I can't say enough about this book either. I love that it's concise and written with miss cat's straightforward language and dry wit, making it a pleasant read, and not a dry list of herbs and their uses

Re: Spells to Calm and / or to Train a Dog
After a little research, I found that Saint Rocco (Saint Roch) is the patron saint of dogs, and Saint Gertrude of Nivelles is the patron saint of cats, if you'd like to get specific. It's said that when Saint Rocco contracted the plague and went into the forest to die, a dog brought him food and lic...

Re: Crossroads and Crossroads Ritual: Questions and Answers
The feeling I get, and I'm not an expert by any means, is that it's where two roads that people travel over cross. So when you toss the remains from an enemy work spell, the negativity is carried away a little at a time.

Re: Dowsing Pendulum Divining Rods Water Witching Radiesthesia Questions and Answers
Thanks Discordia, I was trying to remember the scientific term for involuntary muscle movements. I know I've heard the same thing about Ouija boards, which is offered as an explanation for why you get gibberish if you blindfold yourself using them. I have had my pendulum give me answers I didn't lik...

Re: Can Spells Back-Fire, Blow Back, Reverse On Me, or Harm Me?
I've had the same thing happen, the unexpected results. I did a Follow Me Boy candle, but instead of 'following' me it ruined his nature for other women, which might be seen as a success but he had all the insight of a mud puddle. Turns out later he's a royal jerk, and I got rid of him because I cou...

Re: Spells to Calm and / or to Train a Dog
Thank you as always, Discordia, and SouthernGirl, that's a good idea, especially if you have a breed that's tough to find dolls for. I'd think the canvas would stand up better to anointing or feeding with oils or colognes.

Would using a plush doll representing the breed work? I was thinking of just opening at the seam and stuffing it with herbs since I'm a terrible seamstress.

I've used chunks that were on the bottom of the roll when I was almost out of charcoal, and they worked pretty well. As far as an actual powder, I'm not sure that would work, since what you're actually burning on is the glowing coals. I think getting charcoal lit is an almost universal pain in the b...

I usually have to pick mine up with a pair of tongs, then move the flame around until I have a couple of sides going. After that it's a matter of setting it in the burner and gently blowing on it to get the whole pellet glowing.

I've had very good luck with Follow Me Boy to spice up sex. It makes the gentleman agreeable to what I want, and even more eager. I anoint myself with the oil while asking for great sex, and always put the bath crystal in the rinse water when laundering my 'delicates'.

I'm glad you didn't take offense, and I admit shouldn't have said anything about the herbal remedies since I've been blessed with dogs that love to travel and don't flinch during the 4th of July, so I haven't used them. I absolutely agree with the exercise, the best 'trank' for my GSD is the tennis ...

As much as I hate to disagree with everyone here, I would be very hesitant to sedate a puppy, even with herbal supplements. It wasn't the amount I'd asked St. Expedite for, because I wasn't comfortable asking her for that much money (for the record, I'd asked St. Expedite for $500 and she offered me $200). So are you saying you could have had more than the $200 but were uncomfortable asking for it? If St Expedite gave y...

I definitely feel for you Sharona, and you might want to consider that paw injuries can take a while, just like human ankle injuries, simply because you can't stay off your feet ALL the time. It seems even the laziest dog just HAS to get up and run around the minute they're supposed to stay still

Re: Hot Foot to Drive Away Rivals, Enemies, Bad Relatives
The first thing that pops into my mind is...leave the dog alone. Maybe this is just me, being an animal lover, but that seems just a step below Hot-Footing a toddler because it's a brat, instead of looking at the parent as the problem. After all, if the dog runs away, where do you think it will end ...

One thing I'd like to toss in, not from a spellwork sense, but more agreeing with Discordia, is though it can be very difficult, you definitely want to pursue this from the mundane end as well.
