Blessings and Merry Meet to All,
I am an African American solitary Witch who is a practitioner of Stregheria and Druidry. I come from a growing up Methodist in a family A.M.E church and as an adult practiced Islam for thirteen years before going through the traumatic spiritual shift that brought me to Paganism and the practice of witchcraft. I have very strong Native American ancestry as well as Italian on my father's side. There has been an interest in Hoodoo and rootwork for a while, but because there is sooo much on the internet I didn't know who to trust or where to start. Everything happens for a reason when it's supposed to and that's when I was referred to this site from another site. I looked at the requirements for the Hoodoo course and will begin to follow the steps to hopefully be able to become a student. My desire to learn Hoodoo and become a practitioner I feel will also lead to some answers and resolutions to my fear of the spirit world due to a very bad experience I had with a Ouija board when I was a junior in high school. This has left me scarred and still slightly fearful that anything from the spirit world is bad and out to hurt me. I'm also very sensitive to the spirit realm and I feel that Hoodoo contains the hidden answers to my past as well as to connect to my heritage. Blessings to everyone!
