Angelica Root Questions and Answers

Hello -

I am planning out a Blessing Ritual for a Male friend who has PTSD and severe depression. I am leaning towards using Angelica root, Although it seems to be mostly a female associated root.
I really like the Angel / St Michael Connection to the root and it "feels right"

Should I go forward with that - or maybe find a way to "masculine-ize" the Angelica? Use another "male" root as well, bind them together?
Although He is a somewhat feminine person. He feels as though his soul is gone. He used that phrase exactly. Like Susto, perhaps, although I am working with Hoodoo to help him.

Perhaps I am over thinking this?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

If Angelica feels right, then use it. A simple pendulum divination should be able to confirm (or eliminate) your choice.

Question about adding another oil on Angelica Root

Posted: Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:23 am
by Miss Tammie Lee
I am going to give a LM Angelica root dressed with LM FieryWall Oil for protection and power to the most important lady in my life for protection on a business trip from some vipers she works with, AND so she can have it in the next for a new endeavor she is trying to enter into that will involve a selection process. Not everyone likes this great lady because they mistake her passion for errogance. She helps people for a living and some of her colleagues are even jealous of the professional alliances she has made. She is well respected but not necessarily well liked. My question is this, could I dress the Angelica root with another oil as well, something that will ensure success and also sweeten others to her? A LM Honey Jar is currently being utilized with a LM Boss fix kit. (this has helped and shown progress).
Thanks in advance for your advice.

The fixed angelica root is a wonderful idea. However I would not try and use that same root for success and to be well liked. I would instead fix a Queen Elisabeth root for her, which is another root for female power. Infact you could make her a very powerful mojo based on those two roots, I would want a High John in there as well, and probably some gravel root.

Thanks.

Hi, i am planning to make a mojo bag enhancing woman empowerment steady work. And if happen that i have any leftovers i would like to make a love mojo to attract a guy which i kind of admire.

Hi Polarbear,

Thank you for the clarification. If you are making a mojo hand, you don't need to dress the Queen Elizabeth root with Angelica. Just add those two ingredients to your bag, plus other items for steady work such as Gravel Root (carry that with you when you go on interviews).

http://herb-magic.com/gravel-root.html

You can add other love drawing ingredients such as Catnip, Damiana and Cherry Bark when you construct a separate mojo for love, and add any leftover Queen Elizabeth Root to help draw him in. I have personally had very good luck with this combination.

The angelica root i bought has a small hole through the narrow end. Was this accidental, or purposeful. Was it made for hanging from a chain or string?

Hi, Desert Lavender ---

The folks who dry them often hang them this way -- from a thread or string -- and them pull them off when dry.

Funny story: I was listening to an archived LMRH and someone mentioned that Queen Elizabeth Roots make good pendulums. I thought to myself, "I have one of those on my ancestor altar! The root was agreeable to working as a pendulum, I named her Elizabeth, attached a red thread, placed her in a red flannel bag and I keep her on my person almost all the time. I feed her Queen Elizabeth Root powder each week and she's proven to be a highly responsive and reliable pendulum.

Why am I posting this in the the Angelica Root forum? Because I just discovered that "Lizzy" is an Angelica Root! Doh! She doesn't seem to mind the identity mixup, but has also indicated "No" when held over the Queen Elizabeth Root powder and asked if she'd like some.

What other powders/oils/alcohols might an Angelica Root enjoy and be empowered for divination by?

Greatmother --

What a funny story!

Angelica is related to the following plants which also produce essential oils which we carry in the shop: anise, coriander, lovage.

As far as magical herbs go, it is related to angelica, anise, asafoetida, caraway, celery, coriander, cumin, dill, fennel, lovage, parsley, and sea holly,

Perhaps the wrong place for this but it's the only spot I've seen this particular mojo mentioned.

I'm considering replacing one of them with ginseng. Are there specific dynamics at play where this would be an issue? Does that seem appropriate? I realize if it works it works but if I can benefit from the more experienced workers feedback I'd like to. Thx!

AlexanderSlatonKaval,

If you replace an item it can change the effects, if it makes sense then yes, but make sure you understand why the original root was included, and what it means when it is not included. For an example moving Angelic root which is known for being a powerful protection, replacing it with another herb that does not protect would not make much sense.
