Re: How to Use Vinegar Jars Questions and Answers

Thanks aura, but I already did it the way I said I would. I'll bear your advice in mind for the future though.

Re: How to Use Vinegar Jars Questions and Answers

Hi, is it okay to have more than one petition paper in a single vinegar jar? I was thinking about one paper for the target, and another paper with the same targets name crossed over the name of another individual to sour their relationship.

With name papers, is it just the full name of the target ...

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers

Sorry for repeating myself, but I would still be interested to know what to do about my possibly ill-advised honeyjar. Could I still get away with disposing with it in the same manner that I would for a jar placed on someone else? I was thinking about simply dismantling it completely and disposing ...

Re: Hyssop Herb and Hyssop Bath Questions and Answers

No offense taken. I hope my use of the term "throwback" was not taken the wrong way, it was not meant to be derogatory. I'm not trying to change hoodoo tradition or criticize hoodoo practice, I just wanted to know if I could get away with not having to hunt for a crossroads at the break of dawn.

I ...

Re: Hyssop Herb and Hyssop Bath Questions and Answers

I know it's traditional to dispose of the water at a crossroads, but is it strictly necessary? I can't help thinking that it might just be a throwback to a time when people bathed in a tub in front of a fire, which they could pick up and throw out in the backyard afterwards. Nowadays we have ...

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers

Hello, this might sound daft, but a few months ago I decided to do a honeyjar on myself, inspired by this blog post: http://hoodoocrossroads.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/go-love-yourself/

Unfortunately, life got in the way and I haven't been able to keep up lighting candles on this jar on a long-term ...

Re: Crown of Success Vigil Candle Questions and Answers

The Swedish king Frey IS the Norse God "Freyr". You are using an old Icelandic spelling while I am using Swedish contemporary spelling.

I thought as much, it's been a while since I've read up on this.

Many old kings, warriors, sorceresses, prophets etc. become "Gods" once they die. Traditional ...

Re: Crown of Success Vigil Candle Questions and Answers

I could do, but I already have the oils and the candles, so I might as well just use them.

Since the name you carry is that of a quite famous Swedish king from the old days, I suggest you might add a little something to him as well. Wearing his name AND "crown" at winter solstice is quite far from ...

Re: Crown of Success Vigil Candle Questions and Answers

Brilliant, thanks Dr Johannes.

I like the idea of doing it in a series of runs, repeated every new moon. There is a new moon on Christmas Eve this year, which would be great for the added Winter Solstice symbolism. I think this would be a good time to start. Thanks.

Re: Crown of Success Vigil Candle Questions and Answers

I recently listened to an old Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour show in which Cat instructs a caller to create an altar devoted to bringing the career success they desire into their life (I think it was a Halloween special from a while ago). However, I'm a bit hazy on the details, so I wondered if ...

Re: Hindu Deities Spiritual Supplies Questions and Answers

Thanks for the advice, Devi, that clears up a lot of things for me.

I guess I'm looking for a puja adapted for western use, as I don't really have the time or space for ...

Re: Spells to Bless Person Pet Object Home Farm Apartment Office Shop Environment Natural World

Hi aura,

thanks for the reply, that was helpful. My Chinese Wash delivery actually came through on Saturday. I filled a spray bottle with warm water and mixed in the Chinese Wash and sprayed the carpets after tidying and dusting the place. I'm not sure if I was to do this in a more ritualistic or ...

Re: Spells to Bless Person Pet Object Home Farm Apartment Office Shop Environment Natural World

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Thanks for clarifying. I will have a go at this for seven days in that case. I'll keep you posted.

You can put the bed under our bed in a bowl or plate.

You mean put the egg under my bed? Either way, I think I'm going to hunt for an airtight container to put the egg in. I'm not spending a week ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Thanks, that clears a few things up. My only concern is what I'm going to do with the egg during the days when I am supposed to leave it. I suppose I'll have to keep it in a well-sealed box of some kind, as the last thing I need is an egg going bad in my room (I only have one room to myself, so ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Sorry to bump this again - more questions!

I am currently burning a candle on a small altar to St. Dymphna. If I start working with Dr. Hernandez will I need a second altar? or would I at least need a second candle, possibly with a second petition paper? And would a blue candle be okay?

Also ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

It sounds like you need to see a psychologist, or a therapist.

I'm looking into it right now actually.

you are prescribed the meds for a reason and it can take months for them to start working effectively, but when you are taking them when you feel like it and so on then you will not see the ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Looks like I spoke too soon - my second day back at work and I had another panic attack just before end of shift. I managed to take myself off the meds last week when I was off, but it looks like I'm going to have to go back on them. I thought I had it under control. Is it too soon to consider my ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Hello again, sorry for bumping an old thread, but I have a few more questions.

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

I might leave petitioning St. Expedite for now - I just wanted to hurry up my physical and mental recovery, rather than get a treatment quickly.

For now I will simply petition St. Dymphna daily over my week off. I'll stick with a card-mounted print-out for now until I can find something better. I ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Thanks for the reply, Obskultus. That clears things up. However, I have a couple more questions about the Saints.

First, is Expedite the right Saint for health issues? After reading his page he seems to be more about money and issues that involve procrastination and problem-solving.

And how might ...

Re: Spells For Mental Health Anxiety Panic Insomnia PTSD OCD ADHD Depression Bipolar Schizophrenia Dementia

Hello, thanks for reading. For the past three months I've been suffering from anxiety, which seemed to be triggered by a weight-training injury I had. Re: Dream Work and Dream Interpretations Questions and Answers

I asked God for guidance on what I should do to help with some work I've been doing & my answer came in the form of a dream of a text from my target. They were saying there were so many blocks in my way & that I wasn't addressing them. They then said that my spellwork would take more than just ...

Re: Fast Luck Mojo Hand Questions & Answers

I'm planning a weekly ritual that combines candle magic with feeding a mojo hand.

Hello

Hello, I'm from the UK and I've lurked on this board for too long, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I have a background in witchcraft since my teens, and I've been experimenting with magic well into my twenties. I like the hoodoo approach because of it's physical, down to earth nature, and the way ...
