometimes, it takes a little bit of time because you just gave birth to the mojo hand.

It needs a little time to wake up, get used to things and then do what it was meant to do. That is one reason that you keep it close to your body and feed it often for the first week.

Sometimes you won't feel anything but it is still working.

Give it some time

take care

Hi Miss Aida,
I think i have written my petition paper wrongly. I wrote my name and my 3 wishes just below it. I did not write my 3 wishes 7 times and turn clockwise and cross my name over it 7 times. I did put my personal concerns inside. Will this affect the mojo bag?
