Hello everyone, I'm excited to find this online community.
I've been searching on and off for a number of years for a spiritual path to explore and I'm drawn to Hoodoo because of its multicultural roots. As an African American and a history lover I often felt on the outside of traditional Christian beliefs; and even though I've never abandoned them I feel I'd be disrespecting my ancestors if I solely practiced Christianity without knowledge of the traditions it has replaced.
I'll be spending the next year reading and studying the basics of Hoodoo (any assistance would be appreciated). I love working with herbs for therapeutic and medicinal purposes. I hope to attend the Festival in 2016 to get some hands on experience and meet all you lovely people.
Thanks for reading
