Re: Altars: Questions and Answers
My personal advice: I use the tops of two different dressers -- one dresser for the blessings and one for the enemy work. (I don't want the energies to blend or to mix up in my own mind.)

Is the glass clear? (No soot smudges or wax clinging to the inside surfaces)
Did the candle burn too quickly? (You need to know the normal amount of time a candle takes to burn, comes with experience.)
If the answer is a yes and a no, then you are good to go!

Re: Crossing Candle and Protection
What I ideally want is for this man's fortunes to fail until such time as the various wrong doings are put right. The more money this company acquires, the easier it is for them to dodge the law. For my own building, I would like his latest structure (which is illegal and directly affecting our bui...

Re: Candles: Trim, Carve, Load, Petition, Pray, Dress, Light
Does it matter if i leave the lights on or off when I do the [Reconciliation] spell? LOL...Good Question! This is what I do (Just my thing, do what you feel comfortable with): Parts with lights on: setting up the space, cleansing candles and equipment, gathering the needed supplies, etc... Parts wi...

Re: Candles: Trim, Carve, Load, Petition, Pray, Dress, Light
I have read that it is important to cleanse your candles before use in rituals. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good way to do this. I wipe them down lightly with Florida Water but sometimes notice it causes the candle to pop when I first light it, I know it is very flammable. I appreciate a...

Yes, everyone is entitle to their opinion. Yes, You can do anything you want to do in your spells. "So I believe it could be substituted in a few places but not for any color like you claim." Fine. Believe what you like. Just remember when you teach something or when you pass off advice, then you ne...

Re: Crossing Candle and Protection
Hi, I would like to have a crossing glass vigil candle burnt for me. To cross a man/building company which engages in sharp practice and wrongdoing in my area. My building is currently blighted by his latest effort in the neighbourhood. What protection should I have for myself? Which candle would y...

Re: Mojo Bag, Conjure Hand, Toby, Gree-Gree Questions & Answers
When I sleep w/ a mojo under my pillow I tend to knock it off durring the night.
I learned to actually put it in my pillow, i.e. slipping in in my pillow case.
You can also put it under your mattress.
As far as putting it away, I wrap mine in a hankerchief and put in my dresser.

Re: Candle Choices: Shapes & Forms, Colours, Wax Types, Safety
Really now? Can't really see crossing someone with a white candle lol. While I suppose that you could use white for most spells its very much traditional in hoodoo to use color symbolism, thus we would use red for love or lust work, black for enemy work, or as the original poster plans on use purpl...

White candles can be substituted for any other color candle in a spell.
