Shaking bottle for money drawing - does this look ok?

Unread post by roguedeer » Wed Jul 20, 2011 12:03 pm

I'm interested in making a shaking bottle to keep on my altar and shake/pray over daily, for the purpose of drawing money.

I think I will fill it with the following.

coins and dollar bills
a petition paper with my name and $$money$$ crossing it
coin charms
lodestone sachet powder
cinnamon
thyme
basil
allspice
clove oil
cinnamon oil
florida water
vitamin e oil

I'm also going to decorate the outside of the bottle.

Does this look ok to everyone? Does anything seem extraneous, or like it doesn't belong? Is anything missing? Thanks in advance.

Hi roguedeer,

if you're asking about your contents, I'm going to guess that this is probably one of your first bottle spells for money (also given your last thread concerning the money vigil candle you wanted to burn and how best to dress it). I would therefore suggest that you begin by using one of LM's fixed bottle spells which already has all the right materials in all the right proportions, right down to the instructions on how to use it (Prosperity Bottle Spell - $15.00 - BTS-HOX-PROS).

In this forum I've seen conjure compared to cooking a number of times and its a parrallel I adore. Many different combinations can work, but there's more than ingredients to good cooking. It's also about timing, dosage, subtle interactions of multiple flavours and the heart and soul poured into it ;)

I'd also suggest that you get a copy of Miss Cat's book on Hodoo Herb and Root Magic so that you can look up each of the ingredients you want to use in your conjure work and see if they're aligned with your intention (http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodooherbmagic.html) as well as benefit from the hundreds of traditional spells that have been compiled there.

Hi.

roguedeer wrote:lodestone sachet powder

Putting Sachet Powders into a liquid is generally not a good idea, its like mixing flour and water, just makes a mess. You could do it, but it looks ugly and to me a bottle spell for money should be nice to look at. To that end I know a few people that add gold and green glitter to a money bottle, or even better, actual gold leaf.

roguedeer wrote:clove oil

It may be easier (and safer, cinnamon oil can really irritate the skin) to add a conjure oil rather then mucking about with essential oils. Wealthy Way, Attraction and Money Drawing are all very much in line with your purpose, and are prepared and prayed over to draw wealth to you.

The vitamin e oil has no place nor purpose here.

Wow. Awesome and very helpful responses, both of you! Thanks so much. The cooking analogy makes perfect sense - and yes, you spotted me as a very new "cook"! I have never done a bottle spell, only candle magic. The fixed bottle spell sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Thank you!

Actual gold leaf is a cool idea. I should get some for a future spell. I was obviously confused about vitamin E - I thought it was necessary to keep the herbs from molding.

Vitamin E is added to oil blends as a preservative to extend the oil's shelf life. It doesn't have anything to do with loose herbs.

I love using gold leaf in my work! It adds a dramatic sparkle while bringing a very powerful and rich spirit to the work.

Actually, I remember this spell being posted on here a while ago. The methodology does draw roots from old style conjures. There are many return to me type spells that employ writing a person's name in different ways. Some write last name, first, some write the name as if they were walking backwards (not mirror writing)and presumably in your life and others still write your first name and their last, joining the two together.

While those methods are found in conjure the spell this poster refers to was a mix of a sweetener conjure and these old written conjures. The addition being that the bottle was buried in the backyard. Which many people do to keep a person close to home. All rather standard ways of working, I think the poster simple presented it in a slightly confused fashion.

Ok - the way you say it makes way more sense, ConjureMan. Thanks for that! I can see the symbolism of walking their name back to you. :)

This Is such a great idea. I actually printed out two separate wallet size pictures of the couple I am trying to break up and wrote their names on the back with my petition and rolled each up small to put into the break up oil bottle. Them shook vigorously while stating what I wanted. Great idea.

Would it be okay to add your own LM oils and whole roots or root powder to a bottle spell that is already fixed by LM?

Sure, if you wanted. Or you could buy the UNfixed bottle spell and add what you want all on your own. We make them both ways, and the UNfixed is cheaper than the fixed.

Potted plant dies, what to do with ritual remains?

Unread post by msg33 » Tue Sep 13, 2011 8:53 am

Hypothetically speaking, what should one do if they buried the ritual remains in a potted plant but then the plant dies? Can the person take out the ritual remains and still use it again but this time, pray over it and then bury it in their yard? Or do they have to redo the spell?

I would get some consultation regarding the matter of if you should redo the spell. I would get a 10 minute reading to see if you need to put some more energy towards your work. The plant dying may be an indication of something, which we cannot tell you here on the forum. So you should get a reading regarding the manner.

You know my feeling on this is that the ritual needs to be completely redone and here is why. Typically if you are burying something in a potted plant around your house its because you want to keep the god stuff going and keep it close by. In the cases of bottle and container spells especially they are continuing to work even once buried. Allowing the plant to die indicates that on some level you weren't really invested in the work from the beginning--I mean, would you work your butt off on a honey jar and then bury it underneath some fussy high-needs plant? No! You would not. You would bury it under something hardy like a fern and if your hardy plant dies it probably (9 times out of 10 lets be honest :-) out of neglect. So the ritual work has been neglected as well. In cases like this I would say its time to reboot and start over again. And of course, you can get a reading on the situation as well--but unless there were extraordinary circumstance surrounding the plant's death I would say--start it up again!
Blessings,

Thanks for the answers

This is a hypothetical situation, as I haven't done anything yet but just to play it safe in case something happens.
So, what should one do with the ritual remains then? crossroad ritual?

Hypothetical spells never work, so there is nothing for you to learn from such.
If you have waited a decent amount of time (1-6 months) without any results and your plant died you put it in a compost to become fertilizer for new and more successful spells. The spell work of this sort ends with the disposal in the pot.

Bottle/Container Spells -- get creative

Unread post by LMFan » Mon Sep 26, 2011 8:12 am

Hello All--

I have recently found I seem to have great success with any kind of spell in a container- after years of trying different things, candle burning, spell kits, for some reason I think I found my niche. Anyway, my question is-- what kinds of things can I do with container spells? I would like to experiment , any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You can pretty much do most anything in a container spell - draw, banish, cross, bless, heal. Remember mojos are containers, as are bottles. :)

Hi LMFan,

Miss Cat's on-line book ''Hoodoo in Theory and Practice'' (HITAP) has a lot of excellent information on bottle/container spells that can get you started. The pages certainly go through the diversity of works that can be considered:

If doing a money-drawing shaking bottle, is it advisable to put your own personal concerns into the container, or is this done more if you're working on other people?

Hi roguedeer,

definitely you can put your own personal concerns into the container - hair and nail clippings are good alternatives for this kind of conjure.

Best of luck.

Hello All,
I need some clarity on this. Correct me if im wrong. Lets say I have an almost empty bottle of LM Attraction Oil can I just put a petition in it and shake it to cast a spell without burning any candles and will this be on going as long as I keep shaking it and interacting with it?

Personal concern for a bottle spell

Unread post by ImReady2012 » Wed Oct 19, 2011 5:44 pm

What is the best way to lift some saliva off of a stamp, that you know your party licked; if you want to use it for 3 seperate vinegar jars?

Should i dissolve it in something or just cut it in 3 pieces?
I am very strong in all of my endeavors and eager to learn. Thanks Luky Mojo!

Hi cookies,

you can cut the stamp in three pieces and put one in each vinegar jar. If you can get a photo of the target from their face-book page or other social media network, print out three copies and add that alongside their name and DOB.

Thank you Aura,

Yes I have pictures, internet and real pics! Is it better to use the print outs rather than the real photos?

Also do I put their full name and DOB on the back of the picture or just use parchment paper? And I write their name nine times, correct?

Hi cookies,

I'd use the real pictures (they're becoming a rarity!) rather than the printouts although magickally, there's no real difference to my knowledge: although more experienced members may be able to give you more accurate information. I like the stronger cardstock and old time photo process pictures as they can take more punishment than most printouts - but again - that's personal.

I write a petition paper separately from the photo, but if you have a printout or photo, you could cut a square or triangle of the photo area and write your petition on the back and that's fine too. You can read about other workers who do that here: writing-a-petition-on-a-photo-t14990.html

As to the writing the name of your target 9 times, that's one way to work. I'd also write a petition cursing said person in manner you desire over their name.

Consider reading through the following thread on vinegar jars, most of the possible questions you could have should be answered there. It's a long read, but well worth it for the information that is avalable there: vinegar-jar-questions-and-answers-t5581.html

Blessings.

Yes you can use photos printed off the computer.

I wouldn't use black salt like that personally - I would go with a Break Up bottle, using Break Up products, and vinegar or lemon to sour the two.

Placement of bottle

Unread post by Angelina » Wed Nov 02, 2011 2:27 pm

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question....I am planning to work a bottle spell for the reconciliation of 2 people. One person lives with me, and one does not. Should I make two bottles this way I can hide one in the other home and keep one with me or would just one bottle be good enough?

Thanks and blessings.

I think I'll use this to make a small spell with a left over esssential oil bottle...I'm making 3 honey jars with an order I put in, so I think I'll set pack a very small pinch of what I put in it and use the corresponding empty scent bottle to match the honey jars, that way they can be carried in person or inbetween mattress'! Thanks so much (again) for this idea.

Sugar water in Love Me Bottle Spell to create Shaking Bottle

Unread post by Victoria03 » Sun Nov 06, 2011 12:54 pm

I just finished my Love Me bottle spell, was thinking about making it into a shaking bottle spell. The only thing I have is Sugar water, honey, and several types of oils (Love Me, van van) etc. Would Sugar water be good in this since i don't have any Florida water or hoyts cologne?

Also, i plan to bury it in my back yard but I live in an apartment, so would i just use the back yard of the building? Or is it better to get a potted plant for my back balcony once i am ready to bury it?

Thanks again!

You can add sugar to make it a shaking bottle, I wouldn't add water...and bury in a potted plant since you live in an apartment. If you want your target's love to stay with you, bury in the back, if you want to draw your target's love to you, bury in the front.

DOING A BOTTLE SPELL FOR AN ILLNESS.

Unread post by woodrat » Tue Dec 06, 2011 6:10 pm

Hello beautiful people. I just wanted to let everyone know that my bottle spell for my boyfriend and I is actually going very well. But I have a much more dire situation. I am not sure if it can be done with roots/hoodoo, but I just wanted to ask for some advice. My stepfather is sick with prostate cancer for the second time. He's been ill for awhile. He has been going from medicine to medicine. He started chemo back in the summer but you can only do that for so long. It worked and then his PSA count didn't budge anymore. Well MD Anderson has him on the pills again, and so far he has been through 3 different trials, none of them are working. The tumor is vicious. I love my dad dearly, but he is back on chemo again, and this time, its taking effect. The first time he did it he had so much energy. The chemo made his very happy. Now he is gagging in the morning, he has to walk with a cane and everything. I really want to do a bottle spell to help my father get better. I really do want his cancer gone. I lost my biological father back in 2003 when I was 17 years old. I grew up with my stepdad. I know we all have to die sometime but I am not trying to lose him any time soon. Has anyone had any luck with healing an illness through spells? Please, I want this cancer gone.

You can work with spell craft alongside of proper medical treatment to facilitate healing and comfort for those who are ill. However, I would not recommend that you work with a bottle spell here-I would recommend some vigil candles for healing & also for banishing the tumors. I would also recommend a mojo hand-something he can wear on his physical person to encourage health, strength, and vigor in the face of this draining disease. There are also AIRR workers who are proficient at long distance healing through the use of doll babies, altar work, and prayers-so you may want to check that out for some added oomph!

Thank you, but he doesn't know that I am doing this. I've contacted a caster from the association of rootworkers but I've gotten no response at all. So I'm looking for someone else. So I can't give him a mojo. No one in my family knows I am doing this. So I'm trying to help his healing in secret. It's very difficult being in a family that believes in pure Christianity and I never really have. But I'm just so tired of hearing my dad gag to the point to where he is almost throwing up. I'm tired of him being in pain. I want him well.

Then I would craft a doll baby of him, and surround it with the same healing herbs and curios that you would have put into a mojo. You can also work directly on it by channeling prayer energy into it, praying over it, or laying on hands, etc. If it's made from wax you can even bathe it.

And of course, add him to the healing prayer list at the Crystal Silence League, which is free, and will have a whole network of people praying for him right away.

I had ordered a fixed break up bottle a couple months ago which I did as directed and added some vinegar to it. A little vinegar was seeping at the top after I shook it but it eventually sealed itself and I keep it behind the toilet on the floor in a spare room and shake it to keep it going. On Tuesday when I shook it, which I also have it wrapped in a dark towel and have the lights off most of the time, I noticed there seems to be a break in the glass at the bottom. Not sure if due to the vinegar and nails hitting it when shaken. Not sure if I should consider it a sign.

Trying to find a way to bury it on targets property or I have the ocean close by.
Any thoughts?
Thank you

Bottle Spell question

Unread post by GotAlot2Learn » Sun Dec 18, 2011 6:22 pm

I received my prosperity bottle spell early last week, it come with herbs and curios in ot already. But I added a piece of my hair and a pic of me, on the back of my pic I wrote bring me prosperity 9 times crossed by my first and last name 9 times. Anointed the pic and my hair with Attraction oil , than tried to put it in the bottle, but didn't fit so I had to cut the pic so that it fit in the bottle. Problem is, after I already cut the pic and got it in the bottle I realized that I cut through and cut up my words on the back of my pic. Smh! And I have a bad feeling that I've totally messed this spell up. Should I just remove the pic? Or what?

Also I shook the bottle, anointed the green candle with prosperity oil, than sat in the gold candle holder from LM on top of bottle with my pic under the bottle, and read the 23rd psalm. Any suggestions or comments?

You might want to have a read of this about disposing of ritual remains: http://www.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html and see if it can give you a better idea of what to do if you decide to get rid of the bottle. As for it being broken, you might take that as a sign about the work in the same way that a broken vigil candle would be interpreted as giving an indication about the work http://www.luckymojo.com/candlemagicdivination.html. I hope this helps.

Would this be good to put in a Witch Bottle? Three pins, needles and nails, kosher salt, rosemary and red wine or vinegar to symbolize the blood of Christ. I know that last one isn't really traditional but I see some people suggest using blood for a Witch Bottle and I though Christ's symbolic blood would be especially potent against evil. It's going into one of the nice looking blue bottles so it's going on a window sill.

Hi Luckbewithme876,

Most of your ingredients sound good although I'd keep the herbs and blood of Christ out of it if you're going for a ''traditional'' witch bottle. I would add your own urine and personal concerns which are a staple in witch bottles going way far back. You can read about it in detail in this post from the esoteric archive: http://www.luckymojo.com/esoteric/occul ... espell.txt as well as in the HITAP page on bottle spells: http://www.luckymojo.com/bottlespells.html#witch

Best of luck.

Thanks! Would it be better if the pins and needles are bent? Can the bottle be used for general misfortune and not just the magical kind? Lastly my reasoning for the Rosemary is because it's one of the herbs I already had and part of its lore is as a holy herb, and according to some stuff I've read it was used in some home remedies against demons. I first got this recipe from Wikipedia's article on witch bottles where it says that modern variations contains pins to stab the evil, red wine to drown it and rosemary to drive it out.

Hi Luckbewithme876,

again, if we're going with more archaic lore - then oftentimes the pins and needles were bent and/or rusty and if made from iron: even better.

As to wether the bottle can be used for general crossing - if you put in the personal concerns of an enemy in it rather than your own and add herbs and curios meant to hurt - then yes - but at that point it isn't a witch bottle anymore, it's a bottle spell.

As to the more modern variations - you're no doubt better versed in them than I since I've never made a witch bottle and have only done reading on their antiquated history. The use of rosemary and red wine vinegar for protection against evil comes from Italian folk magic if I'm not mistaken although others may have more accurate facts on that.

Finally, if one of our experts were able to give a bit of history as to how common the use of witch bottles is in hoodoo - I'd be curious and thankful since it isn't a subject that comes up particularly often in the forum: thanks for bringing it up :)

Well it's not really meant for corssing another person, it's meant for protecting the house. Is it good for more than just magical attack? Again thanks for help. :)

To my knowledge, a witch bottle is meant against witches and attacks from them - that's all (that's why it's called a witch bottle rather than a home protection bottle ;) ). If you want home protection against more than just magical attack, try anointing your windows and doors in a five-spot pattern with Protection or Fiery Wall of Protection in addition to your bottle.

Witch Bottles are used in three ways in traditional British folk magic:

1. To turn back the curses of a witch. In this your own urine was used and the bottle would be sealed.

2. To capture a stable-witch or a witch who travelled in spirit form to come and ride you.

3. To protect a residence from the curses and activities of a witch.

Is there any way to turn it from protecting against just witches into a general protection?
