HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Good Afternoon All!
I was wondering if someone would be willing to help me complete homework assignment #2. I am of African descent, so I would need the assistance of someone who is not of African descent. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'm putting together my mojo for my final homework assignment. My questions is about tying the bag. Can anyone please point me in the right direction for the right way to tie the bag?
Thanks in advance

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Hello,
I am Nara from Germany and I am interested in Catherine's Correspondence Course for a long time. Meanwhile I feel prepared to the course, I did the orders via Lucky Mojo Shop, read various books and practized hoodoo for myself at home. I so much would like to improve my knowledge and I am ready to ask for the interview. My English is not that good, by the way, hope this is not a problem.
I have one question: I know that in some homeworks it is necessary to send the homework in a box to Lucky Mojo. Do you know about customs problems for forgein students? Were there any problems to send earth, oil, mojo bags to USA in the past? The customs are very tight here. When I ordered stuff from Lucky Mojo shop, sometimes I had to pick up the parcel to custom office and I really had to explain what is insice the parcel (like goofer dust or 4-thief-vinegar).
Best regards
Nara

We have occasionally had packages go astray. But there is nothing in the homework that would be forbidden to receive in the USA>

How to Confirm Homework Recieved
Good morning to all. I mailed a package of my homework (1-8) in mid-February 2015. Who can I contact to learn if the package was received? My student number is #1877.

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Greeting to all,
My question is related to the making my first magical oil, is there a such thing of too much herbs or ingredients in a bottle oil? is it a bad ideal to insert too many, too much herbs in the oil?
Thanks

Hello, dan blessed,
is it possible to take this question to the yahoo group for Miss cat to lead you on this? She is your teacher.
I don' know how many herbs is "too many" or what you are making. So, it's best to ask her what to do
Good luck with your course!

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Hello all! I am slowly working my way though all the required purchases and reading in preparation for hopefully being accepted to the course. I'm having a ball already digging deeper into this idiom of folk magic AND the intersectionality with Black America.
Perhaps this is a silly question. Since the homework is listed on the site, would it be entirely out of line/ill-advised to begin on the homework prior to actual enrollment? I ask in particular because of homework #6. I currently live in the home I've lived in for 15 years and I have a decent wildish herb garden full of roots to harvest. I plan to sell this home in the spring (I have purchased my St. Joseph kit!) and don't know what kind of access I will have to such things then. Fall is a great time for root harvesting and all...
Obviously, I wouldn't be sending anything in yet. I am basically wondering if there are specific procedures in the course that I would not be aware of that would prevent me from collecting now.

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Hi, SweetLady. I am so glad you made it here -- but now you need to get into the student forum (which is not open to the public).
If you have trouble seeing the student forum, just tell us and we will fix you up.
Once you get into the student forum, ask any questions about Homework #2 in this thread --
"Homework 2 Folklore from a Family of Another Culture"
-- and i will reply to the best of my ability.

Hi Miss Cat! I have a bit of a silly question.
You said "We have occasionally had packages go astray. But there is nothing in the homework that would be forbidden to receive in the USA" and that got me to thinking. I have been told that sometimes it's not as much 'forbidden to receive in the USA' as it is 'overly cautious postal system in the country of origin'.
I was wondering...do you all have some suggestions for "safe" terms to use when filling out customs forms?

Hello, whitestar,
Are you a student?
I ask because you are posting this question in the Lucky Mojo PUBLIC Forum as a newly registered forum member, and this is a question that would normally be asked and answered in the PRIVATE student forum. If you are a student and never logged into your student account, please contact nagasiva yronwode on Facebook and he will set you up.

Forgive me if the question seemed presumptuous or out of place. I'm not quite a student...my interview with you is tomorrow! This was my (perhaps foolish) attempt to get my thoughts lined up prior to speaking with you.

LOL!
Okay, whitestar, i get it! I look forward to speaking with you tomorrow. In the meantime, please do scan through the forum and get to see what kind of topics we tackle in the public area. You are now no longer a visitor and your rank is that of a regular forum member.

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Hello. I recently introduced myself in the 2021 open introduction forum with an interest in becoming a student. I've also been on some of the Lucky Mojo sites, taking in a few radio shows, looking at the Correspondence Course requirements and ordering a few of the items needed for the course. I noticed that homework assignment #4 has to do with buying graveyard dirt. Miss Cat's book, Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic goes in to more detail about that and shows a Protection spell.
This Sunday, I will be taking a long drive to the country to bury my mother in a small graveyard with some other ancestors. I plan to purchase dirt for the Protection spell while I'm there. Would it be okay for me to also buy some to set aside for the possible homework assignment?
Thank you,
Gina

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Gina, you can do as you like, but since there are so many lessons on graveyard work in the course, i hope that when you do finally take the course you will read them in depth, and not just skip over, saying to yourself, "already done that." The information on my web page and public books is not intended to be at the level of professional understanding, which is what the course is for,.

Miss Cat,
Thank you for more detail, I had a feeling I was getting a little ahead of myself. I am looking forward to becoming a student and plan to read all the materials thoroughly and immerse myself into the assignments. I will purchase some dirt for the protection spell but will wait until I am a student before buying dirt for the coursework.

Re: HRCC Homework Assignment Questions and Answers
Hi Miss Cat
How are you doing? I enrolled for the Course sometime last year around November. I did receive the Course Book around February. I am just about to be done with all of my assignments to hand in as I am just awaiting an Order from Lucky Mojo to string together my Nation Sack that I have always been looking forward to. I was wondering if I can type the Assignments that have got to do with the Nation Sack, Graveyard Dirt, Conjure Oil & Drying Out Of The Herbs and then write out the rest because I have definition of terms, diagrams and references that I would love to lay out neatly. Other than that I have developed well and now it's about finishing strongly.

Lovemoore ,
I am not Miss Cat, but I can tell you when I submitted my homework, I typed them up as well and sent them in a box with all the homework at once. Items that required to be handwritten of course I wrote them out. Good luck, turn in the homework, graduate, and I look forward to seeing you post on the forum!
