Re: Spells and Prayers for Health of Ill, Injured, or Aged Pets
They said it could be a spinal injury, possible nerve damage and would require an exam and xray for $65. Then possible cortizone shots for 2-4 weeks at $10 a pop. But in the meantime they said I could give him one low dose aspirin per day which I did for a while. I was starting to put money aside ...

Re: Spells and Prayers for Health of Ill, Injured, or Aged Pets
Thank so much for your input, I truly appreciate it. I guess I wasn't as scatterbrained as I thought as I have been doing some of these things without having read through your great replies. But I will keep at it and follow your advice. My boy is doing better. He still doesn't have full control over ...

Re: Spells and Prayers for Health of Ill, Injured, or Aged Pets
Okay, first the details. I've been doing magic stuff for over ten years and doing hoodoo for about half that time. So, I'm not a beginner but not an expert either. Here's the deal: one of my dogs is hurt (and will be going to the vet tomorrow if I can get him in). I'm wanting to do some magic to ...

Re: Candle Reading Pyromancy Ceromancy Capnomancy Flame Wick Wax Smoke Glass Remains Divination Questions and Answers
Signs of any kind, be they related to a specific magical working, or a larger life lesson, etc., are a tricky thing to nail down. As said above, don't obsess over it; that's very good advice. Personally, I intuitively know something is a sign if it suddenly strikes me as unique and meaningful ...

I might have to try that. I've never done the podcast thing as I've never had the internet speed for it but I recently got a slight upgrade so maybe now I could try that.

I'm sure the person who posted that was not intentionally meaning any insult, implied or otherwise.
Yeah, I know. It's just a symptom of the larger problem. So, no worries.

Re: Hello from Iowa!
I don't know any other Iowa Pagans who practice hoodoo, it's really something different around here.
I'm in the same boat in these hills. I have one pagan friend who knows a little about hoodoo and there's one Voodoo lady who knows a lot about it but neither of them practice. I think I'm the only ...

Oh yeah, I'm allergic to cedar and didn't know it until I woke up one morning covered in a red rash!As with all products, though, patch test to make sure you're not allergic to any of the herbs in the oils.

Re: Altar Tools Religious Goods Sacred Images Questions and Answers
Hi Michelle
I do not know if mental illnesses are carried beyond into the spirit world -- I certainly hope not! I like to think once we pass we are freed from our bodily/earthly afflictions.
That's primarily what I was wondering about. I've always kinda thought that once free of this fleshy ...

Re: Altar Tools Religious Goods Sacred Images Questions and Answers
Be careful about putting murderers, child molesters, people with mental disorders, etc. on your altar.
I can understand the murderers and child molesters part but what's the reasoning behind worrying over those with mental disorders on your altar(s)?
I ask because my maternal grandmother was ...

Re: Howdy from the Ozarks!
You know, I'd forgotten they existed until you reminded me. I seem to remember seeing one when I was heading down to Pineville (extreme, extreme southwest MO) but that was nearly ten years ago and they were clear bottles. I asked my mom, who is the only member of her family not born in Arkansas, and ...

NotDorianGray,
you are so right! ...Especially about the "who you live with" and "what kind of energy you're drawing in". Even once the bad people you lived with are gone there's still so much residual negative energy, feelings, etc., that it takes some serious work to free oneself, family and ...

Howdy from the Ozarks!
Hey my new soon-to-be-friends! I found out about the new forums through the Lucky Mojo Facebook posting so, here I am! I actually got really burned out on forums some time ago but the prospect of a forum all about hoodoo has drawn me back in! A little about me: I'm 32 and have been practicing hoodoo ...
