...and make sure to gently blow out the big flame that starts it...you want to gently ignite the incense, then let it smolder on its own...not burn with a towering flame, as can sometimes happen.

I just have to say that you will notice the difference if you burn resins, (esp. frank, myrrh, etc) on anything other than charcoal.
