Lets say one does a breakup spell (candle), is it ok to contact the target (guy) text message, phone call. Or should one forget about it and see what happens?

Oh one more thing, when I disposed of the remains (in running water) I had to briefly glance over my shoulder for oncoming traffic so i wouldn't get hit by a car, that doesn't count as looking back does it?
