Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
Can I ask technical questions about the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Radio Show on this forum? Or is there someone I can email directly?
Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
I wanted to suggest to all the other relative newbies (myself included there) to listen to the Lucky Mojo podcasts and, if you are within range, the radio program. I have spent hours listening to the podcasts and have benefited much from them!

My lady and I bought plenty of the archived episodes we hadn't already gotten and are ready and willing to pay for more if we have to. OR- I could help the good Dr. post them if he wanted me to utilize my skillz.
just making sure I'm not too oblivious and missing out.

That's great. I am enjoying listening to the archives of this show.
I am looking forward to hearing new episodes. It's good to be busy! Hope everyone is well.

I was just listening to the episode "Live Session: 043008 - Reducing Debt and Drawing Money" of the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour. (I am really getting a lot from these archived shows, thanks for making them available.) I found it interesting how the client said he was looking for both bringing in money and reducing his fear. I find that interesting because as my hubby and I struggle with really bad luck and money problems which make no sense, my fear resurges over and over from childhood poverty and while I know one needs to keep the right attitude and imagery in their head, it can be hard when the fear is so ingrained. I had never thought of specifically working on the fear itself. What a good idea. Again, I'm so glad for these radio show archives.

If you've never listened to this show you need to tune and give it a listen. The show makes me feel like I've been whisked away to 1930 and I'm sitting beside one of those big old fashioned living room radios. I curl up with a blanket...pick a show...and just listen and I learn so much.
Everything I've experienced from LM has been truly 1st class. The oils, the books, the herbs, curios, spell kits etc., readings with Miss Cat and Miss Elvyra, this forum. And having the radio show makes it even more of a treat to be an LM customer. I can listen to the advice, take notes, then head over to my sacred corner and put what I've learned to use.
Thank you Lucky Mojo for all that you offer. You're so much more than a store. I can hardly wait for my next order to arrive.
Example of success - I used the LM Attraction Oil religiously, putting a dab in my hand and rubbing it up my arms and into my hands. About week two of doing this, I found a $100 bill in a parking lot! I used it to purchase a piece of equipment that I needed for my little studio
LM is an abundant resource and I am happy to be a customer.
Sincerely,
PlainJane

Great show, even with the kids. This was my first time listening live. It was so exciting. I have been listening to the old shows over and over again. Cool, and now I will have lots of new shows to listen to over and over again.

It was good to hear the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour again -- I missed it and had been listening to the archives, but the live show is best. I'll be listening again next week too.

Hi, My name is Rose. This was the first time I listened to the radio show. I got to hear HailDiscordia or Turnsteel, as he is now known. Cat sounded so surprised when he spoke up. Also it was fun to hear Professor Porterfield from AIRR get a reading from Dr. Kioni -- and it was so accurate.
The answers to the caller questions were awesome -- both the readings and the hoodoo spell recommendations.
Looking forward to next Sunday already.

Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
Sorry if I put this in the wrong location, but I found someone selling podcasts that are supposedly recordings of the Lucky Mojo Rootwork Hour. The webmaster put it for 2.99 each. I am pretty sure that the point of podcasts are that they're free (bc they're like radio shows!) and thought it might be useful to have this brought to Lucky Mojo's attention.

While I don't know whose site that is, I do know that some of the back-catalog of these shows are $2.99 for download through Dr. K:
http://hoodoorootwork.blogspot.com/
And the Lucky Mojo site does also mention paying for older downloads here:

I'm not seeing any linkbacks to Miss Cat or Lucky Mojo Curio Co or Dr Kioni.com-- (their names are given) maybe I'm wrong,
(edited) Apparently there are link backs to this site (double checked) up at the top. So I was wrong.
Good share and "looking out"
Route 95
and the podcasts Devi provided are available both free and pay per download that I am certain of.

Ohh okay. I never saw any for purchase since I have a backlog of a few old ones that I got for free from iTunes, I think, a few months ago.
Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a scam.

Dr. Kioni put some of the older shows up for sale and offered affiliates a chance to make some money selling them. I think this may be one of those sites.
However, i did notice that the owner of the site has gone to a lot of trouble to render himself or herself totally anonymous. Even the domain registration is through the anonymizing service Domains by Proxy.

You can download the recent shows directly from BlogTalkRadio almost immediately after it airs - so you don't have to wait for it to get to iTunes before listening if you wish.

Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
In another thread, tnish asked:
I hope that nagasiva or others who use skype to access the radio show while it is on-air will answer this question, as i do not know the set-up for skyping. Can I actually use skype to talk to you two during the show or I must use a phone? Although we can listen by phone skype or through the computer online at your blog the phone is only for talking if we want to call in? This isn't a toll free number, correct?

Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
The Click-to-Talk feature from a BlogTalkRadio episode (located next to the call-in number during the time that a show is on the air) allows you to connect via a toll-free means, listen to the show, and 'raise your hand' (by pressing the number '1' on your Skype number keypad) so as to appear on the show if the Host selects your call. You will be able to hear everything on the show until the Host terminates the show on the sound board, and participate if you have a microphone on your computer and you are selected by the Host to become part of the show. You'll show up as "btrlistener###" with a number assigned to you, and you can let the Host know in the chat which of the Skype people you are if you have applied to be on the show via one of the sites available for this.
There are two different 'Click-to-Talk' features accessible from the BlogTalkRadio.com interface, depending on the kind of operating system and computer that you have:
* one of these says "Skype" on it and when clicked during the show, it auto-opens both the Skype program (it helps if you install and test out the Skype program on your computer before using this feature; download it from http://www.skype.com) and another episode connection without the delay that broadcast listeners experience.
* the other feature is just a straight interface through the browser using your computer's microphone and omits the Skype program altogether. This appears to be very similar except that it does not include the Skype number pad but uses the computer keyboard's number '1' to request to talk instead.
At the conclusion of the show the Click-to-Talk feature disconnects, even while the episode's chat feature will continue until the last registered user leaves the chat.

You're welcome!
Don't forget! We'll be on the air in about 1.5 hours! Clocks have been reset!
There'll be 90 minutes of conjure consultation by two of the best rootworkers in the field. Dr. Christos Kioni and catherine yronwode give free readings and provide their recommendations to callers, and give listeners an education in African American folk magic. You can listen on the web via the link below, call in by phone at 818-394-8535, or 'Click-to-Talk' with a direct or Skype interface. You can also join in the text-chat using a registered account while the show is on, and find archives from previous weeks at the same BlogTalkRadio site. See you there!

Oh yes, that scorpion and then Cat's suggestion about spiders was WONDERFUL! Can't wait to use that on a certain ex-to-be!
And Cat, thank you again SOOOOOOO much for taking my call. It was so soothing to know that Dr. Hernandez is helping me with my health issues and Dr. K. could have knocked me over with a feather when he brought up ancestor--my great grandmother--whom I never knew as the other spirit helping me. Just amazing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that!

Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
I have been loving the new show format. It has been helping me with my study of hoodoo, tarot, pendulum work and more! Can't wait to hear the last one recorded! It really makes the problems people have appear as heavy as they are...sometimes it's hard to get a "full scope" when it's just a quick couple of sentences written down here.
Best wishes and Great Luck with the show...the best version in years!

I went out and bought a locket to put mine and my son's photos and hair in as Miss Cat suggested on the radio show today. I have an idea of how to do this but I find it important enough to have detailed instructions on how to put it together and work it.

I would re-listen to the radio show. I would tie the hair of you and your son's hairs together along with some photos of you and him in both sides of the locket. This is meant to keep him close to your heart, and she instructed you must wear it all of the time.

Is there a new feed url for the podcast that has not been added to itunes? On itunes, new episodes have not been seen since early November. I had asked Dr. K about that and he said to ask itunes about it, and that the problem must be on my end. All the other podcasts I subscribe to download with no problem, it's only the lucky mojo one that has stopped. I deleted the subscription and then re-subscribed but that did not help. When itunes checks for new podcast episodes, a circle with a "!" appears next to lucky mojo but no other ones. Here is a screenshot:

When I click on that "!" I get this alert box:
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5249/532 ... 75e0_o.png
which says:
- "The lucky mojo hoodoo rootwork hour radio show does not seem to be a valid podcast url"
Anyway, I'm sure people are missing out by not having access to the show via itunes. On a previous episode Dr. K was telling Cat about all the listeners he'd been getting from itunes, but now all those people are not able to get new episodes. I hope I am not posting this is the wrong place. I tried sending a private message about it, but my private messaging doesn't seem to be working right (it'll say "message successfully sent") but the it sits in the Outbox, not the Sent folder.

The new episodes are not available on iTunes - you get them through BlogTalkRadio.

Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
Hi, I haven't been able to get this past Sunday's radio hour out of my mind. There was a caller who called in to discuss her on-going struggle with a reconciliation case. There was a moment where it all became quite emotional and I am sure everyone on that call was feeling for that young woman. Miss Cat's response to her was so touching and supportive that it almost had me in tears just listening along. They were words that I am sure resonated with anyone who has struggled through similiar circumstances.
I believe those calls are on archive somewhere if anyone wants to check it out in case they need a moment of inspiration in their own dealings. I just wanted to point it out to say thanks to Cat for not only being a teacher to so many but a compassionate listener as well.

Re: Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Suggestions Requests Feedback
Is there a minimum time we must wait between radio show readings? I was passed over last night at a time when I desperately need an actual reading and cannot afford one. I'm not even bothering to bring my current situation over to the forum, because all I'll get is 'get a reading' bringing me back to my initial problem in the first place. If I had know there was some specific time we have to wait, I wouldn't have bothered.
But perhaps the policy on repeat calls for the show should be stated publicly from now on in order to prevent someone else from going through what I just did.

Thanks and Praise to Dr. Hernandez, St. Jude and St. Anthony for all you have done, and continue to do on my behalf. My eternal thanks to you for your many blessings!

Hi Maljen,
Im going to answer this although Im not cat. And just say what I think. The lists are not a set order that they will take everyone in order. The preregistration was actually made to make Dr Kioni and cat able to choose which callers to take. Based on if their particular case was of common interest. If they had four reconciliation cases in a row, they might take one and then go to a court case instead to get some variation.
And that probably goes for callers too. There are many out there who would love and are in need of a free reading. If they had had few registered callers they might have taken your call.

I can't speak for Miss cat and Dr. K, but I believe you may have simply be missed accidently. The thread for this weeks call was dated the 20th, though the call was the 23rd. Those after you set the day they'd show up as the 23rd while yours said the 20th, this may have caused a bit of confusion.
You are more than welcome to presign up for the next date.
