Without conducting any sort of reading on your situation, MoonSunStar, my intuition says you probably ought to do more work to ensure a better outcome. You said you burned 2 candles, one for you & one for your sister--was this third red candle for the same purpose?

I personally haven't ever experienced a burn like that. Make a note to yourself about the wick, observe the outcome of the spellwork, and that could be an indicator for you in the future.

Lucky Mojo oil is just an all around lucky, good-luck-bringing oil it sounds like. I've never used it, but I would think it good for any luck-related purpose: gambling, love-luck, etc.

Neverminding the fact that honey doesn't shake very well (teehee)--I still shake & speak to bottle spells when I work them. I feel that it help focus my energy to a laser-point, and really keeps the work going well.
