PART 1: CLEANSING BATH AND TEA

This is a cleansing bath and Hyssop tea to break the chains of bondage, done for 3 days during a Waning Moon ending on the Dark Moon, or starting on a Sunday Waning Moon and ending on a Tuesday Waning Moon.

Items Needed:

a. 1 Black-and-white candle turned with the black on top: To overcome negativity

b. Eucalyptus: To cast off evil and put a stop to personal weakness

c. Hyssop: To kill jinxes and for cleansing

d. Boneset: To get rid of enemy tricks and fear affecting your health

e. Hyssop Tea:
-- Simmer 1 tsp. of Hyssop in water;
-- Add Lemon juice from a fresh Lemon and honey to sweeten.
f. Lucky Mojo Fiery Wall of Protection Oil

g. Lotion of your choice

Instructions:

Light your black-and-white candle on your personal altar with your petition under it. Create an herbal bath with Eucalyptus, Hyssop, and Boneset. Simmer on stove with at least 9 cups of water to last 3 days. You will use 3 cups in your bath water each day. As you are bathing, sip on your Hyssop tea and relax as you are meditating on all the negativity brought on by the spirit of fear being washed away. You can meditate on the following words: A combination of 2 Timothy 1:7 and Psalms 51:10

-- "God did not give me the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. I command the spirit of fear to release me and I strip you of all your power. I cast you into the abyss never to return to me again. Lord I thank you for deliverance. Purge me with Hyssop, wash me and make me clean. Create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit within me. Lord I thank you for deliverance."

After your bath, air dry, then lotion your body with the lotion of your choice, loaded with Lucky Mojo Fiery Wall of Protection Oil.

Don’t forget to toss a bit of the water towards the Sunset (West), which is the direction used when you are getting rid of something.

Snuff out your candle and re-light it each night. After the 3rd bath, burn your petition with the candle flame, and blow the ashes to the 4 winds counter-clockwise (N, W, S, E), and let the candle burn all the way until finished.

Note: Be sure to do your research prior to ingesting any herbal teas.

Part 2: POWER UP BATH FOR COURAGE AND SUCCESS

This bath is done during a Waxing Moon, preferably 8 days prior to the Full Moon and ending on the Full Moon, or starting on a Waxing Moon Sunday and ending on a Waxing Moon Sunday.

Instructions:

On your personal altar, light your purple vigil candle with your new power petition underneath.

Simmer your roots and herbs on the stove to make your tea for a 1 gallon bath. Be sure to label the container ("Spiritual bath do not drink!") and keep it in the refrigerator for 8 days.

Pour the concoction into your bubble bath and get in and meditate on the following: [A combination of Ephesians 6:10 and Nehemiah 8:10 (and Lady Muse 1:1!)]

-- "I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! The joy of the Lord is my strength! Lord, I thank you for your mercy and I thank you for your strength and peace. I thank you for your hand of protection. Success is my destiny! I am EMPOWERED!"

After you air dry and lotion up with your 2nd lotion loaded with Lucky Mojo Crown of Success Oil, Power Oil, and Lavender Oil, toss the water toward the Sunrise (East), which is the direction when we are drawing things to us. Burn your petition with the candle flame, then blow the ashes to the 4 winds, going clockwise (N, E, S, W), and let the candle finish burning all the way out.

After this 2-part ritual you should feel revived and refreshed with a new attitude, and 'Ready to Step Off the Porch!' Enjoy!

Is there any acceptable substitute for eucalyptus in the bath? Unfortunately it is a migraine trigger for me and would likely send me to bed for a day or to urgent care.

There is no one "acceptable substitute" for a given herb, but there are may choices. To select one, you first need to ask yourself why the herb is in the spell in the first place. Here are some reasons:

1) Medical analogy: For instance, an herb that is antiviral, antibacterial, or insecticidal may find use in spells of protection or cleansing, while an herb that has psychotropic effects when it is burned and its fumes are inhaled may have used that are spiritually aligned with the psychotropic effect.

2) Scent: Some herbs have very little aroma, some are unpleasant to smell, and some are delightfully fragrant. It is common to use sweetly scented herbs, seeds, nuts, and flowers in love spells, to choose citrus and pine scents for cleansing, and to choose sharp, pungent, and acrid scents for spells of protection or cursing.

3) Regionality: For example, Sassafras and Aspand are highly popular in magic where they grow, but is less well known where it does not grow, while some plants that are used in commerce, especially in cooking, can be found all over the world and have uses in spell-casting wherever they are found.

4) Shape and Colour: Herbs, flowers, and roots in their natural state are quite varied in appearance, and the way they look may lead to suggestive ideas about their use in magic. For instance, all of the silvery-leafed Artemisias are identified with the Moon, and thus with night, and with dreams.

5) Habit of Growth: Some herbs grow upright, some twine and trail, while others are spiky and prickly. Those which twirl around other plants are naturally identified with spells of binding or capture, while those that are thorny seem to indicate the infliction of pain.

6) Lore and Legend: Some plants are used in spells based on the historical folklore that has grown up around them. For instance, the sorceresses of ancient Crete were said to be great seductresses of men, and to have fed them dishes which caused them to fall into a state of romantic thralldom. Hence Dittany of Crete, a sweet little wooly Oregano, is used in love-cookery to this day.

Now, understanding these ideas, let us consider why Eucalyptus was used in that spell. It is a natural insect repellant and has an extremely sharp but attractive scent, and its hard, sickle-shaped leaves, with their waxy bloom, look like gleaming knives. For this reason it is used to cut away and to protect against negativity and uncleanness.

To replace it, all you need to know is why it was employed and find a substitute that pleases you. I suggest a member of the Citrus family (Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Citron, or the like), as having a similar reputation and a sharp scent. Mint would also be indicated.

Should the baths be done in the morning before sunrise? Or any other time is acceptable for both these baths?

Is it needed to go to the crossroads to toss the bath water? Or i could toss it in said direction standing anywhere?

Hello Astrelia,

Traditionally, baths for drawing in what we want are done in the morning before sunrise, and baths to remove evil or negative energy would be done at night, so I would stick with that approach.

Go to the crossroads. Standing "anywhere" and tossing it is not a good substitution. Shortcuts like that are a fantastic way to undermine your own success, so why shortchange yourself? Stick with tradition.

It was not clear from the description of the spell if the timing of the baths are specific and important.
I will definitely follow your advice!
One more small clarification though: if I do the first three cleansing/uncrossing baths in the evening, when is it better to go to the crossroads to dump the water - right after the bath or the next morning before sunrise? I would like to do it right, the traditional way.

You can bathe after work but before sundown to remove things and go to the crossroads and return before dark.

On the other hand, many people perform ALL baths at down and only vary the direction they throw the water -- East to draw good, and West to remove bad.

Like any oral tradition, there is more than one way to do the work.

I know about bathing before sunrise and east/west rule. But i didnt know about sunset baths for removing things. Waking up early is a commitment for me, so sometimes i just want a bit different schedule.
It makes a lot of sense to do removal and cleansing work before sunset. I'll try this approach for a change!

This is very interesting. I was taught to throw both to the East at specific times. Would a cleanse or bitter bath be always thrown to the west?

Yes, I personally would throw anything I wanted removed to the west- cleansing and bitter baths included.

Sure glad to find this Step off the Porch spell. The thing that upsets me is when you only have half of the supplies. It takes so long for orders because of Covid-19 and because of Covid-19 I have a few friends that could use Step Off the Porch... any suggestions?

Hi, patricia --

It is not only manufacturing shops like Lucky Mojo that are having trouble keeping supplies in stock -- entire distribution centers and vendor warehouses are empty at this point due to the Covid-19 pandemic. My advice, order what you can where you can. We have all the items for this spell in stock today .. i just checked -- but when it comes to candles, be prepared to change sizes or colours, because there is a real candle shortage going on these days.

Hopefully things will return to normal soon.
