Hi TBanks91,

I've always found working out in a group to make things easier. Where I work we have an informal group that does boxing work outs and I run Insanity and Yoga groups - when everyone's agreed to go - it's also harder to back out. Conjure-wise, carrying a John the Conqueror root as a pocket piece has helped me get over procrastination and excuses. You have to start somewhere and when you begin, you may not be able to keep up with the group, that's OK - it isn't lame: it's motivation! Wearing a bit of Stop Gossip mixed with Crown of Success meanwhile will help you do better and them shut up about any back-biting comments they might have.

Hi alessandro25,

working with John the Conqueror and Nature products can help a lot, particularly coupled with Crown of Success. In addition, Lucky Mojo makes a Weight Loss Blessing mojo hand that many have used with success in cases like yours. On the forum, you may also want to look through the advice and tricks in the following threads:

I agree with Aura's suggestions. You may also want to do some king solomon wisdom work so that you realize that going to the gym is a good decision for your health. SO if it comes down to you thinking "ill just stay home on the couch or go to the gym" You will make the best decision and go to the gym.

But I would look at why you dont go to the gym as often...are you lazy...or do you feel judged. If you feel judged you may want some crucible of courage products too.

I always like to burn a road opener and a yellow candle dressed with yarrow, sun (for energy) and john the conqueror to help keep me motivated.
Thank u St. Martha for everything you have done on my behalf.
Thank u St. Elena! I appreciate your great help.
Thank you St. Peter for opening the gates&roads!

Hi TheLeo,

This thread has some great information for you and I'd suggest one of the Blessing Weight Loss mojo hands to help in your health goals and endeavours. A John the Conqueror root kept as a pocket piece is another good choice for helping with resolve and overcoming obstacles on the road to long-lasting health.

Spiritual Cleansing is also a good on a regular basis to ensure that negative attitudes, doubt, and old habits remain far away. A combination of 13-herb bath with a pinch of Cast Off Evil combined would work well in that respect. You could then follow up by oiling your feet and head with some Crown of Success and/or John the Conqueror oils.

Hi I am wanting to make my own Weight Loss Mojo bag. I've come up with the following but need a little help.
* Angelica root -- Female power/strength, and it wouldn't hurt that's my name. :-)
* White Clover flowers -- Protect from evil influences (chocolate cake-my weakness)
* Either:
Flax seed -- Mental powers
Sage: Wisdom/decision making
*Health -- Need some help with with this one. Suggestions?

Maybe some Cast off Evil and Blessing products.

I am consulting my dr. for general health issues as well as emotional issues. ;)

Thanks,
Angelica

I was vegetarian for 18 years and recently began eating meat again. I think it is important to listen to one's body. I lost about 15 lbs after I reintroduced a different (animal) protein into my diet. I still have about 15-20 lbs to get rid of to be where I would feel more confident. I just did the egg spell (thank you Miss Catherine!), but will also purchase the weight loss mojo and do what ConjureMan Ali and Miss Bri suggested. Best of luck to all of you! Remember that beauty comes from within, (but I completely understand about societal notions of physical beauty and how that can affect our own perceptions, which is why I would like to get rid of a few lbs.)
Love!

Recommendations for Healing and Health

Unread post by VintageVixen » Sun Nov 02, 2014 7:28 pm

Hi LM Family,

I was looking for recommendations for conjure work or spells to promote health, weight loss, and general beauty? I already have a novena going for St. Jude to improve my health, am planning on purchasing a MISC candle for healing (to restore my health) to be placed and prayed on the MISC altar, but looking for some extra "oomph".

Thank you!

Hi VintageVixen,

Egg cleansings and the Blessing Weight Loss mojo have worked well for many on the Forum when it comes to weight loss. Used in conjunction with dietary changes and regular exercise, they give a wonderful boost.

For general health and vitality, Nature and John the Conqueror are great product lines to look into. They're also good for the stamina and personal strength to follow through on any lifestyle modifications you choose to undertake.

Blessings and Success!

Egg spell

Unread post by Shantilly » Tue Nov 04, 2014 2:14 am

I am curious, I know you can use eggs in weight loss.
Do you think it's possible to transfer the weight to another person by doing the following?

Take the egg and write the name of the person you wish to transfer the weight to on it. Attach a personal concern using wax. And then roll the egg over the body visualising the weight moving from you to them. Either bury the trick in their garden or an area they frequent, or at crossroads (near them if possible).

Does this sound like it may work?

I have used a poppet before and it worked very well but I was just wondering whether this may work as well.

Thank you Aura. I did an egg cleansing last night, but i always feel like I didn't "do it right". I cleansed an egg, dragged downward over my body from head to toe, and visualized it sucking away my fat and disease. Then I cracked it open and put it down the toiled, along with sea salt and flushed the toilet. I also have an egg in water under my bed to keep for 9 days. Not sure if it did anything lol. Does this sound about right?

Hi VintageVixen,

in addition to Miss Aida's advice, consider a crossroads disposal for an egg cleansing to take off weight rather than the toilet disposal: it's usually works better. Ditto for the egg under your bed.

Blessings.

Shwayn123 ,

Hoodoo does not work that way where things reflect back or come back in the fashion you suggested. But a prayer indicating that you be cleansed and lose 60 lbs of body fat amen. Why make it hard when the simple request is all that is needed.

LM also has a weight loss mojo. http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatmojo.html

Self Image, Healthy Living & Weight Loss For a New Me

Unread post by Ruby74 » Wed May 20, 2015 6:54 pm

Hey Everyone,

I either need a kick in the butt or a time machine to go back to the body I had a year ago.

Over the last year & a half my diet has changed substantially & my lifestyle has undergone a major transformation from being physically active, outdoorsy & in shape to sedentary & bland. Long story short: I am out of work while dealing with personal issues & trying to conquer anxiety.

I’m 40, but some people think I’m late 20’s, which is flattering, but with the way things are going, I’m going to look haggard pretty soon. I have always taken care of myself until now. I've never been a smoker, no drugs, no alcohol. To have my body rebel against me & be a slave to anxiety is disheartening because most of this is my subconscious reacting to mental abuse I've been subjected to. I also had to have a hysterectomy last year but fortunately it was robotic so only three little scars that are fading & I still have my ovaries so no hormonal disturbance has taken place, but the surgery has left me depressed & curled up in the fetal position because of fertility/womanhood issues.

Since last summer I have moved up to a size 4. By no means do I believe I am huge, because I am not, but for my frame and the physical repercussions I am experiencing, this is way too much & technically I am overweight. I am 5ft. tall and was a size 0-2 up until last year. My current weight is too much pressure on my knees, sometimes they throb & other times I have shooting pains on the right one (especially with stairs). My diet has resulted in gallbladder sludge & occasional pain and I have developed a problem with sweating (my thyroid is fine & I have had every other test out there so it is either a result of my diet or another anxiety side effect because gallbladder aside I am healthy). I need to be revitalized.

Exercise and resuming my old eating habits are the obvious remedy and I would gladly do that if I could.

The main caveat is a pesky case of agoraphobia which holds me back from the outside world. I am working on the anxiety, but it is no easy feat for me right now and some days I can’t make myself leave the house for fear of interacting with people.

My second stumbling block is financial (I'm on social security disability right now). Last spring my G.I. doctor told me to start the FODMAP diet (because of IBS related to anxiety) & last fall my primary care doctor recommended the Paleo diet but neither of those diets are cheap. Initially I only planned to take a semester off school but I was wrong. I thought I’d go back to work after a few months off, but the root cause of my anxiety persists.

Gallstones & the possibility of a gallbladder attack aren't great but I honestly believe I can circumvent that by reclaiming control of my body. Thus far, I have opted not to have surgery because the big picture wont change - my lifestyle will remain the same until I find direction in my life and let go of the pain that has caused me to retreat into myself. I feel like ick and my self worth has taken a major hit. There are other issues I need to focus on, but the weight gain factors into everything. I hate being indoors but here I am afraid to go out. Having the discipline to get out in the fresh air & sunlight and succeeding at eating better on a budget of nothing would be such a victory for me and it would help me get the rest of my life in gear.

Bottom Line: It's only 10 pounds but it is soooo much more than that. We’re talking about physical appearance, self image, energy, confidence, discipline, overcoming bad habits & fears, and repairing my gallbladder before it attacks me. I’ve combed the forum for posts on weight loss & physical appearance & these are the highlights:
threedoves wrote:For weight loss + willpower, I like a combination of LM's Crown of Success and Crucible of Courage oils, to give me the strength and optimism to conquer cravings and remind myself it's in my best interest to behave. I put them on in the morning, and the lovely scent of the oils serves as an all-day reminder of my goals.
I don’t have cravings, my diet is only horrible because I eat cheap; pasta and potatoes have become the norm. I don’t do junk food, sweets or soda and I never have. I am not into breads either. My weakness is starches. Fortunately I gave up potatoes for lent & never looked back but I can’t afford fresh green veggies. Sorry for all the detail but I like to be thorough.

Would Crown of Success aid in my going out for a walk every morning? I only sleep 2-3 hours a night so getting up in the morning is not the problem. I try every morning at 6am but sometimes I get dressed & can’t force myself out the door.
Devi Spring wrote:You can use Cast Off Evil products to help you leave behind the bad habits and patterns.

Use some Crown of Success and John the Conqueror products to help keep your motivation high, and you moving forward on the right track.

If you wanted to do some Banishing work on specific foods that are particular triggers for you, you certainly could incorporate that if you feel strongly drawn to use that in your work.
Is there anything similar to Cast Off Evil? Or, is there anything with the potential to banish fears, i.e. fear of people?

Would Angelica have the same impact as John the Conqueror? What about Golden Seal & yarrow?
Literarylioness wrote:I would do the nude white figure candle with gentle herbs. I like sumac, allspice, marjoram, rosemary, althaea, and self-heal. These are herbs to heal the ideas she has about beauty. I would put some peaceful oil on the candle or healing oil.

I would work on her seeing her own beauty aside from others. She can also take honey baths with rose water to pick herself up and be sweeter.
I have most of those herbs but I cannot afford a figure candle, is that of utmost importance?
catherineyronwode wrote:Other self-image healing herbs for a woman would be Angelica and Dittany of Crete. For a man, Master Root, John the Conquer Root, Master of the Woods Herb. For anyone, Blessing Oil.
Good to know, but angelica is the only one that I have. Alternatives?
Mama Micki wrote:You could use Healing oil to help with any conditions that may be aging you.
Would I use this on a stand alone candle without any additional herbs? Can I use the oil in a bath?
NotDorianGray wrote:I strongly advise AGAINST doing any work to improve your physical beauty. I tried it when I was younger, and it backfired horribly. I got terrible acne, and got picked on a lot about my appearance as a result.
Eeek! I admit that vanity is part of my concern and working for such superficial gains is not very virtuous but improving my physical beauty is not my intention, I only want to maintain my looks and have a healthy body/body image. Losing weight is part of that but I consider this more of a lifestyle thing than a cosmetic one. The notion of backfiring spells never crossed my mind until I read this. Is it a real thing or is it a coincidence?

This weekend I am starting self love work on myself with a honey jar, a doll baby, and mojo. The physical body is different element but I want/need to start immediately as well.

I absolutely cannot afford a reading even though it would make things a lot clearer - it is not an option. Also, I can only work with what I currently have on hand.

Here is a list everything I have, some of it is obviously inappropriate for this situation but I am including it anyway.

althaea leaves, allspice berries, angelica root powder, balm of gilead buds, calamus root, cardamom seeds, catnip, cloves, cubeb berries, damiana leaves, deer’s tongue, dill seed, five finger grass, frankincense resin, gentian root, golden seal , hops flowers, lavender flowers, licorice root, marjoram leaves, myrrh, queen elizabeth root powder, rose buds, rosemary leaves, solomon’s seal root, white sage smudge, yarrow flowers, Blessing Oil, Come to Me Oil, Crown of Success Oil, Queen Elizabeth Oil, Road Opener Oil, St. Anthony oil, St. Martha Oil, Van Van Oil, Victory Oil

It would be fabulous if someone could point me in the right direction.

Sorry for being so long winded.

Thank you!

Ruby

Bath before Eggs Spell help

Unread post by Sophia Moon » Fri May 29, 2015 3:06 pm

Hello all. I read the Black Hen Weight Loss spell... http://www.luckymojo.com/spells/white/healthspells.html

I got my egg today. The person mentioned bathing with "pungent" herbs. I definitely have sage but what other "pungent" herbs should I use?

Thanks in advance.

Hello LM, What are some great products to use so I can master getting my body in shape? I'm currently working out and I really need some help with more determination to lose weight and gain muscle mass. Oh yeah I do know to use either Master products or Master Key but I am also looking into working with the Victory products also but I'm not sure if that is recommended or not for this problem/situation. :D

Dear imtempel,

Hoodoo is the folk magic of a culture that is not notably vegan.

If you enter this tradition, you can keep your vegan principles, but you cannot expect that 400 years of meat-eating root doctors will have prepared a vegan substitute for you on the off-chance that veganism would become a modestly popular lifestyle choice farther on down the road, long after their deaths.

I had a weight loss mojo and I lost it after a few weeks. I think this is reflective of my ambivalence about my weight.

I like the idea of using a white figural candle with Healing and Blessing oil and watching it melt down while praying for healthy weight loss. What about surrounding the figural candle with yellow chime candles dressed in Road Opener or red candles dressed in Blockbuster oil? I have so many psychological blocks to losing weight. I think part of me uses the weight as a way to keep people away. But I'm at the point where I just feel really uncomfortable and I'm risking serious health problems.

What else can I add to this spell?

Is it possible that Blockbuster was a bit too strong? I just threw up again out of the blue. It's probably just a normal medical reason and I plan to check in with the doc about it, but I was just curious if anyone thinks it is related.

Hello, littlewing ,

it could be related.

I thought about bolemia when you first posted. It could be the blockbuster spell, maybe it was a little harsh.

But happy you will be seeing a doctor about this

Let us know

take care

Thanks Aida. I'll lay off the weight loss spells for now and just focus on healing.

I lost 4 lbs in 2 days. Doctor doesn't know why i'm vomiting and now I have to go to the GI doctor.

Another spell gone awry. I wanted to lose weight but not by vomiting. I'm bad at this...

Hello, littlewing ,

You are our Aunt Clara from Bewitched!

You need to control your power a little. Maybe watch what you say and be more precise with your verbiage. Your commands and petitions ought to e written down a day or 2 in advance and then think them through while thinking about incorporating the purposeful omission of any type of repercussions. Verbiage such as: "Without harm to myself", etc.

In the meantime, take a 13 herb bath and get rid of whatever you did

I hope you're OK.

Please let us know

Thanks Aida. I sure am Aunt Clara!

I took a 13 herb bath on Thursday night. I'm still very nauseous, but I haven't vomited in a few days.

Thanks for your support, as always! I will be more specific with my petitions.
Thank you Saint Expedite, St. Joseph, and St. Jude

What would you suggest from the candle ministry for weight loss? I need help keeping to my diet and losing weight. I used the candle ministry before and it worked beautifully. Thank you

Hello Jennjenn,

I think there are a few different ways you could go, depending on why you think you've gained weight.

Is it from bad habits such as overeating and not exercising? If so, a Cast Off Evil candle would help you.

Is it from a lack of confidence in your ability to lose weight? If so, a Power or High John the Conqueror candle would help you.

Are you overeating out of a place of emotional pain? If so, a Healing candle would help you.

See what I mean? I'd recommend sitting down and really think about what you need help with, then picking a candle from there:

Take care.

Hello, larrykclark --

This is not an exercise forum, but, since you ask, i suggest daily walking or using an elliptical trainer, cutting out all sugar and sugar-water products; reducing fats, grains, meats, and milk products; and increasing the proportion of your caloric intake that comes from vegetables. Think of it not as "dieting" but as "refocussing" your food choices. In severe cases, bariatric surgery and abdominoplasty have worked very well for many people.

This forum is about African American folk magic. Start at page one of this thread and read through to fins a number of spells for weight loss. If you have any further questions, just ask.
