Re: General Money and Business Spells Questions and Answers

Hi Miss Athena. Thanks for getting back to me last week regarding this. I did as suggested - got some paper money, spent some, used some for the spell. Weirdly, each day I've ended up coming into cash and having something to use. Unfortunately, tonight (night 4 of 7) I lit my candle and incense, did...

Re: General Money and Business Spells Questions and Answers

Hi! Just received my Money Stay With Me Spell Kit and I have a question regarding the execution of the spell. The spell relies heavily on “cash in hand”. I generally don’t carry cash and I can tell you that I have very few paper bills in the house. There are quite a few jars/bowls of change but not ...

Re: General Honey / Sugar / Sweet Jar Questions and Answers

Hi JD and thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. I see some conflicts in the advice you’re providing versus what I received from Miss Athena - specifically, she suggests that burying is deployment, not disposal as you suggest above. I believe that the issue is word usage and I bel...

Re: General Honey / Sugar / Sweet Jar Questions and Answers

Thank you, Miss Athena. This helps define things much better for me. I do recognize that there’s variation and flexibility in how an individual practitioner might address their work but the general “rules” of how to manage the energy produced/directed by the spell is my biggest concern as I realize ...

Re: General Honey / Sugar / Sweet Jar Questions and Answers

Miss Athena, Thank you for the clear and concise answer. Even though I did read through the entirety of the Laying Down Tricks and Disposing of Ritual Remains chapter of Hoodoo in Theory and Practice, and I read through a number of disposal posts on the forum, I obviously was still confused by the t...

Disposal - still not sure what to do

I’d like to dispose (not deploy) a honey jar. I’ve read through every post I could find on the subject, including miss cat’s article here: http://www.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html but I’m still confused by what to do. A honey jar is full of sticky goo and it’s a glass jar. Do I separate the conten...

Re: Travel While Spell-Casting / Moving Away from Buried Spell

Beautiful! This is all do-able and I feel better about having to leave the jar behind. Thank you for the help.

Re: Skull Candle Questions and Answers

Thank you so much j82. I’ll extend my burn time but still do a 15 minute focus each day. I feel like I just started hitting my stride with the candle in terms of talking to it and having some impact, but I do want to get it finished up before I leave. I appreciate your help!

Re: Travel While Spell-Casting / Moving Away from Buried Spell

Thanks for the response, j82! I’ll be flying and hadn’t considered the issue of bringing food into the country but it totally makes sense. So, let’s say that I can’t take it with me - what would you suggest? Is it still “working” if I’m not tending to it? I do shake it and talk to it lovingly at eve...

Re: Travel While Spell-Casting / Moving Away from Buried Spell

Quick honey jar question. I've been working a honey jar for a week, burning a candle daily, and am moving to a Mon/Wed/Fri candle burning tomorrow. Unexpectedly, I'll be traveling soon and for about a month. I won't have any opportunity to procure more personal concerns of my target until December s...

Re: Skull Candle Questions and Answers

I'm hoping for some clarification on how to "finish" a skull candle. I cleaned and dressed my candle last week, named it and created a petition/photo paper. I've been burning the candle and concentrating my petition on the flame for 15 minutes each night and then snuffing the flame out. After 7 days...

Re: Spell Timing: Moon Phases, Moon Signs, Moon Void of Course

While I feel a certain kinship with the idea of working spells during certain phases of the moon, waiting for a waxing or waning moon doesn’t always work for what I want to accomplish. What’s the conventional wisdom of this in hoodoo?

Thank you for all advice. Best!

Re: Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers

I’ve tried searching the forum for an answer to this but have had no luck. Apologies if it’s been asked and answered. I’m about to start a hex and I’m unsure of whether it’s appropriate to have both a petition paper and a photo/name paper at the same time. Is there such a thing as a petition paper w...
