Newby29 --

Do not have any more contact with this woman. She sounds like a scammer.

Get some 13-herb bath to cleanse yourself from any negativity both from outside sources and from within yourself, then work on strengthening your relationship. There are many love products to choose from. Love Herbs Mixture, Chupparosa (Hummingbird), Love Me, and Follow Me Boy are just a few. Let us know what you need.

Does anyone know of a legitimate Houngan or Mambo? The same goes with Santeria and Palo Mayombe. Thanks.

This is a forum for Lucky Mojo customers and is about traditional hoodoo, which originated with African-American Christians.

There are some members of AIRR who practice the traditions you mention: www.readersandrootworkers.org

Rootworker stated he needed to make love to me?

Unread post by rsalako » Thu Jan 31, 2013 4:39 pm

Hi,

I have been seeing a rootworker from Haiti and he is truly amazing, I had booked a hotel so he would be able to give me a FULL cleanse and he has been able to pinpoint a lot of things that have going on my life, I could say he has helped me to open my eyes tremendously.

The only thing that scared me and made me extremely uncomfortable was after I had taken the shower I had seen he was sitting on the bed naked and had stated along the lines of "if you want me to block the demons and spirits in your life, would you want me make love to you!"

I nearly ran for my life, but he stated this was common in Haiti and for him to become a part of me so spirits could leave me alone.

I did not have intercourse with him, but it does make me ask --

1) Do things like this happen in hoodoo for real or was this simply for his own benefit?

2) I would like to know if I should really part ways and find another rootworker.

Thanks so much

rsalako,

Wow. I am really sorry that you had to experience such a thing.

I would encourage you to part ways and work with a Rootworker with a Code of Ethics such as a member of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers.

rsalako--

1. This is sex abuse. It is not common in hoodoo.

However, i want you to note that you say this man was a Voodoo worker from Haiti. You need to be aware that just because the words hoodoo and Voodoo rhyme, they are not the same, or even much related.

Voodoo is an African religion that is also practiced in Haiti. It has a pantheon of deities called lwa.

Hoodoo is an old Gaelic Scottish word (for a ghost) that got applied to African American folk magic in the 19th century. Hoodoo is also known as conjure, root work, helping yourself, and tricking. It is practiced by Christians, primarily. It is not a religion.

Sex abuse is something that exists among many people who place themselves in authority over others -- parents, step-parents, priests, pastors, rabbis, gurus, professors, teachers, scout leaders, sports coaches, and others who have authority over the young or the vulnerable are the most likely to commit the kind of sex abuse that this man attempted on you.

Some sexual predators have stated on the record that they sought out certain types of jobs or careers so that they could use their authority as a "cover" when committing sex abuse of this type. Others say that just found themselves tempted by the fact that younger or more vulnerable people looked up to them, and they became corrupted by their power until they finally became sex predators.

2) Get away from this sex abuser as fast as you can -- and if you have evidence of what transpired, turn him in to the police!

Remember, you had the courage and will-power to refuse him, but what if you had been a little younger or a little weaker? He is a predator! HE NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE!

Papa Newt gave you a good link -- be sure to read it.

Here is Part One of a Three-Part selection of the scam-spam posts sent by a team of frauds who are attempting to lure in people for rip-offs. The names change constantly. We have to clean these posts out of our forum on a regular basis.

Note:

1) The writer(s) have English as a second language, but the fake-names that are supposedly giving testimonials usually sound like Anglo-Saxon names and in some cases are said to arise in the UK.

2) "Great spell-caster" or "powerful spell-caster" and "I didn't believe" are recurrent phrases.

3) Sometimes different fake names of testimonial-givers appear on identical testimonials.

4) Sometimes the fake-name in the header does not match the fake-name in the body of the testimonial.

5) Sometimes what appears to be a file-name for the testimonial appears at the beginning or end of the fake testimonial because someone forgot to delete it.

6) The "priest" or "doctor" can be contacted via a throw-away email account only (no web site) --and i wish the companies that hosted these throw-away accounts would be held accountable for the misery they are facilitating.

7) Some identical posts appear several times a day in our feed; i have deleted four identical posts from the following selections.

My name is Rosie Michigan from USA. My husband left me due to some
reasons on 24th of MAY 2011, I was such a bad girl on that day, I
accept, I blamed myself a lot of times for that but I really love him
enough that I felt like killing myself just after every thought of him,
frustrated, devastated. I can say I was dead cause the experience was as
much as that of HELL... Just few days after that he throw my stuffs out
of the house and moved in with another woman his co worker at work.., I
felt like killing myself. I've tried different spell casters and went to
different temples to pray but all to no avail. My life was very bitter
and sorrowful. Then one day, a very good friend of mine told me about a
prophet that is very good, I didn't believe at first, cause I have tried
a lot before but she shared her experience with me and cried, I felt for
her too but mine was killing also. I remember she will always Whisper
"dr.magukwuo the DOER of all things"... She said anything and everything
you bring to him is done!!! Immediately I didn't know what came over me,
there was this force in me I became so interested and we talked about
it, she gave me more testimonies about her friend and said he gave him
some lucky numbers that he played in a lottery and he won.. I contacted
him and I gave him the necessary information. He didn't ask for anything
but he said after the spell works, I can pay anything in appreciation
and then I asked for the contacts of this Prophet Daniel, contacted him,
I was surprised, he knew what I was going through like I told him and
then he asked for some necessary requirements like pictures and the date
you last saw and other stuffs and then he gave me some spells which I
could use and I used them and BEHOLD the next 2 days which was on the
17th of DEC, 2011 I received a call and it was my darling husband
Michigan. He apologized and came back to me. He even gave me a romantic
gown and a diner with him alone, and was even begging me!!! Wow... That
was my best yuletide season ever. I'm now a very a happy woman. Thank
you dr magukwuo I will forever be grateful to you. You can reach him on
his email:dr.magukwuospellhomegmai l.com He can solve any, any problem.
Try him today and thank you...Be wise! I have told some of my friends
about him too and there are frauds around also, BE CAREFUL! Contact him
today....!.

My Reader says I am "Marked By Demons"

Unread post by jolee » Thu Sep 12, 2013 11:53 am

I have a lady i've been going to for over two years for spell work.

I haven't met her in person, but my friend sends messages back and forth for us and the spells always manifest within a few days, but not this time.

I got some spells from her to bring my ex back to me and break up her and her boyfriend. They were a love spell, sex spell, faithfulness spell, and mind control spell. All "6 days black and white cast". Sadly it didn't work, but it has always worked in the past.

She did a deep meditation to talk to the spirits that she sent to help me. She said they told her that I've been marked by the "mark of demons" so they've turned on me and now they are seeking revenge by helping the other guy (my ex's current boyfriend) to "destroy me".

She also told me not to practice other religions because the spirits get really jealous.

She says now she has to invite them over and offer them food for 49 days so they will forget me and leave me alone. She says this is so she can send them to some one else (because if they have no where else to go, they will keep coming back).

Has this ever happened to anyone else???

I feel really lost and confused.

Jolee,

You have had a troubled relationship to this fake reader for two years by your own account and have posted a number of times on this same subject in a variety of threads and sub-forums here, for almost a year and a half.

In May 2012 you were saying that your former spell-caster gave you powerful "sex slave" spells and called you a "psychic vampire" and told you to "meditate to develop [your] abilities, which are mindreading, seduction, and mind control." You also mentioned that when your Buddhist family "prays or performs Buddhist rituals at home, it would always interfere with [your] spells."

In May 2012 you also posted in the love area about this "6 day black and white casting" and wanted our advice, but never took it.

Also, that same month, in another thread in the same love spell area, you wrote, "I used to have some one cast very powerful spells for me ... [but] ... I'm no longer in contact with the spell caster."

In August 2013 i had to send you a board warning and remove one post of yours because you were posting trash-talk about the Freemasons and "the mark of demons" -- as fed to you by your "spell caster."

In September 2013 you asked if the symbol of the All-Seeing Eye -- used in European occultism and in Freemasonry and by the United States currency mint as a symbol of God -- was a "mark of demons" because "a lady who was casting spells for me told me that she sent some spirits to help me with my situation but they turned on me and told her that I am 'marked by the mark of demons'"

Now, in your immediately-above post, also from September, 2013, you want to know why your love spells are not working and you tell us again that this "spell caster" has told you that you are "marked by demons" and that she now has to "offer [the spirits who turned on you] food for 49 days so they will forget [you] and leave [you] alone" while she prepares to "send them to some one else."

Jolee, you are the victim of fraudulent reader abuse. All this stuff about "sex slave" spells and being a "psychic vampire" with "mindreading abilities" and the spirits who "turned on you" and the "mark of demons" is a pack of lies that you were told by a fake, criminal, abusive, inauthentic, fantasy-spouting scam artist.

I am merging this latest thread of yours into the scammers thread, but, please, WAKE UP and get over this. Yes, it feels bad to have been taken in by a well-known and obviously fake fantasy-mongering fear-script when you were most vulnerable due to a love relationship break-up -- but face it, you got scammed.

You show no evidence of being a customer of my shop or a client of any member of the two ethical groups we endorse -- Hoodoo Psychics or the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers -- so there is not much more we can do for you here except for tell you again:

1) See a reputable reader or rootworker and leave the fakes behind. Please.

2) The Freemasons are not evil or "demonic," the symbol of the All-Seeing Eye is not a "mark of demons," you are not surrounded by "spirits who have turned on you," you are not a "psychic vampire" with "mindreading abilities," and you have not been "marked by demons."

3) This forum is here for the benefit of my shop's clients and we cannot and will not repeatedly comment on your fake scammer's crap about "the mark of demons" and all the bullshit that was used to scare the piss out of you. We deal in down-home, old-school, authentic Southern USA Christian African American hoodoo rootwork -- take it or leave it.

Here is our latest "great spell caster" scammer at the forum -- swiftly caught and outed by Miss Aida, and proudly banned by yours truly:

mrmorgan » Sat Sep 14, 2013 12:09 am

After being in relationship with my ex for seven years, he left me, i did everything possible to bring him back back but all was in vain. I wanted him back because of the love I have for him, I begged him and did everything I could do, made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and he suggested that I should rather mail a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believe in spells, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, that was around 4:00pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and surprised, i told him to come and see me the next and and surprisingly, I saw him early in the morning the next day. Since then I have made a promise that everybody I know will never have a relationship problem that I will refer them to the spell caster to help them. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email is (xxxxx at xxx dot com) you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything.he also does all other kinds of spells, money rituals, curing varius diseases.. i swear on my life, it is so guaranteed.

What do you do if you have had two different readings and all three had some truths to it but at the same time they revealed different predictions? In both I was told that my ex has commitment issues and has been unfaithful, this I already knew. The difference was that one psychic said I should get far away from him because in January or February of this year he would give me a std then get me and another woman pregnant. In my second reading none of that was said and I was told that although he cheated he loves me and will eventually be mine and that I should not worry just let him be for now. He did not mention anything else. Now I am so worried about what will happen! The same question was asked to both when I called them both. Why were different predictions given and which should I believe? They both were right abt his infidelity and knew without me mentioning that. I am confused and starting to think its best to leave well enough alone and not try to foresee the future. Someone can I have your thoughts on this. Can online psychics (800#) be trusted???

Newby29, there are so many reasons that you could have received different answers for the same question. One reason could be that one or both of these readers aren't actually gifted. They might have different ways of interpreting the information they received in their readings. Both of their interpretations could be true, this person might love you, might come back, and might also give you an STD. A reading isn't a guarantee, it is a picture of where the energy of your life is currently headed. This will change as you make changes.

This is part of the problem of getting three readings in a row from three different readers. I would suggest that you get one reading, from one vetted reader, and see how their predictions manifest. If it doesn't work out, then try out a different reader.

And yes, some 800# psychics are great and some aren't. Better to go with someone you know know as been through a testing process, like AIRR members or readers on Hoodoo Psychics.

Best of luck!

I'm too afraid of what another reading may reveal. I guess sometimes it's best not to know. The readings were days apart so like you said it's possible one decision could have changed it's course but psychics may have been right! I will continue with my work and just see what happens. I have an anxiety disorder and those readings did not help at all!! Lol! I thank you so much Miss Phoenix for your input!

Hello, Newbie29,
Miss Phoenix is absolutely right.
I try to encourage my clients not to get too many readings consecutively. Unless it's just a quick answer about something else.
I was taught a long time ago (back in the dinosaur ages....LOL) that your spirits will get upset if you keep asking the same questions. They will get "bored" with you and start giving vague answers.
I see that myself when I have a client that asks too many questions and I have to keep laying out spreads. The Spirit of MY Tarot actually get bored with me too and start giving me their own "Snippy and snide" little remarks!!!
So, please take Miss Phoenix's advice to heart. She knows what she's talking about.
Wishing you the best

Is this a scam or genuine?

Unread post by kaboodle » Mon Mar 03, 2014 11:33 am

I came across the site while looking for love spells [URL of a so-called "Love Psychic" firmly deleted --cat]

Has anyone heard of her or used her services with any results?

Is she a scam or genuine?

Please advice as I'm thinking of using her services, because $325.00 is quite steep if no results are guaranteed. :!:

kaboodle,

First, the term "love psychic" does not refer to rootwork. A psychic is a seer or diviner, a reader, a fortune teller. So this person advertises as a prophet, but not as a conjure doctor, root worker, hoodoo practitioner, or spell-caster.

Second, We do not allow this site to be used as a place to review unknown people. This is not proper, as there are unethical people who go from forum to forum trashing the reputations of other workers, simply in order to draw business away from their many enemies and competitors. Likewise, there are people who go to these forums and post fake testimonials for themselves, telling how good they are, but doing so under a fake name.

All of that fake stuff is useless information, and it doesn't matter whether it is positive or negative, it cannot easily be distinguished from real experiences, so we will not permit it to clutter up our site here.

Next, please read through this entire thread. You will see many of the typical warning signs that people look for when they wish to avoid being scammed.

Also, before you sent $325.00 to ANYONE, i want you to read this long web page at Hoodoo in Theory and Practice" about how to tell a good reader or rootworker from a scammer:

Readers, Rootworkers, and Black Gypsies
http://luckymojo.com/blackgypsies.html

Instead, we long ago made the decision to recommend readers and rootworkers who belong to one or both of two groups that have published ethical standards of work: Hoodoo Psychics hosts rootworkers. It is a for-profit company owned and operated by Deacon Millett, and has a good reputation. The Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers is a committee of a Missionary Independent Spiritual Churches, and is operated as a volunteer-run organization that is not for profit; each member is an independent person, but there is a volunteer Ombudsman or mediator who will assist clients who have any difficulties with any member of AIRR.

Here are the URLs for these organizations:

Hoodoo Psychics
http://hoodoopsychics.com

Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers (AIRR)

Good luck!

A big way to save on rootwork is to get a consultation where you pay for the rootworker to advise you what spell to do yourself. This usually costs between $50 and $100 and you should get the recommended work along with detailed instructions on how to do to the work and the items you will need to get. Then maybe pay the worker to do an inexpensive light setting spell for you ($25 to $100) to backup your work. Very effective in my opinion.

I have been reading a lot of forums online lately where people go to discuss workers and readers and their experience with them. Most of the unhappy clients seem to be in one of two categories. Either they are wanting a reconciliation spell and numerous workers have turned down their work and now they're paying someone an outrageous amount of money for nothing or they are using multiple workers which usually sabotages the spell, in my opinion.

My regular day job is teaching all things crime prevention and I am very aware of all the scams out there. Psychic/Spellcaster scams, real estate scams, telephone scams, lottery scams, charity scams, sweetheart scams....the list is a mile long. Get to know a worker by paying them for a small service and see what happens. If you get results and you still need help, pay them for a larger service.

Hi all - we are currently in New York City, and here's a current events news item that has even made it to TV news. This is a good example of the frauds discussed above. A lot of this is COMMON SENSE. Do not give $45,000 to ANYONE unless it's legitimate, you have a written contract and confirmed identification, and get a receipt. I just have to laugh -- waited 30 minutes for the money to be returned...

Last week, I had 3 or 4 different clients tell me that they were scammed by someone on the internet also who just took hundreds upon hundreds of dollars from each of them. I have a feeling it was the same person...
I went to one of the websites given to me and it was practically bare. BUT these people promise INSTANT results.
Very sad. Makes my heart break and my blood boil

It pisses me off. I mean, I feel bad for the victims, don't get me wrong. But, I feel even more bad that readers and rootworkers all get tagged with the "scammer" label because of these folks. :x

Hello, Everybody,
I have had an influx of clients, from around the country, who have been scammed by the Black Gypsies.
Some of these people are highly educated folks, some have prestigious positions in society, and the rest are also very intelligent people.
From what the clients are telling me:
The prevalent "theme" is that the scams involve telling the clients that they have either: a dark cloud on them; that they're born with a curse; that someone placed a curse on them; or there's a curse on the entire family.
The victims are very scared. They are afraid that if they don't continue to pay, the scammer will put a curse on them.
The reality is that it's just not going to happen: if a paying spell didn't work, what makes one think that a curse would?
The other consideration for not reporting these people to the police is because of the embarrassment. But, police officers are very aware of the fact that these scammers have made a lifelong career using this con. They are experts!
They use subliminal suggestions that your ears don't quite pick up on (but your brain does); they use key words and phrases that cause shock and fear which causes us a sense of detachment from reality (<---and that's when they move in for the "kill" (i.e.: the money)).
I just recently had a client who was a victim of a pigeon drop. Thousands upon thousands of dollars was sent to one of them (under the "guise" of the money needed to be spiritually cleansed and returned.......but was never returned).
If you are a victim, PLEASE notify the police. Don't be embarrassed. You're not the first and you certainly won't be the last. You are amongst thousands upon thousands of victims. Speaking out& getting them caught in their games will save others. Your experiences will help the police to easier catch them in their con games.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, PLEASE read this page. By doing so, YOU ARE INFORMED and YOU may help a friend or a relative one day.
http://www.luckymojo.com/blackgypsies.html
Thank you to Miss cat for this very valuable and informative webpage.

Police: Voodoo priest had sex with two women, assaulted underage girl

by Zach Dennis, Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
12:13 p.m Monday, July 6, 2015 Palm Beach County Crime

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/crime ... pnTn26YjI/

"A voodoo priest from Sunrise [Florida] has been arrested after he used his position to have sex with multiple women, and assaulted an underage girl, by telling them that he would cure their cursed and 'bad spirits' by being cleansed, police say. According to NBC Miami, Brogenet Cinor was arrested on June 19 after police said that he was having sex with multiple women by claiming he would help 'cleanse' them. He was also charged with sexual battery of a child under 12, according to police."

The article includes a photo of Brogenet Cinor and lots more information.

Am I being scammed? I hired "_____" (<---someone not associated with AIRR, Hoodoo Psychics, MISC) to perform a love spell for me on August 15th. She keeps giving me updates, but I haven't seen results. I asked to see pictures, but she said that it would ruin the process. Is she hiding that she is not doing any work? How long does it take to see results?
When hired her, I read good things about her in another forum.

Hello, LuckyLady1040 ,

I have edited your post because we don't give proper names o the forum.

But, this is difficult to suggest whether she is (or is not) legitimate.

Spells don't work overnight. Spells are not guaranteed to work.

I personally do not send pictures of spells in progress (but that's just me). I show pictures of the preparation and the end results of the spell (candle wax symbols, etc).

But, the actual progress of the end work? That is very difficult to predict. You can get an idea with a reading but that's the best that can happen.

Patience is also needed.

Please read this page that Miss cat wrote about spells: www.luckymojo.com/spells/real.html

If you have read the pages on Black Gypsies (see the post I had written above), you can get an idea of whether or not you have been associated with an illegitimate person.

But, if the only concern is that the spell didn't manifest is not a cause to suspect being scammed.

I pray that all works out for you

Take care

Hello, stillsosola,

I have edited out his name because we don't share people's names.

And just to make it clear to the forum family members, this man is not associated with AIRR, Hoodoo Psychics or Lucky Mojo.

That price is ridiculously outrageous. Sounds like a the so-called Gypsy candle scam to me

Spells for the Return of Lost, Misplaced, or Stolen Items

Unread post by shelly123 » Fri Nov 13, 2015 3:02 pm

Hello

I need some help, I met a holy man the read my face and hands. he was able to to tell me many things.

long story short, he said I needed cleansing because someone had jinxed me, he purged something out of me. I held a one pop can opener and drank the contents inside, my hand started to burn. That made me trust that he would be able to help.

He insisted that I need to buy more equipment for my shop to gain a certain amount of money and then close it because the store was opened while I was under a hex so my business would be bad for as long as I have. HE told that he would do a money blessing for me to help the shop. I explained to him that the store was fairly new, IN OTHER WORDS I HAD NO MONEY TO DO ANYTHING. He gave holy water prayed for to me to try an get the money from anywhere, and anybody. he didn't care, he said I should keep trying because in his prayer everything will work out, and that his teacher in India told him so as well.

I lied on a credit application manage to sum 12k. I met with him he did the blessing in my vehicle while closing my eyes he told to put the money covered in dough on top of my head and say God Help Me. he told he put all the contents a bag, and not to open the bag until November 10-11. I was told to go by a river through things he gave to take away bad energy and say bad luck go way.

I did all that he instructed, he told me to use river water and bathe in it. He was adamant about not opening the bag until after 30 days, during that time I am to light incense and burn a candle two per day.

On the day I opened the bag I was devastated to see paper in replaced of the 12k. he took my money ran off and with no trace, no number to call. :( :|

Hello, Rowhite,

Welcome to the forum

This is a classic so-called Gypsy Scam. I have had clients taken for hundreds of thousands of dollars: Military people; even police officers; CEOs, and the list goes on and on.

Please read this page: http://luckymojo.com/blackgypsies.html

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the police station and report this with all the details that you have.

I am so very very sorry that this happened to you too.

Take care

shrimp tale, how sad that all this happened to you. I don't think you will be able to get your money back by normal means without any contact info -- but you could have some Compelling lights set to force him to show up and pay up.

If you want to set Compelling lights at home, you can surround it with smaller candles carved with names like "Police," "Justice System," etc. Dress those with oils and powders like Power, Court Case, and Compelling.

Good luck,

Miss Michaele

Hello, shrimp tale,

Aside from the great spell advice, you MUST make a police report.

Good Luck

Hello, shrimp tale ,

I you were talking about getting a reading with an AIRR member, please note that some are in Europe and in various time zones and some do readings by email, which does not require time coordination. You can find AIRR members at the AIRR web site.

Also, if you do not contact the police about the non-AIRR reader and worker who scammed you, that is very sad. You will at least have a phone number, web site, email address, Facebook identity -- some method of contact -- and you sent him money by some means -- mail, Paypal, direct bacnk deposit. This is the sort of information to give to the police.

We can't force you to call them. We can't tell you what they will and will not say or ask. But, your actions and your magic must complement each other. Your spells will be stronger if you act accordingly.

Now, let's stop discussing this topic here.

You have our recommendations and we hope that you will follow both our spell work advice and advice on what to do to help yourself

take care

It's sad reading all these stories of being scammed. It makes my blood boil to know that there are scum out there who will take advantage of people's suffering to make a quick buck. I was scammed myself a little over a month ago.

I found a "psychic" by looking on the Internet. I chose this one because she had good reviews and I thought that it was a good sign, so I called her. I told her my story and she said that my target still thought positive thoughts about me, but there was some negative in there too. She then said she could help me get my target back to me and fix everything. I naively believed everything she said because I was so desperate.

She texted me the next day saying she had seen the sign that the target was my soul mate, blah blah, and that she was going to her church to set candles and pray. She said my target would tell me something good about our relationship on the 16th of December, so I waited patiently for that. Well as you can imagine, that day came and went with nothing. So later on we talked on the phone again and she said that she had set some "special" candles for me and that I needed 9 of these same candles, which would cost almost $1000. I stupidly payed her this amount and guess what? The candles never arrived to my house!

Before that, she also said I was surrounded by evil spirits which were causing the lack of communication between me and my target. She said she had cleared the negativity but it would have nowhere to go, so we needed to buy a tabernacle to encase the evil spirits in. This was going to be $3200. I said I don't have that kind of money and I can't pay it. She said I could try to get a loan from my bank and she also asked if I had a credit card. I said no and she said her idea was that she would pay for the tabernacle and use my credit card info to, and I shit you not, "buy Christmas gifts."

We continued to text back and forth and I said there's no way I can get the money. She said she'd continue to set candles at the church because she was convinced she could get me and my target together. Well needless to say she stopped responding to my texts and I'm not with my target. Even worse is that I was scammed for over $1000 and it could have been a lot worse.

Avoid these assholes at all cost!

Hi TheDark,

Wow, what a story! I am sorry to hear you got scammed, but you are right in that it could have been a lot worse. These people have no shame, and prey on the needs and desires of others who simply want help.

It never hurts to remind folks here about Miss Cat's wonderful page on "black Gypsies" and other scam artists.

Hopefully your story can be another cautionary tale to help others avoid the same snares. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Gee, TheDark, that is just terrible.

Thanks, Athena for posting the link to the Black Gypsies page and the old candle scam.

Here is another page, courtesy of AIRR, that explains a specifically modern type kind of scam -- the "imaginary spells scam" in which criminally-minded fake psychics and fake rootworkers post stolen photo images and pretend they are pictures are of their own altars, where they will be working for you:

Hello, We14 ,

That is totally outrageous and she wants to scam you even more

A salt bath for $1,500? Seriously? You ought to call the police on her

Please read this page: www.luckymojo.com/blackgypsies.html

That black cat was a lucky guess. You know what happens? They tell you something mundane like this and you look for it. There are black cats almost everywhere. Black cats cross my path about 3 times a week (and personally, I think it is good luck for me).

You can find reputable rootworkers here: http://readersandrootworkers.org

PLEASE don't give the con artist another penny

Take care

Don't know who to trust // Advise needed please!

Unread post by juicy21 » Sun Jul 17, 2016 3:11 am

Hello,

I just came across this site.

My husband and I recently went to the psychic with a friend. We went there with the intention of having a tarot reading for our friend. Once the tarot reading was done, the psychic pointed out to my husband and without even doing a reading she said that he is cursed since the age of 11 by his father side's family.

The dilemma I am having is whether or not to trust her. About 90%-95% of what she said about my husband was absolutely correct. These are things that no one would ever know unless we spoke about it to someone. She never asked for my husband's name or date of birth. (She did not even know that I am my SO's wife until the next time we came to see her.)

She said that it would cost a couple hundred dollars for a cleansing, but she did not force my SO to come back to remove the curse.

We came back a week later and asked for a discount or payment plan due to our financial situation. After agreeing on the cost and payment and a couple of sessions of meditations, she said she would need the rest of the money within a few days.

A few days went by, and she upped the price and repeatedly told us that she needed the money first and that she was not willing to put her money down to purchase the items required for cleansing.

The reason why we did not want to give her all the money up front is because we don't know if we can trust her.

She also said at first it would take 2 weeks to be fully cleansed and that my SO would feel "different."

Now, after only 3-4 days, she says that if we are able to pay her the remaining balance she will remove the curse and cleanse him asap.

I trusted her up until she started talking about money continuously. Now I am just confused, especially since a lot of what she said was the truth.

1. Is there anyone that can advise on whether or not to continue with this?

2. Do psychics put fear in a person about curses, evil spirits, etc? The psychic is not putting fear into us, but definitely is repeating things about curses, etc.

Thanks!

juicy21 --

This is a scam psychic. You are being giving the hustle.

She is probably genuinely psychic, because, as you said, she told you thing about your husband that no one would know. However, not every genuine psychic is an honest person or a good person. There are genuinely talented artists who spend their lives as forgers. There are genuinely talented athletes who take drugs or throw games to benefit book-makers.

2. No, psychics as a general rule do not so this. Only scam psychics do.

Please read these two web pages. They will explain a lot to you:

Hi Catherine,

Thank you! Sorry about the late reply, I'm still learning my way around on lucky mojo.

I'm very new to psychics, spirits, spells, etc. Is only a psychic able to help in this situation? And do you have any suggestions on how to find a local psychic to confirm if there is a curse and for cleansing if necessary? I'm sure a lot of genuine psychics do not want to be known to the public.

I clicked on "meet the associates" on readersandrootworkers.org and it shows 404 not found.

Hello juicy21,

I am sorry you had to experience the scam psychic. If you go to this link it should work for you.

http://www.readersandrootworkers.org/wi ... es_of_AIRR

These are the readers and workers this forum recommends because they are associated with Lucky Mojo Curio Company, they have all agreed to a Code of ethics you can find on their site, and they even offer an Ombudsmen service in case there is a dispute. As Miss Cat said, that reader was definatly giving you a scam. I am glad you did not give that person all your money upfront.

Peace~

Ripoff Spell Caster Fooled Me

Unread post by KateWilson5 » Thu Dec 22, 2016 10:55 pm

I just want to warn folks that there are ripoff psychics and spell-casters out there. I gave a woman in England more than a thousand bucks and I don't even know why. I never met her, saw her, or talked to her, I was so desparate to get help that I just sent her money. She took her websie down after I paid her. She also ripped off a friend of mine who I recommended her to.

Since then I have had good readings and rootwork consultations. I am now trying to learn how to cast spells for myself.

Impotency spell was cast on me

Unread post by JaySean » Fri Jan 27, 2017 7:37 am

Hi all,

Having doubt on the psychic I am seeing is probably not a good thing, but I haven't dealt with magic before and in Oct-Nov last year, I went to a psychic who is helping me with the problem of impotency, dribbling urination and all the negative emotion following a break up with a girl friend I got attached to and then left due to my impotency and due to my job. I was hoping experienced members could tell me if these events make sense :

1. She first told me she will find out if she can solve my problem. For this I did a ritual: bought an orange and a banana, kept them under my mattress. The next morning I had a strong boner. As per her instructions, I wrapped it in an old shirt, and took it to work (leaving it in the car). The day after that I took it to her. She said some prayers and eventually the after the banana and orange were in the cloth, she make the banana pierce the orange and asked me to stamp on it (all still wrapped up after being taken out breifly). When we opened the cloth after the piercing, the inside of the orange had a solid stone like object which had a face of some sort, eyes, nose and a mouth.

2. She had some tea bags, which I drank, some oils I bathed in before making a red penis shaped candle from the size I provided on a piece of paper.

3. She made a red penis shaped candle from the size I mentioned in a piece of paper, and this cost me a fortune. In next few days we lit it. The candle took some days to burn out, which I didn't see for myself though. She showed me the burnt candle, and the wick of the candle had carved out the number 8. She said that meant my problem would be solved in 8 days, 8 weeks or 8 months. Now from Nov 23 which is when we lit the candle, 8 weeks are over. And yesterday she said it would take 8 months (July 23, 2017).

4. She gave me some crystals and asked me to put them under my pillow at night. I have these crystals and use them.

5. I met her yesterday, and she said that based on information she had gathered about the girl friend of mine, the magic done against me and affecting my thoughts also had to do with the girl as well. And that she was also facing physical, emotional and financial problems. She said she would have to light a vagina shaped candle for my soulmate. She gave me some tea bags to drink for purification and said that will solve the problem. She also said July, 2017 is like a deadline for it to get solved and the problem could be solved even before that.

6. Thing is I don't know what to tell my girl friend, she doesn't know all this is happening and probably doesn't believe in this stuff. I took a leap going to the psychic and paying for this because everything had failed in the 2-3 years I tried to solve this. I am feeling lost now, because I am still having impotency and urinary dribbling and difficulty. Though at times I feel the problem has become less.

7. Are things going okay? Is this how all this works? Mainly could experienced members also say if the timeline of events matches a problem that will get solved. At one side, I feel like I am bouncing around and shelling out cash and on the other side, I feel like I have no other option because everything else had failed before. I feel worried and a bit lost.

JaySean,

The Lucky Mojo Forum is a place to come for information about African American hoodoo folk magic, but your situation is not uncommon, and so i will reply to it based on my 50-plus years as a reader, herbalist, rootworker, and a client of readers.

1. When a reader or rootworker produces a solid object, a spot of blood, a hair, or a mess of black ink out of an egg or a fruit, he or she is practicing sleight of hand or parlour magic: Beware. And while there definitely are spells that will mess up a man's libido, urogenital tract, and sexual functioning, you show me no evidence that such was done to you. All i can read here is that you believe the words of a scam artist. So i would get a more legitimate reading if i were you. Curses that mess up a man's nature do exist, but they are not the only case of such problems.

2. There are indeed certain herbal teas which are supportive of urgogenital healt and effective in the treatment of male urogenital issues, but without the names of which herb teas you were given, i cannot comment further.

3. A candle -- even one that was hand-made or hand-prepared -- should not "cost a fortune," but the amount of money that constitutes a "fortune" varies from client to client, obviously. In my experience, a hand-prepared or hand-made penis candle with 8 days of altar service should not cost more than $100.00. A simpler hand-dressed and prayed over glass-encased vigil candle can be set for $20.00 in my church.

4. There are indeed mineral crystals reputed to have a beneficial effect on male urogenital problems, but without the names of the specific minerals you were given, i cannot judge the work of this reader for authenticity. Rather than having you list the crystals you were given, i advise you to look up the wonderful little book "Crystal Magic" by Jon Saint Germain, which contains a list of hundreds of crystals and their magical uses. It costs only $9.00. Read more about it here: http://luckymojo.com/crystalmagic.html

5. This is the so-called "Gypsy candle scam" that originated among Roma ("Gypsy") readers in the late 19th century and has since become common among Latino, Caucasian, Afro-Caribbean, and African American scam artists. The candle scammer sets one candle for you and soon tells you that, due to urgent and unforeseen conditions, a second -- or third, or fourth -- candle must be set at once or all the work previously done will be for nought.

Read more about the difference between legitimate readers and candle scam artists on this FREE page at my online book "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice":

Readers, Rootworkers, and Black Gypsies://luckymojo.com/blackgypsies.html

Read about the casting of "imaginary spells" (another common form of scam) here at the AIRR web site:

Fake Psychics: http://www.readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/Fake_Psychics

6. Erectile dysfunction and and urinary dribbling are medical issues and you should immediately see a competent and licensed medical doctor whose specialty is urology. Do this without delay.

7. Only after you have walked away from the candle scammer, received a competent medical diagnosis and a treatment plan which you are following, and gotten a legitimate reading that indicates that there is indeed a curse on your nature, then it is time to consider spiritual assistance and support.

Start by reading Psalms 45, which is FREE.

Then post your prayers at the FREE Crystal Silence League web page, located here: http://crystalsilenceleague.org

If you wish to do your own rootwork these are the Lucky Mojo products i would recommend. They are available in the form of hand-made oils, incense, candles, sachet powders, and bath crystals:

John the Conqueror: http://luckymojo.com/johntheconqueror.html

Healing: http://luckymojo.com/healing.html

Nature: http://luckymojo.com/nature.html

Power: http://luckymojo.com/power.html

We can make up the four oils mentioned above into a custom blend for you. This is called a Rootworkers and Churches Special, and the cost is significantly less per ounce than if you bought the same quantity in small bottles and blended it yourself. Read more about our custom-blended belnded oils before you order.

Rootworkers and Churches 4 oz. Specials: http://luckymojo.com/oilblends.html

In addition, we make a very nice herbally-scented personal massage oil for men called Lucky Swastoka Penis Oil that you may find of value.

OIL-SPE-LSPO
Lucky Swastika Penis Oil (Personal Massage Oil) 4 oz.
$14.00

You can order right here in the Forum by clicking on the blue Add To Cart button.

If you wish to work with a root doctor who specializes in men's issues, i will recommend my good friend Professor Charles Porterfield of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers. Read about him and book his services here:

http://www.readersandrootworkers.org/in ... orterfield

This quote from his AIRR page explains much: "I am a natural man, a husband, father, and grandfather whose specialty is helping men, directly or through their loved ones, with all manner of needs, regardless of age, race, or sexual orientation. I can, and will, put the rooster back in the yard. "

And he means it!

Good luck!

Is she legit?

Unread post by Megs369 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 11:04 am

Hi everyone,
Im looking for some guidance! I have recently visited a psychic for a tarot reading & it has revealed a huge curse on me. Apparently this curse has released 3 evil spirits that attacked her & the priest in the church while they were attempting to investigate this for me. These spirits tried to take their lives that night & are currently locked in the church. Ive been told the woman who did this to me has buried $3000 in a cemetery and i now need to give the psychic $6000 to bury in a cemetery to end this. The priest doesn't seem concerened to see me and im not to be involved in the ritual. I want to believe but i have red flags for forking over that kind of $$$. -- is this legit????
I appreciate all of your opinions in helping me with this matter.
Cheers
