Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Is it permissible to remove the label from any dressed, glass encased candles I purchase (i.e.: Lavender Love, Fiery Wall, Follow Me Boy, or any dressed Vigil Candle at all) in order to be discreet? Please advise.

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello everyone, so I know that when finished with a candle you can bury it in your backyard. Well... what happens if you live in an apartment and have neither a front yard nor back yard? Also I would like to be discreet when disposing of remains. There are a lot of people around and dogs and children all the time.
Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello, blueeyes14 ,
Backyard or front yard depends on the type of spell
You can bury in a flower pot, and here are other ways of deployment or disposal:

I was wondering if I have any type of candles that haven't been lit or anything but there old but still magical is there a way I can dispose of them besides burying them? I live in a city so its hard without people seeing me.

After lighting my candle with intention and prayer, would putting on music that connects me on an emotional level with my target assist in inhansing the spell? Just curious.

I accidentally added too much oils on my vigil candle. The wick is still burning but if for some reason if it drowns in the wax and oils what should I do? Can anyone please offer me some suggestions?

Hello deladelasol77,
You could try waiting until the candle cools down and hardens again then use a chopstick to dig out some of the extra wax around the wick and see if that helps. If there is so much oil that it's a puddle, you could try twisting up a paper towel so you can put down into the vigil light and soak up some of the oil. It also would be a good idea for you to read Miss Cat's helpful book "The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic in Rootwork, Conjure and Spiritual Church Services.
http://www.luckymojo.com/artofhoodoocandlemagic.html
You'll also likely find some helpful information on this thread:

Good luck to you.

Hi I had a question about break up spell. Say If I open up the supplies to it and touch the candles and products but I dont do the spell yet right. Can it bring negatove effects on me without doing the spell. Would I have to cleanse myself?

How long generally do the fixed LM jar candles take to burn out? I know it's best to let them do one long burn, but I need to plan around time.

If someone is not interested in reading the wax remains of a jar or skull candle, would it be acceptable to pour out the wax in the 'well' of the candle or have it dry on the walls of the jar when it needs to be pinched out so that it can more easily burn down to the end of the wick?

Hello Shutter,
You can do that. Some practitioners will manipulate how the candle is burning in general to guarantee a good burn. I personally do not do a whole lot of manipulation to my figural candles unless they just are not burning at all but everyone's mileage may vary on this.
Peace~

There is a whole lesson on working with -- rather than reading -- candles in my book "The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic" and the book answers many more questions as well. I am not trying to push the book on you, but for $9.00, it contains a wealth of instructions and tips. You might like it!

I have your book, Miss Cat! It's been a while since I gave it a read though so perhaps I should brush up (if you only knew whatever customer number I am you'd know I get all my materials and books from you guys hahaha). I'm getting some professional rootwork done in a bit more than a week and the worker requested that I finish what I was working before we started the work that needed to happen next for my particular situation, blah blah long story short, I will need to reread in the midst of all the workings going on in my life right now! Thank you for the positive informative response

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Does Lucky Mojo sell (or, can anyone direct me to where) I can get a candle holder that will hold small, menorah/Hanukah candles? Per many episodes of the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour, I have bought a number of these candles to use and I love them. Currently, I place sand in a dish and stick the candle down in it. However, I really want a candle holder that is the appropriate size, without purchasing and (inappropriately!) using a menorah. Can anyone help?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello bloomandbone,
I believe the small, brass star-stamped candle holders that Lucky Mojo sells to fit its 4-inch altar candles would work for those. I actually just went and tested this on one of my own candle holders; you can squish together the prongs (probably not the right word) that hold the candle to fit a candle that's quite small.
You can find them here:
http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocattools.html#holders
Get the smaller size; it's 3/4 inch tall. You can also hold a match to the bottom of the candle to melt it a tiny bit so it will stick to the holder.
Hope that helps!

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hi all,
I had a reading yesterday with a rootworker and she suggested I do some candle work to help someone find courage and decrease their fear. I've done a lot of reading so far on writing a petition on paper but haven't seen anything about writing one on a candle and how to go about it. I'm not sure what info is needed or how to do it. Or would it be just a effective to write it on a piece of paper. If so, since it's for someone else do I still cross their name with mine? Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thanks !!!

Hello, decogirl73 ,
On a taper candle, uou could inscribe, in a spiral fashion from bottom to top (without any breaks in your cursing writing):
couragecouragecouragecouragecouragecouragecouragecouragecourage
(that would be Courage written 9 times)
Then, on a petition paper, you would write his name 9 times and cross it with Courage to Commit to _____ (<---your name)
Wishing you the best
take care

Hello Everyone
Planning a money spell and wanted a Wealthy Way Vigil Candle, Fixed.
There isn't one specifically for Wealthy Way but a Plain Glass Vigil, Fixed will be fine.
Would the Plain Gold/Green be appropriate?
Or Plain Green?
Thanks

Hello LDB1957,
I think that's a great idea to have the shop fix a plain vigil candle with the Wealthy Way oil. Green or green/gold would be good, whichever you prefer.
Good luck.

Hello,
I am new here, have searched the forum, but cannot find the information I need.
I am trying to save my child from an abusive, narcissistic, possibly sociopath ex-husband. I have tried everything imaginable, but it's at the point where praying for the best, without doing works, is getting me nowhere.
With that said, I'd like to dress a large candle with my ex's name, as well as judge, others involved in the case on 1 candle, rather than burning 7 candles.
Is this possible?
Thank you in advance

Hello MoreTisha,
I have merged your post into the thread on general candle questions. If you can please refrain from starting new topics as this makes it difficult for the moderators to keep the forums organized and difficult for other members to find the information they are looking for.
for how many names to carve on a candle ultimately you can carve as many as you can fit on the candle. Though from reading your post I personally would recommend a fiery wall of protection spell kit. (http://www.luckymojo.com/fierywallofprotection.html)
Peace~

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hi,
I just received my order from Lucky Mojo, and it was very tightly packed in the box, which is fine. Except, at least one of my candles had a crack around the width. it's only held together by the wick because the crack is all the way through. I'm assuming LM wouldn't pack a candle with this kind of crack.
I would like to know if I should still use the candle, or if the crack is interpreted as some sort of sign, and if so, a negative one?
Thanks

Hello Kabirdas,
You might give the shop a call and see if they will replace the candle. I personally tend to see things like this as signs of some sort of resistance or at the least that I have my work cut out for me. I would melt the wax down and make a new candle out of it myself.
Peace~

Hello Everyone
Just burned a Jinx Killer Glass Vigil Candle.
Good burn. very little wax left and only a little smoking at the top.
Very pleased.
I was wondering about the glitter added to the candle.
It looks pretty, but does it have any traditional, functional purpose?

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello,
I have a quick question about the Destruction vigil candle. I ordered it a few weeks ago, it finally arrived but I'm curious if it's a necessity that I light it in the bathroom as the candle says or if I can just light it in my room instead? I share a bathroom with two others is why I ask. Sorry to post this question here but I looked through the topics on the sub forums pages and couldn't find anything on this specific candle. Thank you!

Now you too can benefit from the malevolent secrets of cursing and crossing, passed down through the generations, and brought to your fingertips in one handy spell-packed book.
Miss Aida is a Catholic Spiritualist, a natural born medium, and a hoodoo practitioner with deep roots in the Afro-Cuban traditions, who specializes in cursing, break up spells, spiritual eradications, establishing magical protection, and helping animals. She is an administrator of the online Lucky Mojo Forum and a regular guest on the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Radio Show who lives in Detroit with three Schutzhunds and a Cockatiel.

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello,
Is it a bad thing to set lights in your bedroom? My bedroom is the only place I can do it without it being disturbed. I have heard that some think its not a good idea because it can interfere with your sleep. Is this true? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Hello, Sophie Zen ,
As long as it isn't a candle used for cursing, crossing, jinxing or other negative work. Then, it's OK
Can candle interfere with your sleep? It depends on the person. They have been known to induce psychic dreams
Wishing you the best

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
General question: how many candles should be burned at one time? What time of day or night is the best to do "work"? I'm burning a set of 4 right now and they're burning pretty good for the most part once they're done how long should I wait to burn a second set for the same person? How many in the set would need to burn clear in order for the "work" to "work"? Right now 3 of the 4 are clear and the 4th is struggling. Situation the for set is because a guy I know treats me disrespectful, gossips about me and humiliates me. So I put all of that back on him to make him remorseful. The second set is to sweeten him up to me.

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello, Newbygirl ,
You could stop and wait for 3 months to see if anything has manifested
Or you could work them until the behavior you seek is manifested.
Or after your initial work, you could work on them everyday, once a week, or once a month.
it's all up to you.
But if your last candle is giving you problems, you may want to work another one.
Here's the thread for you to read:

Ms. Aida
It was the reversible candle that is burning black. Should I get another one and burn it on its own because the other 3 are burning clear? What may be the outcome with 3 clear and the reversible black?

Hello Newbygirl,
Like Miss Aida said, you could wait and see with the reversing candle or burn another one immediately, it's up to you. But if you're feeling unsure, you may want to consult a reader. You can find reputable ones here:

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hi, I think this is the right place to write this..
What do you do with the petition and the 7 day candle glass when the candle has completely burned out? I have heard throwing into the crossroads is typically whats best to do with the remains but I wouldn't want to throw an entire piece of glass in the middle of the road.. it could hurt someone. So what do I do with it?
Also, I used the lucky mojo site or four altars site to burn some candles for me that I do not want burning in my home... I'm excited to see results! Does anyone have any experiences to share about having candles being burned for you?
Thank you!!!

Hi SpellsnSuch,
You could either keep the petition for use in future work toward the same goal, or burn it and disperse the ashes in a crossroads.
You can recycle the glass container once your candle has completed its burn.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
i think this is the right place to right this...
general questions about lucky mojo candles
I recently started to burn some 7 day vigil candles in my residence (protection and stay with me candles to be exact), i also have a few being burned by deacon millett at the four altars church (for two targets), and was wondering how long does it usually take to "know" if the candle spells have worked? like , when will i see the results?
can someone comment on how long (or how soon
) it took for them to have results from the 7 day candles? i would love to hear about others' complete experiences working with 7 day vigil candles.

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Hello, SpellsnSuch ,
That is completely up to the Spirits working with you and the Spirits around him
Look for signs in 3 days, movement in 3 weeks, manifestation in 3 months
If absolutely nothing happens in 3 months, perform more spells
However, Deacon Millett will give you a candle report telling you if there are positive or negative symbols
take care

Re: Lucky Mojo Candles: General Questions and Answers
Can anyone tell me about Monkey on yer back? I seen this candle on four altars page but have not found anything Monkey on yer back on Lm.
Also I don't know where to post this question but I've been trying to email deacon millett and have seen two different emails for him, both @fouraltars though. Can anyone tell me the correct one please? One says .org and the other .com

Hello Lmuser05,
If this is a Four Altars candle you're asking about, you won't find information about it here. You are correct in assuming that you need to contact Deacon Millett about it. The email that I show for him on his AIRR page is deaconmillett@fouraltars.com.
Take care.
