I'm doing a few jar spells including a honey jar and a vinegar jar. I've had mostly clean burns with the honey jar, and any small bits of remaining wax usually burns away with the next candle burn. However, I had about a 1/2 - 3/4 inch of black wax remaining on my vinegar jar with a few tears on the sides accrued over the last few weeks. Today, I lit the usual 4" black candle on the vinegar jar, and the flame burned away ALL the wax on top of the jar with only the tears on the side remaining!
Usually, the 4" candles extinguish after 2 -3 hours or so, but the black candle stayed lit for more than 6 hours while it was burning away the other wax. The way I see it, this is a good thing since today's candle burned away most of the evidence of any problems with my vinegar jar. Thoughts from the LM forum?
I had reading a few days ago regarding my work (all fine), so I don't plan on having another one until my work is finished.
