Hi Guys!

I have just started my first semester in grad school and it happens to be one of the best neuroscience programs in the nation. Needless to say... I am STRUGGLING. I did very well in undergrad graduating summa cum laude with a 3.9GPA, but my masters program is a whole different ball game. I cannot, for the life of me, keep up with everything being thrown my way. The coursework is DENSE (which I knew came with the territory), have an exam practically everyday, they give us very little time to complete the exams and we are tested the same day they teach us the material. Hello,
my name is marie, i am 22 years old (23 soon) and i've been in a very tough situation for the past year.
i dont really know how to navigate the site or what would be the appropriate method for my problem. i would like to apologize for my English in advance, i am sorry if I sound a little bit out of place, i will do my best to sound coherent.

my entire life i have always had great difficulty at school, and now that I am older I can see that I've been struggling with anxiety and depression too. it has greatly impacted my performance when it comes to my academics. it has been almost 6 years since I graduated high school and it is only recently that i realized what field i want to study in. the past few years have been very difficult for me as I come from a family that has great expectations for me. not being able to know what i want in life and make my parents proud has made me depressed and disappointed in myself, and like I said it is only recently that I started feeling positive about something.

here is my situation: about a year and a half ago, after going from college to college and failing at being consistent and delivering good results, i found one that specializes in computer science. which is the field that i want to major in. I've been depressed and unmotivated and like every situation, i understand that i am now an adult and i have to take accountability for myself too. not everything is due to external factors I am also to blame. but I really messed up by procrastinating and not putting much effort as this was my chance to finally graduate and take some weight off my shoulder. I have been lying to my parents about being in school for the past few months because the school dropped me. i cannot tell them because I am scared and ashamed. I was supposed to finish my program this year. my parents are not bad people and they only want the best for me. I can't reveal this to them it would really make things worse and break their hearts as our family situation is very bad right now because of financial problems. me staying in school and graduating would take a lot of weight off everybody's shoulders.

back in may or april ? I sought out help from a practitioner and she performed a sweet spell over my principal so he would be sympathetic to my situation, and I was supposed to meet with him after the spell was done, I was overwhelmed with anxiety and ended not going because I feared I jinxed the spell. quite a while has passed since then and I was too ashamed to contact her again.

I would do several things to assist you with the family, the situation, and college. 1. I would cleanse, 2. a honey jar, 3. Crown of Success.

1. I am trying to obtain a certain credential. I passed the scenario based exam but I keep failing the multiple choice one. I failed it probably 6 times by now in the past few years. I know the study material very well but I have major test anxiety and now I also feel defeated and psych myself out. I am going into it with this background of doubt. Plus there is a language barrier when it comes to the tricky questions.

I need to pass this in the next 3 months and I keep pushing it back.

There is no set timeframe for a spell to work, some happen right away, others may take time. This is why we use divination to tell us and direct us in the work. If you are working to be successful in a class and to pass an exam, I would set a candle dressed with Crown of Success oil and King Solomon oil, burn it while you study, wear the oil on your body while you study. You would do this everyday you study. The day of the exam I would take a spiritual bath in Crown of Successful bath crystals, dress in the oil, and have a candle burning while you take the exam. hello sir, i hope you've been well. it is me again after a long time

. I would first like to apologize because it has now been months and I have skipped yet another semester (been very hard to hide from my parents) but now I have my supplies. I didn't know what to do so I thought I would let time pass and contact you again. I have the house blessing oil, influence oil, the peaceful home honey jar kit, the Chinese jar. I could not afford the whole crown of success kit so I just got the sachet powder, the crown of success oil, and the bath crystals. I also got some extra candles (blue, purple and yellow). I'm in a terrible situation right now, my father has to do my taxes and I do not have my transcript for the year because of course, I have not been in school. Rather than lying to your family more, maybe you should consider coming clean on what happened and creating a plan to get you on track. The lies will eventually catch up, even magic cannot hide that longterm. Take a piece of Little John Chew, chew it with honey in your mouth to make your words true and sweet to the parents and tell them what has been going on. Explain with everything going on in the world you slipped but are now ready to get back. Add the parents to a honey jar.

As for success with getting in school and success. Cleanse the house with Chinese Wash to cleanse any energy, then dress it with House Blessing oil. Prepare the honey jar as described in the description. Dress candles and burn them every Mon-Wed-Fri. Burn a candle while talking to your parents about it. Dress yourself with the Crown of Success oil, and dust any papers with the powder, apply for school, dress candles with the oil and powder as you pray to get accepted back into the program. I would also contact the school department while this is happening, explain how Covid affected you and the process of school and you are mentally and physically ready now. I want to say thank you! Monday I used Crown of Success, Fast Luck, and Look Me Over on a photo of my daughter and the school I wanted to get her in. Hello! I took a very difficult exam recently. The exam raters are backlogged and won’t likely grade my test for 3 to 6 months. Before the exam I had drawn a sigil and made it my phone’s wallpaper, and lit a yellow candle and dressed it with bay leaves, John the Conqueror root and van van oil.

I need at least a 4.0 (out of 5.0), and am uncertain I got that. Is there anything I can do in the interim before it’s graded?

Maintain a positive attitude that you did get a passing grade, and pray to ask God to give you this needed grade. Yes, I can you can't is for success over others. It can be used to get a job over a co-worker or rise to the top of the class in grades. Put some on the class door knob, do not touch it, and you will do better than everyone else in the class. If doing online school, print out a list of participants, and apply the oil.

The term "the Master Key" was in popular use by a number of authors during the first two decades of the 20th century. it derives from the use of sets of keys that each open one door only (for instance, in a hotel, or in cash drawers in a department store) , but for which there is an extra key -- the Master Key -- which opens ALL locks and which is the private key of the manager or owner.

The idea of a Master Key that opens ALL locks was used in many contexts during that time period, particularly by those in the New Thought Movement. "The Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel (1916) was an astoundingly popular book, and was among the early wave of New Thought books to use the term "The Law of Attraction." It is still well worth reading, as is its addendum, "Master Key Arcana." Both are available through a number of online sites.

Following on the popularity of Haanel's "The Master Key System," L. W. de Laurence of Chicago, a strange occultistic plagiarist and book pirate, published his own book called "The Master Key," which is a bit more occult in nature than Haanel's work, but still contains some New Thought ideas as well. De Laurence created an image in his book to symbolize the Master Key, consisting of a lion seated on a jewel-encrusted master key of the skeleton key type, on which were inscribed the six "positive" or "male" signs of the zodiac (the fire signs and air signs).

Subsequently, Morton Neumann's Valmor company, a major hoodoo order house of the 1920s - 1970s, released a Master Key product line, featuring art by Charles Dawson which was adapted from, and greatly expanded upon, the de Laurence art.

Hello All!

First time writing in, but longtime reader of your wonderful suggestions! I’m a second-year medical student preparing to take Step 1 and I wanted to ask for some advice on putting together a success mojo.

For context, Step 1 is likely the hardest and most important exam I’ll ever take in my academic career as it “covers all of medicine”, and there have been a few recent changes that make the exam even tougher. I need to pass the curriculum stuff my school has in place to prepare us (basically a practice Step 1 exam with a currently 25% pass rate each time it is offered) and then the actual exam (which has a 75% pass rate for my school overall) within the next eight months. I’ve been a practitioner for a few years now, but the time scale and the importance made me think a need a major working here and a mojo seemed like the best approach. The only hiccup is I’ve never made one before as I mostly work with bottles and candles and protection charms. I’d like some advice on constructing this success mojo and I fully intend to supplement it regularly with a sweetening jar for school officials, dressed candles, baths, offerings, and my grandmother’s gradual change spell that I used to prep for the MCAT.

Since I haven’t made a mojo before I wanted to ask for feedback on my idea for it if that was okay – I haven’t really seen this type of post on the forum before so if this isn’t allowed, please let me know and advise me where else I could get feedback.

The torso and head would be filled with the above 21 components through a slot in the back. I’d also add button eyes and a metal charm for a heart on the outside before breathing life into him. I’m considering making him a white coat and a crown as well to especially soak in the oils and stay focused on the end goal. He'd be kept on me while I study as there is no way for me to bring him into the tightly monitored testing center for the actual exam. Feeding would be equal parts mixed Florida Water, Hoyt’s Cologne, and Cuban Dark Rum and re-application of the oil blend weekly (plus magnetic sand for the lodestone of course).

Thoughts? How else could I improve the working to achieve success on this exam and beyond it? All advice is appreciated!

First and foremost I wish you the utmost luck and success in your studies, exams are stressful. One thing that is on your side is you are actively working to be successful, while doing magic, this increases your chances of success.

You stated you only work with container spells, then went on to say you want to make a mojo and have never done this type of work. A mojo is a container spell, it contains the elements of the prayer that make up the spirit of the work. The description of the yellow doll, this is not a mojo, it is a doll-baby. A mojo is an item that is carried on you, fed with condition oil and prayed over. A mojo would also be carried on you when you take your exam.

Oils: Try not and make an oil blend that is all encompassing, meaning you have 6 oils mixed for a cause, the causes are varying on purpose. I keep my oils inline with my petition, if I want school success, then my oils are about success. Minerals: The focus of your original paragraph, and the scope of this topic is on improving study habits and leading to success. The minerals are not largely reflective of that goal, I would tailor the work to what exactly you want. Minerals I would add for a school success mojo:

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post and to share your advice! I really appreciate it. Just to hit some points:

Thank you! Exams certainly are stressful and I could use all the help I could get lol. I’m particularly worried not because my academics are particularly weak, I’m doing fairly well all things considered, but because the practice exam is considered almost impossible in my school and several of my friends have failed Step 1 with the changes. I suppose that’s why I included so many luck elements as a soft supplement to the success components. Everyone I know says you spend months studying for Step 1, weeks for Step 2, and for Step 3 you have to spend minutes remembering to bring a pencil and show up on time so I can't really overstate how important this exam is to me right now.

I think we have a philosophical difference here that may have led to miscommunication. I apologize for that! When I said container spells I meant things such as honey, vinegar, protection, shaking jars and the like. From my readings and practice thus far, I would personally define container spells to mean a working which, yes, is contained within a vessel but one that functions as a secondary environment to the components of the spell (particularly the paper) as a means of guiding the working and is not intended to house an animated spirit or perform a programmed function unlike a mojo which is breathed into and baptized. I can see now how that could cause confusion as both are effectively vessels with different workings but I suppose the best example I can provide is contrasting the alum-rotting beef tongue working and a corn field dolly if that makes sense? I also must admit my ignorance to the existence of the Hoodoo Dollies booklet – I’ve had the pleasure of reading several of them, but I guess I missed that one and it might just answer my questions. I'll scoop up a copy and will read through the linked forum thread before I move forward in this working now that I know that concept fully exists within Hoodoo. I was sort of taking a riff on the vessel shape from my own cultural background (my Caribbean grandmother who swears she is Catholic and will just about smack anyone who dares suggests she does anything witchy certainly has enough little helpers like this around the house anyway) because it felt like a more natural middle point for a spirit vessel working towards a specific end. Thankfully, I’m approaching my term break and have the better part of a few weeks before the fire gets turned up again to really get this sorted and start off on the right foot!

I re-read the page you linked on the oil blends a second time, and although there are examples of multiple oil blends, I think the record was seven, you may be right and I might be better served by honing my intent here. I have to admit I feel as if I was letting the semiotic language of the thing get away from me a bit since this isn’t an area I’m super experienced in. It’s much different from mixing sugar and honey and molasses and placing a paper into it to get an effect after all. I think I might be best served to narrow down to only: Crown of Success, King Solomon’s Wisdom, Clarity, and Crucible of Courage to really focus in on this working helping me study and succeed and address my areas of weakness.

One of the reasons I wanted to respond to you, beyond giving thanks, was to ask what you meant in this next part and discuss it – would you suggest altogether dropping the listed animal curios and only using the roots and two stones? I do feel reigning in the scope of the working might be wise. The list you gave is quite similar to what I had with the exception of removing Master Root, Devil’s Shoestring, and Five Finger Grass. You also suggested adding Bay Leaves which I had in the doll’s limbs alongside the papers, charms, and saint cards. I had included the curios because the exams do very much have an element of Luck to them and they felt like a natural synergy with the now cut Van Van Oil. Are there any from that list you would advise keeping in? I think, the Rattlesnake Rattle and Rabbit’s Foot fit the magical language rather well here but I am open to suggestions since I really did struggle to find curios for success outside of the roots. I had originally selected the number of items to be building upon one another towards perfection (5 minerals, 6 oils, 7 curios, 8 months, and 9 roots) and end in an odd total of twenty one (not counting the oils or the time of course) or three sevens for a “jackpot”.

I was making a categorical correction, in hoodoo we consider items that contain curious a container spell. A doll-baby, also a container spell, also has the spirit of the person in the doll. Sprit jars, also contain the spirit that was captured. You may have meant, I have little experience with making mojos as most of my spells I have done are jars with molasses, sugar etc. Mojos and doll-babies do have a different method of crafting them.

I certainly understand the importance of the testing, and the luck component and how it plays into the work. My question is, is this work to be successful or to be lucky? In my opinion you put a lot of items into one working, I suggest you break them down into smaller groups that meet the needs. Its often best to give a mojo one job. My suggestion would be to make a mojo for success in your studies to get a passing grade on this exam. Do another working, to increase your luck on the exam, use luck items like Good Luck Oil, Fast Luck Oil (the day of the exam). Taking regular spiritual baths to cleanse and prepare you. Burning an oil lamp or votive candle as you study. Having candles burn when you take your exam.

You certainly can add more oils, there is no rule. I tend to keep it to a few, I follow Miss Cats advice about the the narration of the oil, the story that the blend tells.

Not everyone counts the items added to a mojo, I am not aware of people who count oils when making the mojo. Some will count singular items such as two lodestones is 2, others will count two lodestones and the magnetic sand as 1 item.

Student Success Mojo:

Solomon seal root -wisdom and guidance
Master Root- gain mastery in the studies and over adverse conditions
Sage- for wisdom.

Verbena – For helping students learn the lessons faster.

Take the herbs and roots pray over them and wipe the Solomon Seal root and the Master Root with Crown of Success and King Solomon Wisdom oil. Set the herbs and roots aside. Prepare a petition paper by printing off a copy of the Tarot Card the Hierophant, on the back write out Provers 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Then state your petition to increase in understanding and success in the area of study. 5 spot dress the petition paper and stick a piece of hair from the crown of your head in the center. Compile all the contents into a mojo bag as you call on the spirit of the herbs and roots to assist you. When the bag is made, burn Crown of Success incense mixed with verbena and peach tree leaves as you recite Psalms 134.

Candle spell for students with test anxiety:

Take a light blue or white figural candle, carve your name on the candle, and Psalms 55 V 22 “Cast your burdens upon the Lord, he shall sustain thee”. Dress the candle with Tranquility oil and Clarity oil, to bring about peace of mind and clarity. Burn the candle on top of the Second Pentacle of Jupiter which brings tranquility and peace of mind. Burn the candle starting 7 days before the test, each day burn the candle for 15 mins while praying for peace and tranquility. On the 7th day, let the candle burn out, dress your body with the oil Tranquility and Clarity oil blend, and wear the Pentacle on your body as you take the test.
