Re: Pow Wows, Or, The Long Lost Friend

Manly Wade Wellman wrote a number of short fantasy stories (Silver John) that involve Appalachian culture and the Long Lost Friend. They're pulpy but worth checking out.

I usually download the show as a Podcast from iTunes. Is it updated regularly?

Re: Mojo Bag, Conjure Hand, Toby, Gree-Gree Questions & Answers

Stacy, Thanks for the encouraging post. Your explanation makes sense and will help when it comes time to assemble my mojo hand. I'm the type of person who learns by doing. I pay attention to what others do and say, but I've found that participation has been a fine teacher. Do petition papers and per...

Re: General Spell Kits Information Questions and Answers

I'm new too. I've decided to do a bit of both. I bought my wife a Boss Fix spell kit. Took advice from members of LM forums and ordered a Saint candle for an issue addressed here. I used that advice, and information I picked up from the Radio Show, and bought a different candle for another scenario....

Re: Mojo Bag, Conjure Hand, Toby, Gree-Gree Questions & Answers

Hello, After browsing through 'Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic' I decided to order supplies to make a mojo hand. I found the entry about attracting benevolent spirit helpers intriguing so I added a White Flannel Mojo Bag, Althaea Leaf, Angelica Root and Psychic Vision Oil to my Lucky Mojo order. I cook I...

Re: Spell Timing: Moon Phases, Moon Signs, Moon Void of Course

It's my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong, that you want to do spells for effect, just after the new moon - while in the waxing phase. That way the spell gains momentum.

Re: A woman with a broken will

Thanks again. I'll come up with a plan (based on the advice from this thread) and share it prior to ordering supplies. Cat's book is scheduled to arrive today, so that'll be another resource to consult. Appreciate the advice.

Regards,
Bryan

Re: A woman with a broken will

Thanks waterlily. Your suggestion about having my mom visit makes a lot of sense, however, she won't travel long distances and refuses to drive on highways. If I want to see her, we have to cross the State to visit. I'll look into the above suggestions regarding petitioning saints. It's a complicate...

Re: A woman with a broken will

Devi, Thank you for the informative response. My primary concern, regarding implementation, is that any work I do will have to be secret and performed from a distance. She is very closed minded about alternative belief systems, and I would say she's a Total Christian Television believer. In other wo...

Spells to Bless Heal Protect Parents Grandparents Elders

I wrote the following, as part of my autobiography (telling my own story is important) about a year ago. Unemployment was good to me. I got to work on things that I needed to start doing (gym, learning to cook, spending quality time with my child, etc.). After about six months I was hired into a non...
