Re: Candles: Trim, Carve, Load, Petition, Pray, Dress, Light
There are many ways to work spells and since your question is very general in nature, i can best answer it in generalities. Some candles only burn an hour, others burn for 5 days or more. You cannot stay away praying or working the spell for 5 days. Most people spend at least 15 minutes on the spell...

The spiritual sopas are generally used in between more full-fledged rites of bathing or cleansing. You do not generally take bathwater to the crossroads or into the yard when simply "carrying the good work on" with a spiritual soap.

Whoa. You "know" that you have to rub the candle with Rosemary oil and urine every day? Re: Sampson Snake Root Echinacea Questions and Answers
All parts of the Echinacea plant are medically active. In hoodoo, the root is considered the more magically active portion. Our propensity to favour roots is what has earned African American conjure the regional name of "root work." -- that is, magic and medicine in which roots are notably used in p...

Re: Candle Divination: Flame, Wick, Wax, Glass, Remains
You can find those signs -- and more -- in my "Divination Signs from Candle-Burning" page, which is a portion of my online book "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice." Rather than copy the page here, allow me to direct you to it:

Re: Candle Divination: Flame, Wick, Wax, Glass, Remains
Hello -- i cannot be responsible for what you have read elsewhere, but i will tell you what i was taught and how i work. First: Always check for a physical reason for erratic flame behaviour -- a draft or breeze, for instance. There's no use getting worked up about a "sign" that could be changd or e...

Re: Bible Verses Psalms Prayer Scripture Questions and Answers
Psalms 32 is indeed a good portion to read over pink candles dressed with Reconciliation oil when one feels that a friendship or love break may have arisen in part due to one's own headstrong or "mulish" actions. Here is the complete text. As you read it, realize that verses 1 through 7 are as spoke...

Re: Weight Loss With Cleansing Egg
How often can this be done? Daily. Is there any particular time like pre-dawn or something to do this? I would do it at dawn, myself, before dressing. Having a cleansing bath after or before this? Or using salt to wash off hands once the egg is thrown out? I would bathe first, then roll the egg whi...

Re: A Red Lovers Candle or Red Nude Adam Candle?
The choice of which candle to use is never a matter of which is "better" or "stronger." What is wanted is a candle that embodies the closest symbolism to the desired outcome of the work, and also -- at the same time -- the candle that is most useful according to the form of one's spellcasting. A red...

Re: General Spell Kits Information Questions and Answers
If i understand you correctly - spell kit is works no matter if the practitioner is novice or expert - it makes no difference? No, you do not understand me correcrty. I did not say that a spell kit -- or any spell of any kind "works no matter if the practitioner is novice or expert." The reasons th...

Re: Ethics: Moral Justification Before God, "Black Magic," Karma
Dear lady_sakura, If you believe that magic is harmful, you simply should stop studying it or practicing it. It is not a universal path, and no one is forcing you to walk it. General theories about how magic works will differ depending on the cultural beliefs and experiences of whoever answers your ...

Re: Are the Edibles Edible?
That is a good question, especially concerning Rose petals and florists. Everything that we do grow here at Lucky Mojo is gardened organically (Rose petals included) -- but we cannot grow everything we stock. Of the herbs we pruchase, you will find three types: certified organic, wildcrafted (no pes...

Re: Any Weight Loss Spells?
What Bri said is true: medical conditions MUST be treated by a doctor. That being said, i have known folks who told me that while they were engaged in a program of exercise and calorie reduction, they felt that they had good spiritual results from the old trick in which you perform a cleansing with ...
