Bee & Flower Brand Soaps Questions and Answers

Post by Conjuremoon » Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:28 am

I have ordered the Bee & Flower rose soap for love & Bee and Flower sandalwood soap for peace from the Lucky Mojo.

I do a little work myself but am not practiced in it. I know that when you make oils & such you use real herbs & curios as Lucky Mojo states unlike the unscrupulous makers that use colored water, etc.

But as far as these soaps I do like them.

Are they made with essential oils or synthetics?

Do you think they work even though they may contain synthetic oils?

Thanks
Tara

To my knowledge the Bee & Flower soaps are made with essential oils.

LM carries Bee & Flower soaps and they also do carry the essential oils: Rose Essential Oil and Sandalwood Essential Oil

Bee and Flower soap is not made by Lucky Mojo; they just sell it. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the exact ingredients.

On a general note though. A rose soap is very unlikely scented with Rose Otto since that would cost very very much money. A Sandalwood soap most likely isn't scented with sandalwood either, but might be scented with Amyris, if it is not scented with fragrance oil.

The soap contains perfume and Bee and Flower company will probably not share the ingredients in their perfume. But it would most likely be fragrance oils which can be completely articifical compounds or a synthetic oil, that is, a synthesis of mixture of essential oils and/or artificial scents.

If you want to be sure you have real rose in your bath I suggest ordering a bath product from Lucky Mojo that contains roses.

Also Lucky Mojo doesn't sell a Rose Essential oil, but a Fragrance and Essential oil mix. since the cost of pure rose oil is so high. But still if you buy that you will know for sure that there is real rose in there.

If you want to have something to wash with daily, you could use a few drops of the oil in an unscented shower gel.

Please see our pages on Essential Oils, Synthetic Oils, and Fragrance Oils for more information:

The use of synthetic scents in the manufacture of blended fragrance oils and perfumes has been part of urban and even rural hoodoo since the early 20th century. This does not excuse the removal of herbs and roots from old forulas or the use of known toxic and carcinogenic chemicals by some modern manufacturers, but it does explain the acceptance of certain secular and spiritual goods based primarily on their scent rather than their "purity."

Oh good. As in an earlier post on making soap with Lucky Mojo herbs I was wondering if I can use, rose fragrance instead of the essential rose oil, but this answers my question! Thanks everyone!! I have used Bee & Flower that I purchased from LM I know it is not their brand, and it always seemed to help with the work I did. I just want to make sure.
