Thanks for your feedback, I used black dog hair and only had white and gray cat hair. I am confident that it will do it's job. However in the future since I know now where to get the black hair I will order some to have on hand.

I had read somewhere that you can improvise basically and nothing has to be strict. So I had made the judgement to use cat and dog hair of a different color with the same intent. I had done the jar as I needed it ASAP. Will that ruin it? Do I need to do another?
