Biggie Smalls grew up in the
notoriously tough neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant
in Brooklyn.

Interestingly,
another song of his ( 'Kick in the Door') uses as it's main riff a
sample from the first 4 or so seconds of Scremin Jay ...
