i want to try to get my parents/family to get along with my daughters father, is there anything i can do or prepare so they can give him a second chance to come into my home?

i been using baby jars to fill it with honey and sugar, i was told that writing your love ones name and putting it in the jar would take effect better, can it be true? if so how can i make it to take effect more?
