Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Hi Frey,
others may have more thorough / better input, but as I understand it, both are cleansing - it comes down to a question of preference and personal succes with each or both of the products. This is personal: I consider Florida Water ''regular cleaning'' whereas Chinese Wash would be more a ''get rid of all the garbage'' kind of cleaning; but as I said, that's what I find works for me.
I find that for cleaning surfaces when doing energy work, (or walls and carpets as you're suggesting) Florida Water works better than Chinese wash because, being alcohol based, it can be ''spritzed'' and evaporates quickly. That said: do a test patch in an innocuous area first in order to ensure that you won't harm any fabric or wall finish. Most of my clients also find Florida Water preferable scent-wise as compared to Chinese Wash. On the other hand, for floor scrubbing, I'd by far rather use Chinese Wash.
If you look at the LM product listings and information, it states that Chinese wash is ''for clearing away evil, home purification, and unjinxing'' whereas Florida Water is used '' rituals of home protection and spiritual cleaning''. So on a whole: happy house cleaning

Hi aura,
thanks for the reply, that was helpful. My Chinese Wash delivery actually came through on Saturday. I filled a spray bottle with warm water and mixed in the Chinese Wash and sprayed the carpets after tidying and dusting the place. I'm not sure if I was to do this in a more ritualistic or ceremonial way, but the home cleansing was part of a personal cleansing ritual I've been performing daily for over a week now. I might try it again next weekend, and use the Florida Water from then on for more regular cleansings now that I'm taking this cleansing business more seriously.

Right now I'm doing a 7 days uncrossing bath early in the morning before I go to work. After a days work, could I take my regular shower before I go to bed or I need to wait ti'll the next morning? I really smell and I can't sleep without taking a shower before bed as a habit.
Blessings,
Al

I normally take my regular shower directly prior to taking my spiritual bath. However, if you get really dirty at work, of course you may take a shower to get clean before bed.
You could consider making a small portion of the uncrossing bath and putting it into a spritz bottle, and after your regular shower at night, spray yourself down with the uncrossing spray before bed to continue the cleansing work. It's just an idea. I really love working with sprays.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Although it ain't hoodoo I'm just sharing here folks. It cleanses the outside and inside.
Locally here in Singapore it's called the "Seven Flower Water Bath". It's an Eastern thing, close to Taoism and Buddhism.
Consists of taking seven different kinds of flowers (any kinds), 7, 14 or 21 lemon leaves and a lime of which you should cut in quarters. These things are prayed/blessed at an altar. Then put into a pail/bucket and filled with water. Do not forget to squeeze the juice out of the lime into the water. Should smell nice and lemony.
In the morning, the person uses a large cup or mug or dipper and pours the water along with the flowers over the head from the previously prepared bucket. If the person wishes to cleanse the inside, the person takes 7 sips of the water. After all the water, flowers and leaves have been poured over the person, care must be taken not to touch or step on the flowers left on the bathroom floor. (These have taken the negativity from you.)
Most use a pair of disposable chopsticks to pick up the flowers, leaves and lemon to put into (modern) a plastic bag or (traditional) paper to wrap up and throw away. Some throw it in the garbage (modern) some put them out in the fields or near a forest where they can decompose and return to the Earth naturally.
If you don't know how to use chopsticks, you can always use a broom and a dustpan. (Just don't touch the flowers, leaves and lemons)
Locals who drink the water, often get stomach upsets and when they visit the toilet, their poop is black and foul-smelling. So we know the dirty stuff has been cleansed from within too.

You don't need to add anything to the Healing products. They are formulated for all kinds of healing and are complete as is.

Healing products by themselves are great for all types of healing. However I like setting a Blessing candle alongside healing work as they compliment each other rather well.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Hello All:
I have been trying to find a good spell to work up for banishing bad habits, negative energy, and removing whatever is blocking the flow of positive energy, events, and persons into my life. I read somewhere on the site about a spell that involved writing out all of the things that you want to get rid of from your life onto a piece of torn paper bag, crossing them out, then burning a candle on them...I can't seem to perform a productive search using the search feature on the site to re-locate this spell. [please help!]
Also, I have done road opener spells, and uncrossing work over the past 3-6 months. They seem to be helping, but I still need to do something to remove blockages, negativity, and bad habits, I think.
I am not sure what really needs to be done. I am a 17 year veteran of tarot readings. I have tried to read about advice for further spell work...I don't feel I am getting a clear answer. Thanks a bunch! ~SweetLady

Try working with the Cast Off Evil spell kit, which is specifically for getting rid of bad habits and patterns:

If someone has a cleansing bath without any drawing work can that lead to ignoring and neglect from others not wanting to be around you?
Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
No, a cleansing bath is not going to somehow cause others to ignore you.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
The answer remains, no. As stated before on this forum, works don't have the opposite effect of what you intend. If you do a honey jar to sweeten, it will not sour and if you do a cleansing bath it will not suddenly make people avoid or neglect you.
The cleansing removes the bad that is on you, is all.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
I´d say it depends on the previous company. If you hang out with smelly people who are used to be in the company of other smelly people. One day you show up all clean and tidy. It can very well make these people back off a bit. Spiritual energies are not very much different.Artaynia wrote:If someone has a cleansing bath without any drawing work can that lead to ignoring and neglect from others not wanting to be around you?

A variation of what you mention can be done by lighting a black candle over the crossed out bad things. Let it burn for a while, then blow out the candle. Give candle and the paper to a helpful dead at the cemetary. Don´t forget to pay the spirit. Never look back.SweetLady wrote:Hello All:

Have you cleansed your home on a regular basis as well? If not, then you just fall back into shit as soon as you come home or sit in that favourite sofa. Have you tried Hyssop baths? Perhaps there is an issue of forgiveness and removal of sins of the past?
Perhaps you pay too much attention to bad things? Perhaps try doing "Love Me", "Attraction", "Peaceful Home", "Honey Jar" and "Blessing" for the comming 3-6 monts and see if that will turn things around. Don´t forget to add the baths to each spell.

Many people cast spells but forget to cleanse their homes. A home filled with energies filled with thoughts and emotions supportive of a negative conditions, can make people fall back into whatever crap they are trying to get rid of as soon as they get home.Dr Johannes wrote: Have you cleansed your home on a regular basis as well? Hi,
I recently bought aSteam Mop for cleaning the non-carpeted floors and love it. I just had a question regarding using any floor washes inside of it, most specifically Chinese Wash. Since it is a steam mop there really isn't any leftover dirty water to discard, so how would that affect the cleaning process?
Thanks,
Sun

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
If you do not have long experience in cleansing a place spiritually, do not try to be smart and adapt age old remedies to modern comfort and amusements.
By the sound of it your mashine is not the best choice for spiritual cleansing, since you do not know what you are doing and how to do it.
If your mind can not follow a simple path it has no where to put out the powers of magical gift.
It can understand; "clean up" -"throw out bad stuff" - "Do not look back".
Try: "put magic in mashine" - "steam it out into the room" - "throw nothing out" - "do not look back". Does that sound simple and right to you?
If not then just use a cloth, dip it into a bucket of good stuff, twist the cloth so that it will not stain and start the work while praying out loud. Once you are done you take thestuff to the crossroads and be done with it.

Hi Dr. Johannes,
Thanks for your reply. I've done periodic cleansings, mostly with chinese wash, over the years in the traditional way as you described above. I just wasn't sure if there was anyway to adapt the modern tools to the job. Thanks for clarifying I appreciate your feedback.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
I've never used Chinese Wash in my steam mop, but I have added a (very) few drops of Van Van into the tank when cleaning before.
Because of the points that Dr. Johannes has already discussed, I would not count on that method in the case of wanting to do a very thorough cleansing job in the case of being crossed up, or wanting to really get clear before a working - however it is a nice addition to day-to-day cleaning routines. I definitely feel a spiritual difference when I use the Van Van and pray as I do my daily chores, then when I don't.
Do be careful about the amount of extra solution you use, as I did end up killing one steam mop when I got overly enthusiastic with the Van Van, and the oils gummed up the mechanisms! So a drop or two will do ya - and I imagine if you dilute the Chinese Wash very well it would work nicely.

Theoretically one can put small amounts of incense or satchet powder in the hair dryer as well, but it may not be the best of ideas.

Hello Everyone,
I am very happy to say I am a proud new home owner!
I really would like to keep my home a safe & happy place for my baby & I.
Also important to keep bad people & spirits out. (maybe red brick dust? )
Any suggestions in addition to Cleaning with Chinese Wash?

Welcome to the forum LEARNING719. Read cat's website here (http://www.luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html) it recommends an addition of a dash of ammonia to the pail-full and ... adding a few drops of hoodoo oils for your own specific protective and cleansing needs, such as Fiery Wall of Protection, Uncrossing, or Rue Herb in Oils. Also...and I just love this...(something we forget) to bring good things to you...wash the path and front door entryway inward with a small amount of water in which you have stirred some herb-based hoodoo oils for various luck-drawing conditions, such as Attraction, Money Drawing, or Fast Luck spiritual supplies, or a home-made mixture such as cinnamon (for wealth), sugar (for sweet things), and urine )to mark your place for yourself alone).
Since you had a precious little one, consider Blessing (http://www.luckymojo.com/blessing.html)...as well

Lavendel, violet and flax seeds are nice combo to used with the Blessing products. Skip the incense, Ammonia or anything containing hot ingedients.

Hi what are the benefits of cleansing the walls of the home what would be the benefits of doing so?
Also if I wanted to make a house cleansing of the walls would chinese wash with florida water be a good choice?
Do you just pray over the water before you start cleansing of your intentions and then begin?

Washing down the walls is part of a very thorough spiritual house cleansing.
No need to add florida water to the Chinese Wash. The Chinese Wash is perfect as-is.
Yes, you pray your intentions as you prepare the Chinese Wash, and then continue to pray your intentions as you clean.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Hi Blueberry
Maybe you have read the site about how to use Peacewater here?: http://www.luckymojo.com/peacewater.html You could also place a bowl with Peacewater on a little altar if you have one in your house or a place where you keep your familyphotos.
Personally I like the idea to keep the spiritual waters, oils, lamps and candles for the home, on a shelf close to the fireplace in my house.Or if you prefer you can find a room or a place that you feel functions as the "heart of the house".

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Sometimes when I do an egg cleansing I get a headache. It feels as if someone is shining a bright light in my face. I dont feel negative just oddly blank. It goes away if I pray and rest and rub some holy water in the middle of my forehead. What can be causing this? I dont feel as if im doing anything wrong. After the headache goes away I feel good
Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
i tried to "freshen up" my home after doing a complete housecleansing.(about a month after a spiritual cleaning)what i did was took the florida water and sprinkled a little from back of house to front in each room but only on the windows and doorways, including the closet doorways.i made the sign of the cross.(i didnt have holy water handy but i just wanted to recharge the earlier work anyway so i used florida water)and as i got to the front entryway i very suddenly became so ill that i had to lay down right on the floor for a few minutes and started having verybad sweats and stomach pains and felt very quesy.what could that mean???!!i was sick and tired for two days.and i have used the florida water for similair use before with nothing bad like this.does it mean i have something bad on me or maybe the space,or could it be i misused or did something wrong?

Usually when people get ill after cleansings it is their bodies getting rid of spiritual toxins. I see it as the road to recovery. Not unlike how ill people feel after various medical treatments.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Howdy-
So I need to do a cleanse today (well, more like a freshening up!) cause the energy in the house is getting a wee bit stagnant and a little bit negative here and there. I am going to use Chinese Wash. After the cleanse I wanted to bless the house and realized the only oils I have are 'fiery wall of protection' and 'wealthy way'. Would it be fine to use my 'Money House Blessing' incense in place of an oil? Meaning, just burn the incense with prayers, with a lit candle? This is what occured to me, so I figured it was ok, but wanted to check.
I would prefer to use van van, and I do have a small anointing bottle coming with a lucky rabbits foot-but if that doesn't get here in time today (I need to get this cleansing done, I really feel that way about it) would it be alright to just incense the place up and pray? I would prefer the peaceful home oil-but won't have the means to get that for a while, so I need to use what I have, which is currently a lot of incenses and sachets.
Oh! I also have Florida Water.
Thanks for any feedback.

You can totally burn Money House Blessing-I would burn a bit in each room after I had finished with that room.
Money House Blessing combines ingredients for both blessing your home and ushering in prosperity-so its a good choice!
Blessings,
Bri

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Hi there, I am preparing to do a house and self cleanse. I am going to wash my house with Chinese wash and then some van van. Then I need to do myself with some uncrossing bath salts. My question is do I cleanse my house first and then myself or the other way around? Or should I do myself, house and myself again. I have some negative energies and blocks I need to get rid of so I am doing a spiritual "spring cleaning" type for the house and myself.

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Hello,
I'm new to Hoodoo and new to this forum. I looked across the boards and didn't see anything that answers my question; if I'm repeating something that has already been asked, I'm quite sorry.
Here's my situation. My AIRR rootworker said that I need to do 13 days of the 13 day bath, and then some other things to clear a crossed condition and make way for fortunate changes. Among those things he suggested was a blessing.
Do spells aimed at drawing in fortune, such as those for money or all-around goodness count as blessing, or is it appropriate to have a regular Blessing spell prior to further work, after Road Opener? Do you think that using the oil on candles, etc. could count as blessing, or would that be its own separate thing?
Is this something that should be discussed/decided between my worker and I, or can anyone give me insight so I don't have to ask him?
Thanks in advance!

I just thought of one more question, can I scrub my house over a week? I want to be very thorough in my cleaning but I can't do it in a day. I am thinking a room or two per day

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Doing positive works can be a blessing in themselves. The way I do cleansing is to cleanse then to empower myself by anoiting with Blessing, John the Conqueror or Van Van which is my of restoring power to myself or the client. Then I go about my drawing work. This isn't necessary as it is quite traditional to cleanse then follow up with drawing. In fact this is how house cleansing is usually done.

Hello Conjureman Ali,
Thank you for your kind reply. This does help quite a bit.
When you say "doing positive works", do you mean getting out and volunteering, being a positive person, uplifting others, etc., or is it more of a spiritual issue?
Thank you again,
VF

As far as Cleansing and protection goes, if get a triple strengh Wall of Fiery Protection mojo bag for protection, would I still need to take baths with protection bath crystals or Four Theives vinegar etc. on all the days I perform break-up work? And would it also still be necessary to use the Wall of Fiery Protection Kit after I'm done with the break-up spell?

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Hello, I was wondering what is the best spell for me to do to improve all aspects of my life.
I have always had the worst luck in the world and still do. I would like to do some kind of spell to help me to get a job, and just to change my luck all together.
I know there are a lot of spells on the LM wesite but I can only afford to buy one. I did the uncrossing spell about a year ago, but I assume I may need to do it again.
I don not know why things are always bad for me. I am a good person. As far as my career goes I graduated with honours, but still have problems getting a job, because I have to pass a test given by the company before I can be hired. Also I need experience which I do not have because I am a new graduate.
I keep thinking maybe if I stop being nice then I will have better luck because people who are evil don't seem to have the problems that I have. However, I cannot do that because it is not my nature and I also have children who are young and impressionable.
I would just like to have something positive happen to me for once.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Despite my situation I am very optimistic. I think that once you are alive anything is possible.
Thanks everyone

You say you did an Uncrossing spell, did you clean your house too? Sometimes even when we uncross ourselves there can be negative energy left in your living space.
My suggestion is to get a Van Van Spell kit, which contains everything you need to spiritually cleanse yourself and open up your roads. It also contains Chinese Wash, which you can use to wash down your home and get yourself off on a good start:

Good luck,

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
I think what Mary Bee said is so wise and I wish I'd paid attention to the importance of that months ago--I did everything backwards! I started by doing work for my situation, with a little success, then I did a cleansing, and things started going even better. But when I really took time to spiritually/physically cleanse my whole house of the past negativity and I committed to that as part of a routine Cleanse & Bless, I've felt all sorts of ways opening. I'm new too, so I think we newbies have to start with the basics of "getting your house in order" ritually, living space and body, and from that the roads of communication open up more easily from and to us to add that extra energy to our spellwork. Or at least that's how it seems to be happening with me. I wish you the best!

A thorough cleansing is the best way to start anything.
http://www.luckymojo.com/vinasonschandancones.html and a prayer to Ganesh is not a bad start along with that Van-Van Spell kit suggested by MaryBee.
Use http://www.luckymojo.com/ammonia.html and http://www.luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html for the floor wash.
Good Luck!

Re: Spells for Blessing and Cleansing the Home and Person
Yes, cleansing and protection are the two essential spiritual tasks that everybody neglects at some point.
If your health and stamina don't permit you to do a thorough spiritual-and-physical house-cleaning, then dose your "normal" cleaning supplies with Uncrossing, Cast Off Evil or whatever you like from Lucky Mojo's fine spiritual cleansing supplies. Pray over them, too. Then hand them over to some vigorous able-bodied person to clean your house with. You'll pay them fairly, of course -- with cash which you have blessed with Attraction or Influence products. Maybe even some Fast Luck or Blessing, because happy people are more inclined to be good to you.
Then you can protect your house with any (or several!) of the protective spells and charms listed on this page:
Hope this helps,
