In fact, it has happened to me a couple of times just tonight! LOL. I've even been kicked off the forum!!
I just sign out and then log back in

once logging in, click on 'Board index' to be sure you are at the top level of the site. then click on 'User Control Panel' and then on 'Show your posts'. this should take you to a list of the posts which you have made. click on each of these and they'll allow you to read the thread where you put your post or to which it was moved after you submitted it.

I've been trying to post in the 'railroad spikes questions and answers' forum and keep getting an error message (to paraphrase: "SQL error...incorrect string value... (etc etc)". I emailed the address given to contact a board admin but have yet to receive a reply.
Any info on why I'm getting this error message and how it can be fixed (or what I can do differently if the issue is something on my end)?

You probably know this already, because i tell it to every prospective student during our interview time together, but ... once you sign up as a student you will have access to the private student / graduate portion of the Forum, where more than 7,000 posts from the year 2003 to the present reside, most of them dealing with material published in the course or contingent to the homework.

If you are a student or graduate, then your Forum permissions should have been set so that when you log in, you can see, read, and post within the private sub-forum.

If you are a student or graduate and CANNOT see, read, or post within the private sub-forum, please contact nagasiva yronwode and ask him to help.

At the present time, the best way to contact nagasiva would either be through his personal account at Facebook (if you are his friend there) or through this Forum message thread.

We are trying to help our customers who purchase and use our products -- which means that many of the threads are product-oriented. Today, May 24, at around 5:00 PM, after some maintenance on the Forum, a weird coding error appeared that corrupted all the forum URLS with an appended ":80" after the domain name, which renders the URL invalid. Folks are working on it. In addition, the http and https rollovers are hosed and when out-linking from the forum to the Lucky Mojo site, the non-obligatory "www." has been invoked as obligatory.

Some progress is being made.
