Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
Just wanted to give a shout out to Miss cat and the LM site moderators for setting a two new records on the past two Mondays for people visiting site. Surely that speaks to the benefits LM product users find on the boards and to the really timely, insightful and helpful responses to the questions. Just had to send along congratulations - you guys are great! (The counts are listed on the bottom of the forum index for anyone else who is intrigued w/ tracking numbers.)
Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
that's so interesting! And very good to know. I have found this site to be a tremendous treasury of advice and wisdom.
Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
We are shifting the Lucky Mojo Forum to its own server on Sunday night, at 11pm Pacific Time, and it may be down as long as 2 hours, so if you notice that we're offline for that period of time you'll understand why! Thanks for your patience!

How very true! Well, we can only hope that they came, read, learned, and enjoyed themselves. I'm hoping that for every 50-100 users on the forums there are a few strong repeat customers/students that make this place home.
Here's to 3000 more!

P.S. - Great interview on New World Witchery. It seemed much more relaxed than some of the podcasts that have had you on in the past! A very informative listen as always, and GREAT news that LMCC Radio Hour is coming back this month. It has been too long...and happens to hit on the month my wife and I are coming in (Zydeco Festival in Sebastopol first) to sign up for the course! What a month!

I know what you jmean about the New World Witchery blogtalk radio interview -- Corey Hutcheson is just a nice, relaxed, well-informed person, so he asked great questions and gave me a nice showcase to ramble on.
Re: The Cajun Zydeco Festival in Sebastopol, Californbia -- that's a neat event -- enjoy!!! And it will be nice to get y'all signed up as students, of course.
I am looking forward to the new radio show season with my usual combination of relaxed excitement and butterflies in the stomach.

Charles and i loved making these. Although each of them is credited to one of us, we both worked on each other's bags, and had a fun time doing so. I hope to see him again this May and we will make a couple more then, if we have time. I am also taking commissions on custom bags of this type, as i have quite an accumulation of antique doctors' bags, nurse's bags, and leather make-up cases ("train cases") that i can fill with a mix of vintage and new products.

What would be the best way to contact you about a commission for one of these wonderful things? I plan on scheduling a reading with you soon, would it be appropriate to discuss it then or would you prefer I contact you through other means?catherineyronwode wrote:Charles and i loved making these. I love both of these! I also love the descriptions, they both read like a story.
The vintage items like the silver "goblet" make them extra special.

Turnsteel, i'd be glad to talk about making a "bespoke" bag for you after our reading, if i have extra time. I usually schedule a short "bumper" slot between readings, but if you ask to be "the last reading of the day" when you make your appointment, then i will be sure to have more time, as there will be no calls after yours, and we can spend more time on the phone.

With a credit card!
Seriously, call the shop. If you want either of these bags, they are ready to go. If they have sold by the time you call, you can request a custom bag and i will probably need to talk to you about what you have in mind and the size of bag and price range that suits you. Make an appointment for us to talk; i am booked with readings a large part of each day.

I may like to have one put together for me in the future. I have most of the contents I currently use already, but the bags themselves are amazing to me. It's something to think about in the near future... Right now my extra funds are being funneled into our "farm fund" and any extra from that is going to the Lucky Mojo Workshop Weekend in May! Hooray!

The pictures posted on the newsletter are AMAZING. These are breathtaking pieces of practical art.
On the Solomonic bag, what is in the white Lucky Mojo box on the top right?
Picture: http://www.luckymojo.com/vintage-solomonic-bag-1.html
Is that boxed Lucky Spirit Incense or something else?

That box is the interior container for all of the herb and root packets. The green-labelled box holds the 4" candles. By the way, that bag has been sold, but if you wish me to construct a similar one for you, as a custom project, i would be very glad to do so.

Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
These bags are simply amazing! I remember my partner and I found a black antique doctor's bag at an antique mall near our home, and though it was way more than we could afford at the time, we spent a long time looking inside it and touching the handle. It just gave off the most amazing feeling of care and comfort, so different from an impersonal visit to the local primary care collective of today. :p The bag was sold when we went back, but we still think about it.
I would love to have a bespoke bag done up for me. I'll have to save up my money and think about what needs are best for me, and for the work I do for my friends. Thank you so much, miss cat, for creating such an incredible item, and for providing so much of your wisdom in these sites. I've found this site and store to be an amazing resource in my studies, trying to resurrect the Appalachian magic I learned as a child. I've lurked for ages, but I saw these bags and I knew I had to sign up and comment!
Can't wait to see what the next one looks like!

Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
These bags are worthwhile investments for both traveling root doctors and people interested in works of art. The effort that goes into them is simply stunning. I ordered mine and had it customized by Miss cat (who knew what type of work I do so was able to make sure the bag had the products I'd need) and the lovely Angela.
I got the bag today and took it with me to a clients house that I was cleansing. I loved having the bag with me--I really felt like I was channeling the traveling root doctors of old. It not only had everything I needed, but is put together so well that even my client was fascinated by it
I love my bag and highly recommend it to others. It's simply beautiful.
Thank you Miss cat! I shall treasure my root doctor's bag!

The new labels for Follow Me Girl, Jinx, Jinx-Killer, and Jezebel products are terrific! I especially like the Jinx & Jinx-Killer labels-- fantastic!

Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
Lucky Mojo Internet Technology Departmental News Updates a.k.a. Ernie's Friday Roundup!
We've been going great guns for some time now sprucing up the Lucky Mojo website. Hundreds of new products have been added. And, our most recent endeavor has been the addition of new images for our complete lines of Catholic related products... Oils, Sachet Powders, Incense Powders and Baths. Our aim is to keep our website the most extensive and informative of it's kind on the internet! With such a huge inventory of items, it's a challenge just to keep everything updated and clear... easy for our customers to use. Suggestions cheerfully accepted!

Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
I think this website is so intelligently designed and user friendly! Thank you for making it really easy to navigate. There are a few products that I would like to see more detail written about. For example, there are some product lines that include powders, oils, incense, bath salts that don't have a description. Being fairly inexperienced, those descriptions really help me when I'm making an order.
Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
If you're fleshing out Catholic products, may I suggest adding some photos for the Holy Medals and other jewelry? I purchased a St. Michael the Archangel ceramic oval pendant sight-unseen in my order a couple weeks ago, just hoping for the best, and it is really lovely . . . so it's a shame that people might be hesitant to order such things for the lack of a photo.
(I have worked in e-commerce for years, though, so I do understand if LM doesn't move enough of these for them to top the list of priorities.)

We are 250 miles from that fire. Thanks for asking. Here is a map. We are at point A. The fire is at point B:

Re: News From the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Shop
Hey Fellow Conjurers, this has been an interesting week of new additions to our LM website. We're engaged in a long term project aimed at updating all our product info with new pictures and expanded informational links for all of our products.
Our recently completed "Mojocat" project made sure that all of our available products are actually listed on our website catalog. With the thousands of products that Lucky Mojo caries keeping the catalog current is no mean feat! Remember, if you have problems with our site, or notice areas of potential improvement, you can bring these issues to my attention by emailing me at ernie@luckymojo.com. I welcome your input and look forward to working with you to make your Lucky Mojo experience a better one!
Love to all,
Ernie
