I packed a skull candle with picture of my lover & I, petition, etc.

1) The picture ended up burning only the side he was on. I did not take as a bad sign but was the picture suppose to get burned as well?

2) Wax then burned and and what was left was remaining perfectly flat no flows or anything ...
