Human Bones in Gambling Mojo
Human Bones in Gambling Mojo
If you include a human finger bone in a gambling mojo bag, I imagine it would be wise (and considerate!) to both communicate with and show appreciation to the spirit of the individual to whom that bone belongs. Does anyone have any suggestions for working with that spirit and/or acknowledging and thanking him or her when success is achieved? (Beyond the standard care and feeding of the mojo, of course.) Thanks!

Hi Stephanie,
The standard care and feeding of a mojo hand should be sufficient to maintain the spirit. You may smoke the mojo hand with an appropriate incense (or tobacco smoke) as part of your standard care and feeding. You may offer verbal thanks, and/or offer the spirit a white candle and flowers as a thank you for successful work.

Re: Human Bones in Gambling Mojo
Well, I can only speak for my self but my gambling hand: I took the bone in my hand and prayed and gave the spirit my thanks for this and asking that spirit to help me in my work. But that's not really different then what I do with all the items I put into a mojo. I also put out a glass of water with a bit of Florida Water to it the night I made the mojo as an offering to the spirit.

Human Bones and Teeth Questions and Answers
I am curious as to the origin of the finger and hand bones offered for sale by Lucky Mojo. The only information is that they are legal to posess. Are they from India? America? How old are they? I'm curious. I'd want to at least know a little more about where they came from before I ordered one and began working with it.

Re: Human Bones
The LM catalog states that they are "For use in mojo bags for extreme gambling luck in games of chance; also used in Necromantic and Black Arts work." My question is: If used for gambling, would the bone attract negative energies/spirits?

To Mama Micki
The spirits of the dead are regarded as drawers of good luck (if treated well and fed).
In the case of the bones in question one would normally work with the spirit they belong to, the concept of the dead as a being who draws (neutral) or, if used in cursing a gambler, as something who will bring bad luck to him/her.

Human Teeth and Bones Questions and Answers
I had a piece of one of my back teeth break off today. I don't think I recall seeing anything about teeth in Cat's book. Anyway, before I throw it out I was interested if I can add it to any luck/money workings. Cause it's not everyday you get a biological specimen like that from yourself. Well, HOPEFULLY, not every day.
I'm hoping I can do something with it for attraction work.

Re: Human teeth
It could be used as a personal concern for yourself.
I don't know of any lore regarding using adult human teeth for luck-type work, only some animal teeth. I've heard of mothers using baby teeth from their children to craft strong protection or blessing for them. And I've heard of teeth being used in crossing-type work to bite-back at someone. But not in luck.
But if you wanted to use it as a way to link a trick to you, then there's no reason why you couldn't.

LOL - they come from the same legal sources that other suppliers and users of human bone get them from. Some Googling will bring up the info you're looking for.

Re: Human Bones Questions and Answers
In addition to human bones as hoodoo curios, we also carry Tibetan Buddhist goods manufactured from human bone for use in ritual practice. These are to be found under the section dealing with Altar Tools and other religious supplies.

Re: Human Bones and Teeth Questions and Answers
Is there any "proper" way to dispose of a personal concern such as teeth? I was just curious. My husband lost a tooth by accident and was just going to throw it away, but I had him hold on to it. I'm really leery about things like this. I was taught growing up that those things can be used against a person.
For my own children, I have kept all their teeth to make them a protection/luck item as they have been growing up out of it. Could I use my husband's tooth for something similar then?

Odessa,
1) Some people save their teeth to be buried with them, some people bury the teeth ahead of their own death. (And some people don;t care -- but you are not one of them, nor am i.)
2) Yes.

Re: Animal & Human Bones & Teeth Questions and Answers
Dark_Damicelle, human bones are legal to sell in all states in the USA. I suppose people's attitudes toward them vary from the all-out amterialistic to the all-out spiritualistic -- just as people's attitudes vary about the role of nature in our lives, whether we should keep pets, who should be allowed to marry whom, and what is the best brand of hot sauce. It's not our role as suppliers of spiritual goods to judge those who do not see the world in the same way that we do.

Human bones
Hello! This is mostly directed to Ms. Cat as it is a question about what I need from the company.
I recently got a copy of Graveyard Wanderers, a necromantic ritual book from the Swedish folk tradition. Many rituals require the use of human bones, either to be carried or whatever. Now, I don't want to go around digging up graves to obtain such relics. And the issue I have with just ordering bones online is that if I get the bone and the spirit refuses to work with me. Also because I like intimately working with the spirit, I prefer to know its name and preferences of payment.
So, could someone at lucky mojo curio co with the ability to perform such a work be wiling to try find a bone that's in stock willing to work the ritual I need as well as get a name? I hope you will be ableto accommodate this. If not, I understand.
Thank you.

Re: Human bones
Euoi, we do sell human bones here at the shop, but there are a few issues with your request. We do not know the names of the individuals where these bones originate. We have an excellent source for our bones and this source gets them mainly from folks that have donated their bodies to science. Their names have long been left behind.
What I would suggest is seeking out a rootworker who works with spirits to help you with your ritual. You might check out the rootworkers on AIRR to help you. (www.rootworkers.com)
Best of luck!

Re: Human bones
Thanks all. I'll give the shop a call.
If you don't know the name of the spirit, I can probably obtain it through summoning the bone's spirit through simple necromancy.

Re: Human bones
BewitchingBelle,
I will be bluntly honest. used to be no one wanted human bones except a few Paleros. Then in 2011 i gave a course in bone reading and we began to sell bone reading kits In 2012 i wrote the book "Throwing the Bones," about bone reading, and suddenly everyone wanted them. The supply ran low and it can no longer meet demand. Such is life -- and death.
