How is peppermint used for safe travels?

Hi jwmcclin,
Peppermint may be used as an ingredient in a mojo hand for safe travel, or in a spiritual bath for protection while traveling (peppermint is a good herb to use in protection work and protection baths, generally). Peppermint also makes an excellent tea (which both retains its protective spiritual effects when ingested, and may be used to counteract the effects of spending excessive time in the company of the dead and dying), and is a good, non-obtrusive choice of spiritually active ingredients to carry with one while traveling.
Hope this helps!

You might notice peppermint gives more color to water than the average herb -- so even a modest amount steeped in a bath will turn the whole bath golden-color. This possibly aids in a spiritual bath because you can see yourself in water that has changed even physically in color. And gold-yellow is a pretty color that looks positive to the eye.
Peppermint & Watermint are one of my favorites, I like mint everything, from mint icecream to mint shampoo. Since Peppermint's active compounds bind to the receptors in our skin that are responsible for cool & cold feelings (like pepper binds to heat receptors) this means in rootwork peppermint has the spiritual essence of cooling, calming, uncrossing because heat/hell is one of the symbols in crossing... that sort of thing.

Peppermint makes a great head wash for mental clarity. It can cool off even the hottest-headed
And as a wonderful digestive aid (for pregnancy heartburn right now...), it can be used both as a tea and as a tepid bath to help soothe nausea, indigestion, heartburn and even hangover. Great stuff!
As a protective herb, it combines nicely with ginger for both internal and external use.

Yeah, as far as i understand Peppermint is a hybrid offspring of Watermint & Spearmint. The reason i said i like peppermint & watermint is that those have a really cool clean essence and there is something a little funky about spearmint, at least to me. Of course im speaking in terms of taste if used internally. Spearmint is a great herb for bags & etc.

I have incorporated using Mint in a few workings as of late and have been very happy with it. Glad I decided to look further into the family of Mint.

I've found that people tend to either prefer peppermint or spearmint. Like there is a natural internal connection or something. When starting out a relationship with mint its a good idea to try different types of mint and see which one resonates the best with you. (I prefer peppermint.)

Can someone tell me what are some other uses of mint in hoodoo? I know it is often used for safe travels but I heard communication/getting people talking could be another use?
