Angelina, it probably were unrelated to the spellwork you did. You can seek the advice of a reader if it bothers you.
If you want to move someone away from your husband, I'd suggest you use hot foot or bansishing products.

Here is a link to the hot foot spellkit

Thank you svarthyndan,

I have tired hot footing this person more than a few times, but he keeps coming back. I just wish for him to cut all ties with this guy-he's like a leech!

Maybe you should contact a professional, if you haven't done so already, to get a reading on this situation.

I read on this page, http://www.luckymojo.com/baths.html, that to cleanse a house that is spiritually messed up, you cleanse from back to front, scrubbing out and lighting a white candle in each room. My question is, if you are washing for good luck and a generally happy home, not to cleanse from negative energy, would you also light the candles? I would assume also, since the prior paragraph on the page is about washing for good luck and that's what it says to do, that you would scrub from the front doorstep inwards?

I forgot to add, is it necessary to take a bath beforehand for a good-luck/love-drawing floor washing ritual, as it is with the uncrossing floor washing ritual?

Sakura:

The spells are recommendations formed out of the cultural tradition of Hoodoo conjure. They are not rules and any spell can be done with more or less products and with or without following certain timings of moon, time of day etc. Most people feel that work that has more than one element to it, such as cleaning the floor AND ligthing candles is a stronger job than one done with just one single element.

So. The answer is that it is not neccesary to light candles in combination with a floor wash, but it might add strenght to the spell.
Neither is it neccesary to take a bath beforehand, but it may also add to the strenght of the job.

If you are an unexperienced worker I suggest you take the bath on the first thursday following the new moon, clean the floor and add candles to each room. Use corresponding LM incense and powders, dress yourself with proper condition oil and carry a Mojo bag as well and you will have made a "complete" job. If you can not afford all of this or do not have the possibility, you use what you got and you add to the work later when you got time to do it and money to get the products.

Just my 2c Sakura:

I love spiritually cleaning house. Not only has it reconciled me with doing floors and framing (which had previously been a pet peeve of mine) but it leaves the entire living space feeling refreshed and alive.

Last time I was cleaning house I finished by leaving a sprinkling of peony sachet powder (http://www.luckymojo.com/products-peony-root.html) in the four corners of every room and in the bedroom I leave it in quincux with some left under the bed as well.

Happy scrubbing :)

I've been in remission from a long illness, which will come back. In the meantime, after a year and a half I'm able to work and I love it. I would like any suggestions on protecting my health and staying well long enough to make up some of my financial debts.

Healing (http://www.luckymojo.com/products-healing.html) and Blessing (http://www.luckymojo.com/blessing.html) candles for sure; also consider petitioning Dr. Jose Gregorio Hernandez (http://www.luckymojo.com/drhernandez.html)

Consider the uses of Angelica Root (http://www.luckymojo.com/angelica.html); it is a powerful Guardian and Healer, provides strength to Women and used for the purpose of warding off evil and bringing good luck in health matters

What is it that i can do or use that can cleanse my aura?

I feel there is a lot of negativity surrounding me and surrounding my relation with my ex, so i wanted to do something that will help me cleanse my aura and keep all negativity and bad things around me, and in between me and him to stay away?

Any suggestions, any recommended oils that i can use, or anything that i can do to cleanse out my Aura?

You can use uncrossing products to cleanse the negativity. In addition you should use some protection products as well. I would make sure that you cleanse yourself for a good period of time, and do it regularly rather than waiting til you feel completely weighed down.

Good suggestions, Stars -- i would only add that cleaning the home with Chinese Wash is also bound to be of help.

These books will also teach you a lot of traditional, low-cost ways to keep your house spiritually clean and protected:

What I do is sage and Chinese Wash on a regular basis. I use the Eucalyptus oils and herbs from LM, along with other protection products. I use these in my mop water, as well as during spiritual baths. Fiery Wall of protection is great, which starsinthesky7 has mentioned. Meditation is great, asking for those benevolent spirits around you to help you cleanse out your aura. As far as working to keep him away, you could do Cut & Clear work or Separation work depending on your situation.

Remember in Hoodoo we work with the herbs, oils, powders, and other tools to get the job done. Simply visualizing through meditation would not be enough.

So I would opt for actually cleansing yourself with Chinese wash, uncrossing baths etc. Saging is great on a regular basis. I do this as well. You can ask saints, and ancestors to help you with protection and/or uncrossing, but I would still cleanse my space and myself as well.

someone told me about bringing a raw egg and roll it over my body from head to toe while i say my intentions and then throw it on a tree and leave? is that a good idea as well?

And for the bath where else an i dispose the water instead of in a cross road? and is an intersection considered a cross road?

Suggestions please

Psalm 51, and 37 are both great psalms.

Yes rolling an egg over you body is a form of cleansing. You roll it downward from head to toe as you stated. Some people throw it at a tree farm from their home. Throw it over your left should and do NOT look back. Looking back means that you doubt your work and would need to do it again.

A crossroads are two roads that cross which look like +. Yes an intersection is an example.

It is traditional to dispose of the remains by dawn. If you can do it, then do it. If you can't do to a work schedule then do it as soon as possible. But if you are just doing it because you dont want to wake up...well...thats just being lazy lol. So take the time it will only take you probably 10 minutes.

I personally cleanse myself with the egg first...without clothes on. I roll the egg down my body asking that it remove negativity from me, and/or saying the 51st psalm (no you dont have to memorize it).

Once I am done with the egg, I will take the egg and put it on top of a picture of myself, and put it under my bed. Put the egg in a bowl or something so it wont roll around. Keep it there for 13 days.

While the egg is under the bed, I would be taking baths each day, and then disposing the water each day before dawn. Dispose of the water at a crossroads without looking back.

On the 14th day, you can get a bowl of water, and crack the egg in a bowl of water. I have seen hair, blood, and other things come from the eggs as when people are crossed or just have a lot of negative energy. If the egg smells rotten, then there is a lot of negativity that has been absorbed in the egg as well. I personally would continue to repeat it and/or seek professional help if you see hair or blood especially. But if it comes out "normal" then you are okay.

You don't have to crack it in a bowl of water, but I do this to look for signs. But you can just take the egg and crack it at a tree or crossroads.

Take the egg content, and dump it at a tree over your left shoulder without looking back. You can take it to a crossroads as well.

I always like to do two or even three ways of cleansing especially when I am feeling particularly negative or I feel I havent cleansed myself in a long time.. Make sure that you cleanse your home and space as well, and then keep yourself protected. And then do a maintenance cleansing at least once a week. You can just simply sage your home or yourself. Then do a thorough cleansing like above once a month.

I already ordered some uncrossing bath and chinese wash but i haven't received them yet, so i was thinking on doing the egg rolling until i receive my merchandise, so do i just take regular bath for 13 days or i have to use something in my bath but i don't have any of them handy at the moment so i was sondering can i place the egg under my bed and just take regular bath while reciting the psalm and my intentions for 13 days or is there anything that i can buy from a store until i receive my things? because i really don't want to wait and LM don't know yet when they will send it out?

Well naturally you would take a regular bath anyways. But simply praying while doing a "regular" bath is not going to enough. You can do a salt bath until you get your products. Bath regularly, then prepare some salt (a pinch or two of salt is good) with water in a bowl. You can recite the psalm and then dump the water over your head (or from the neck down if you dont want to get your hair wet), then air dry. You can do this in the mean time until you receive your products.

Then when you receive your products repeat the entire process. You should be thoroughly cleansed. Start with a new egg too.

As I stated above, I personally prefer to do it unclothed. But if you want to do it clothed then that is up to you. If a rootworker was doing this on a client then the client would be clothed most likely. So you can do that if you like.

Hello All!

This summer represents a rare moment of opportunity in my life in that I am not overwhelmed by an abundance of obligations and commitments. I'd like to use that small break in the rhythm of things to develop myself in ways that I see fit, and I believe that Hoodoo is one route through which I might accomplish these goals. After taking a serious and thorough inventory of my objectives, I've decided that they each flow from three areas that I need to enhance overall in order to see the kind of results that I'm looking for.

1. I need to build a better sense of discipline in terms of my self-control and ability to resist this lifelong habit of procrastination that I've created. Physical fitness, finding and improving relationships, gaining magical expertise--these things flow from the basis of all action which is quite simply taking action steadily and promptly. What oils can I use to put these new habits into effect? I was thinking of Cast Off Evil oil as a remedy to the procrastination habit and High John the Conqueror for forging new ones.

2. If I'm ever going to reach the heights of my spiritual practice, I'm going to need to contribute to that goal every day, multiple times a day if possible. The establishing of better habits will go a long way toward that end, but I'd also like to boost the amount of ground I cover in my work. Would Master Key oil be applicable in this sense in combination with Crown of Success and perhaps a dose of Abramelin? I'm open to any and all suggestions here.

3. Here's a common one I bet: I also need employment if I'm going to do the things that I need and want to do. Which oils would help in this case?

There's one somewhat unrelated question that has piqued my curiosity. I'm new to rootwork but not to spiritual practice as a whole. Are there ever any impediments to one's ability to practice Hoodoo successfully? It was my assumption that spiritual experience was open to all beings but at differing capacities and specialties. Is Hoodoo just a matter of your spiritual gifts lying in one direction?

Thanks ahead of time for your responses!

Hi SatoriSought,

for #1, consider doing some road opening work (http://www.luckymojo.com/spell-van-van.html) as well as using King Solom Wisdom products (http://www.luckymojo.com/kingsolomonwisdom.html) for help making wise decisions in your activities.

#3 - a good combo would be a steady work spell kit (http://www.luckymojo.com/spell-steady-work.html) to start the work going and then a honey jar worked regularly to keep it all going.

Finally, I'd consider all of your goals globally and then look at the different custom mojo hands that LM makes (http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatmojo.html) to aid in choosing one which will work with the intentions as a whole.

For the ''who'' and ''how'' of Hoodoo, I'll leave response to more gifted persons.

Blessings and best of luck. :)

I would recommend a thirteen herb bath and then trying road opener candles, oils, and incense, so you can be clean and start fresh, you can find all of these products on the LM site as well as instructions on how to use each.

I made this bath up on my own...here it goes ...

At first I used Ammonia..but then my mom flipped on me and said how toxic it was so I just started using my own pee...and let me tell you there was a difference....it was more conditioning ...so to speak..as much as pee can be..it was nicer on the skin at least ...and it just felt right..made me feel more holistic!

So my suggestion...just pee a little bit in that tub..go old school..don't squerm..and you weren't ment to soak in it anyways..so..there ..yea I sat in my own pee..and I liked it..I digress..

So there is :

Pee
Basil
Hyssop
Eucalyptus
Rosemary
Pine Needles
Rue
Salt
Saltpeter
Epsom Salts
Uncrossing Oil
Blessing Incense or Sage Incense

Boil the water and pour the water over the herbs in a bowl and let them steep for about 10 mins like tea. Melt the salts into the hot water with the herbs,

As to how to measure...I just go buy whatever feels right to me....that's how I've always done things..although I have a heavy hand and tend to over do it a little bit...I feel that 's ok..in this kinda situation..although less is still more ...because it's the vibration of the herbs the power of the herbs that you are calling on not the amount of the herbs..so it really doesn't matter if you use a pinch or a handful..ya know...it's all good.

so you dress two white candles with uncrossing oil and place them opposite of each other like pillars in the bathroom and get together your incense...now..I at first used lucky mojo's blessing incense but then I was just useing sage as it felt more purifying...just instinctive feeling I guess you could call it..and it is for purification even in Hoodoo...so..

you get into said bath pouring all of the steeped herbs into the bath first ..get your bible ready and a cup to pour water over your self...and some sea salt to wash your self with.....read the 37th and the 51st psalms I kinda like the 35th too...up to you really but traditionally speaking I believe its' just the 37th and the 51st....I only read the 51st several times ..but like I said..when I did it ..I was still learning...and still am...but anyways...aren't we always learning

Then what I did was I poured once over my head read the psalms then dunked my whole body under the water once ..then did the wash ...keeping mind that I had done it twice and this is for a 9 herb bath should have mentioned that earlier..oh well..anyways...you start from the top of your head with the salt and wash downward stroaks...right down to the bottoms of your feet in a downward stroke...then get back into the water and pour over your head till it's 8 times then dunk one last time to make it 9 times...then take your cup fill it up put it asside...get out and empty tub....let your self air dry between two dressed lit candles..they should be lit the whole time....you should also have incensed before you got into the bath too...a little..anyways...then smuge your self with whatever incense you are useing...be it actual sage...blessing incense from luckymojo or their uncrossing (most suggested) incense....

focus on your whole body with a concentration on any parts in particular that you might feel may be jinxed...
ie...some people get their sexual nature jixed...so you would run the incense under your genitalia and waft it towards it and so on....

then take the cup of bath water to the crossroads and throw it to the west to take it away from you....do this bath in the PM before Midnight...do it for 9 days straight then do a drawing/sweet bath for 9 days straight in the am or after midnight till dawn...or right before dawn..and throw bathwater to the east to draw it towards you....also when doing sweet bath you start from toes up in an upward motion of washing... hope this was informative and correct...as I too am still new..and did make the recipe up my self..using Cat's herb book
Just a spoon full of honey makes the medicine go down....;)

Folks, this thread is about CLEANSING (Bathing, Cleaning, Getting Rid of Messes).

It is not about REMOVING and it is not about CUTTING TIES.

Just because people use the term "washing someone out of my life" as a metaphor does not mean that this thread -- which is about cleansing, washing, bathing, and cleaning -- is about banishing people from one's life.

Here are some of our most popular SPIRITUAL CLEANING products -- and you can order them right in this thread by clicking on the blue Add To Cart buttons:

To make this forum useful for newbies, i am requesting that questions -- and answers -- about the topics of REMOVAL (Hot Footing, Banishing, Goofering, Cursing) and the questions about CUTTING TIES (Cut and Clear) be taken to other threads.

Thanks!

This is a Floor wash i came up with based on an old Business and good Luck floor wash

So here is what i did:

I took

9 Cinnamon sticks to draw money, purify, and to protect, and
3 sprigs of Rosemary for Clearing that Negativity

I steeped them overnight in a pot of boiled water.

in the morning I added 3 table spoons of sugar to sweeten this all up.

i poured this Steeped Tea in a Spray Mop along with 3 cap fulls of Pine-Sol. I use Pine-Sol because i have varnished wood flooring and also Pine is for Drawing Steady Money and to drive away mental negativity

I prayed to bring Peace, Prosperity, and Positivity to all occupants and Visitors of the home.

And so I washed the floors, and i must say the Scent is so so Invigorating as well as a great feeling of calm Peacefulness it truly amazing!!
Everybody worrying me, want to know why I'm so crazy about dirt dauber tea

I use a spray mop because that's what we have -- and I always put a little something into the wash water I'm using. I just make sure to launder the head I use in between, because I use a non-disposable alternate cover instead of the paper ones.

I find this method works really well and I'm quite fond of it.

I followed Devi's advice a while ago and add CW, Van Van and Florida Water to the water I use in my steam mop. I love Butchcomer's idea about sachet powders on carpet! Going to have to try that one. I also make up a mix of Chinese Wash, Florida Water, and Van Van in a spray bottle with water and use that to spray down the walls as well.

Would it be alright to disolve bath crystals (say, van van, tranquility, or fiery wall of protection, for example) and put it into a spray bottle to use as a spray around the house? My husband is funny about smoke(from insence) and dust and the like. I use the condition oils but they can't be applied to everything. Just curious.

Sure. You can also put them in a bucket of hot water and wash the floors and woodwork with the water, praying as you go for whatever your wish is (protection, money drawing, whatever). It's a very traditional way to use bath crystals and washes.

Good luck,

Absolutely. I do that all the time! I also dissolve some in warm water and add it to the rinse cycle on my laundry, too.

I've made my own room sprays by combining a perfume with some condition oils. I don't know if the salt bits or herb pieces would clog up your spray bottle, but I really like my perfume and oil sprays.

Thanks Cyd!

My own version of the tea if u care to give it a try (this one is mostly for positive home by virtue of clearing the yuckies - although I admit, I'm rather partial/addicted to Chinese Wash for house-cleaning thanks to the simplicity & reduced time required for its use ):

-12 cups of steaming hot water
-3 fresh lemongrass stalks, cut into match sized pieces & halved
-handful of fresh or dried whole sage leaves
-7 bay leaves
-branch of fresh hyssop (flowering if possible)
-pinch of rock salt
-pray psalm 23 & 51 while chopping all the herbs and pouring the water

add the tea to a mop bucket + 15 drops pine essential oil as a cleaning agent

snake, you would dissolve the salt in warm water and strain out any herb bits. It woks great. So does using a few drops of condition oils in water, but in that case you have to shake the mixture up now and then because the oil will separate from the water. Mixing condition oils with perfumes or colognes is also a popular method. Hoyt's Cologne is the most tradition perfume used in this manner. We carry it in the shop just for this reason and you can order it right here in the forum by clickin on the blue Add To Cart button:

Apologies if this has been asked before:

I only have a shower, not a bath, in my apartment. My usual method for taking herbal "baths" is to tie up the herbs in a large muslin bag that fits over the shower head, and shower as usual. I'm wondering - is this method acceptable for hoodoo, or would washing with a basin be better?

Please understand the "traditional" way of cleansing involves steeping the herbs in boiling water, straining, (allowing to cool) and pouring over the body while standing in a wash tub. Read further here about Herbal Baths (http://www.luckymojo.com/baths.html#herbbaths)

You want to get some kind of tub to place at your feet in the shower stall, pouring the bath over yourself (or washing upwards with it as the case may be), and that will collect the used water that sloshes off of you for proper disposal at a crossroads (or whatever location is appropriate for your condition).

When using herbs for herbal baths, just running water through the herbs is not sufficient for getting the essence and spirit of the herbs into the water and into your bath. You will always want to boil water and steep the herbs so that they infuse into the water.

Thank you very much! That clarifies something that didn't really connect before (that the herbs need to be steeped).

I'm sure I'll ask more dumb questions in the future - I can be a bit slow on the uptake sometimes. :)

As a small aside. I've had it happen that people balk at the thought of buying a tub to do a spiritual cleansing. (which strikes me funny since they are usually A-ok with spending money on a reading and buying a bath, but I digress) What I always suggest is going down to the grocery store and buying a disposable aluminum roasting pan, one with nice high sides. Its not exactly classy, but if your desperate it works very well and is extremely affordable. Just wanted to toss that out there :)

I think it is a great idea too, Turnsteel! In Ft Lauderdale a few years back, I lived in the cutest renovated place ever. (Miami Sqaure glass and all) but no bath tub :(. Anyway... on to ways to work... different place, flash forward Im in an older place a bit back, still in Florida; the same scenario... no bath tub... cute old place, another while back :) There are several places to help us get what we need to do what we need to do.
Now I don't have to improvise, but I did and Turnsteel gave great advice on a "how to"!
Great idea Turnsteel!!! I have improvised, and that was kind and great of you to share your idea!
Thank you!

Is Florida Water an acceptable substitute for Chinese Wash when cleansing your living space?

I intend to do a simple home cleansing this weekend, but I doubt that my order of Chinese Wash will arrive on Saturday. I have ordered some Florida Water, and I think this might just arrive on time. I'm thinking about adding this to a spray bottle of water and using it to clean my carpet, and maybe my windows and curtains as well as other surfaces. Is this advisable?

hi guys,
just to clarify the psalm 51 prayer in using hyssop bath.. should I recite the full verse psalm 51 or just the psalm 51:7 where the hyssop was mentioned?

thanks!
