Here are the new Lucky Mojo books for 2018! They are all useful, basic texts that will get you started with folk-magic spells and divination methods. Each of these new books is a jam-packed 96 pages long. They are written by professional readers and rootworkers who have a solid grounding in the history and culture of African-American hoodoo -- and those who come to the event will be given copies of our new books, included with workshops!

Hi MIss Cat. Will the books be available for purchase at the festival for those of us who may be able to stop by but not attend the workshops?

Hello miss cat. Will there be a Hoodoo Heritage Festival in October 2018 with the Santa Rosa Mystic Fair? If so, I need to start planning now. Thank you.

As part of the Hoodoo Heritage Festival of 2018, AIRR member Papa Newt https://www.facebook.com/Papa.Newt/ presented a workshop on Patron Saints of the Catholic Church, with a focus on Saint Joseph the Worker as the patron of carpenters, contractors, and those in need of housing and shelter.

A traditional community altar was erected, at which participants left petitions and received Mojo Beans (also known as Saint Joseph Beans) for good luck. Many participants also left monetary donations on the atar for the victims of the devastating Sonoma County wildfires of October 2017. A total of $200.00 was raised in the name of Saint Joseph at this event, and we are happy to report that the money has been contributed to the Rebuild Northbay Foundation.

We would like to thank all those who took part in the workshop, and all those whose donations were made in Saint Joseph's name. We recommend that any others who may have charitable interests consider sending a monetary donation in Saint Joseph's name to the Rebuild Northbay Foundation at https://www.rebuildnorthbay.org

I propose this be an annual tradition, perhaps each year a different saint. Maybe next year Saint Francis with petitions for animals.

Bless you all, Rev J
