I was taught it was good for psychic work and love spells to help make a man more romantic. If your going to be burning it brace your self for a rather uninteresting smell as Jasmine either has very volatile oil that breaks down very quickly or very little essential oil in the first place, I can't remember which. If your going to work with roots and herbs, and you do in hoodoo, I simply must recommend ms.cats wonderful book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic

I have her book of course (smile).. just wanted to know if anyone has used it or have suggestions for its use. I was thinking about adding it to my mojo bag. Thanks.

The magical qualities of this product are described in this book, with folkloric hoodoo spells for use in practical conjure,

Hi,

I really love working with jasmine. Jasmine flowers have a "supreme" feeling about them, similar to the beautiful rose. Combined with what I've read about jasmine and what I have personally experienced, it is a very special plant. Just smell the fresh flowers and automatically they transport you to a loving, spiritual plane! I think it's safe to say that jasmine is best used in spells for a spiritual, deep and special kind of love.

Hey again,

I just realized your post is about dried jasmine flowers. Maybe someone else can enlighten us both on the uses but fresh jasmine seems to hold that particular magic.

In the spells I've seen petitioning St Martha to keep you on a lover's mind (granted, they're variations of the spell given in Marlborough's book), you anoint her candle with Jasmine oil. I don't know if adding the dried flowers would help the spell along or not, someone more experienced could likely answer that.
