Hi all.

I want to work with st barbara, to remove some stubborn obstacles and get some luck in the gambling but I am not sure what to offer her, does anyone know what she likes?

Is Saint Barbara the same or similar to Santa Barbara Africana?

Saint Barbara was an early Christian saint and marty with a large following in many Christian Orthodox religions, although she has been removed from the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar.

She is also the ''face'' of Shango (Chango) in Santeria and Lukumì.

Santa Barbara Africana is not this Saint Barbara. Santa Barbara Africana commonly refers to the Black Madonna, or alternatively Our Lady of Czestochowa who are often used to represent the lwa Erzulie Danto.

All this said, please bear in mind that none of this has any bearing on hoodoo. This question is some-what off topic for the Lucky Mojo Forum which is intented to help you with the LM products available (like the Saint Barbara or Chango line of products).

I wasn't sure if that was one of the "specialties" that she works with. I have a great relationship with Saint Martha, and I've asked her to help me with this man but she told me no. Saint Martha told me that she wouldn't help me with this particular man because the better approach to getting him back wasn't through domination, but through a more gentle approach, so I took her word and sought out other gentle work, but I figured that in case I needed some intercession, I could ask Saint Barbara...I just wasn't sure if she governs love work and bringing back lovers.

I have no children with this man. But hopefully I can find someone to help me, as I haven't been able to find any other supporting information on Saint Barbara's hand in love matters. I was thinking of working with Saint Anthony if I could not work with Saint Barbara, to help me "find" our lost connection, and love. This is a man who was my first love (as well as me being his) back in 7th grade. we have grown up and have had our own lives after graduating from middle / junior high school but he had been searching for me for the past 23 years, carrying a torch for me. Now that I have literally fallen into his lap by finding him through other childhood school friends who were looking for me, we were trying to reconnect and hopefully at some point, rekindle our romance because the feelings never left. Then he went through some things and me, being who I am when I love someone, I was there for him but he shut me out. I understand that some folks do this but it made me feel rejected and when I told him so, he seemed to understand but then he did it again, so that was when I blew up at him. We haven't been right ever since.

Now he hardly talks to me and if he does, its brief. He also seems to stop talking to me altogether if he thinks another man is around me. He went through a period when he was (still is) married but the wife left him and got her own place shortly after they were wed, and she left him. They've been separated for 7 years and he has no contact with her, no children with her, but I believe he is holding on...not so much to her, but out of the fact that he doesn't want to face the finality of the failed marriage...also, I think he's still hurting over it. He's had other relationships since then and even one before he found me where he grew unhappy with the girl because while they have been living together, their living situation worsened when she didn't want to find a job.

Since I can't afford a reading from an objective point of view at the moment, I've been doing them myself, and through the use of various decks that I own, they'd all tell me the same thing...his feelings are there but he's afraid due to the disappointment he's faced, as well as being afraid to take risks, the unknown and his rigid thinking.

I've been working with a sweet jar for about two weeks so far, and I had received some great signs and movement, in which he'd contact me but the cards did recently speak of delays and so, I've been getting no signs and no movement and I want to give up. But on the other hand, the cards did say that this time of delay would pass and that I would be successful so this keeps me working on it...but a little intercession can't hurt, and so I'm looking for the best choice to work with.

At this point, rather than intercession, I think it's plain old block-buster type work that might be able to get through the obstacles for you. Consider getting a Road Opener Vigil set or setting a series of orange tapers with Road Opener oil over his name or the couple's name papers. You could also help communication with some Deer's Tongue and Mercury oil.

l intent petitioning St Barbara very soon,should l slice the Apples l want to offer her or should l keep it whole? How many Apples & cherries are advisable?

I would give any Saint the same as I would a living person. So, if I was serving apples, I would definitely slice that apple in four slices.
I don't know how many cherries (I don't know if there's a specific number) but, remember if you don't know, the Saint isn't offended. It's the gesture that counts. I would give a handful and make sure that the stems are off (as you would serve human company).
I never leave any food on the altar after 24 hours.
This is an absolutely awesome Saint (as most of them are)

Hello everyone!! I'm so excited for my very first post! I personally have worked with Saint Barbara for many years! I inherited the statue from my mother but she wasn't quite clear on what exactly she liked so prior to this I was giving her apples cut into 7's with honey poured on top... Also one single red rose... Which is why I'm so glad I came across this thread! I got up the same day and bought her some red wine!! Everyone on here is so informative and helpful! I really appreciate it! Thanks!!
As of for the things Saint Barbara has helped me with , the list goes on and on... She is an awesome saint!! She has helped me with enemies, money issues, life... She is a great protector!!! I am still trying to figure out which is her prayer day though... Anyhow, she is just AMAZING!! I would just like to say , thank you , Saint Barbara!! Thank you for helping me at my most time of need!! Never thought I'd get into tears over a post but Saint Barbara really has helped me through some really dark times in my life... She truly is a great Saint to have on your side...

Since I was a child, I've always felt drawned to Saint Barbara, she was the one who inspired the Rapunzel fairytale. Her legend, her image, her beauty, I have been fascinated by her all my life.

My dad worked in mines and also as a builder, just if she had spent all my life upon me in some kind of way. And I truly love storms and lightnings!.
She's the holy patron of firefighters and I truly admire those workers.

But never have petitioned her even I remember her in her feast day, 4th of December. But I've always felt her calling, just like Saint Martha or others saints as Saint Rita or Saint Theresa. I feel my dear and beloved Barbara is calling me to work with her.

I have been thinking for a while to do some obstacles removing before casting other spells, and I've just come across with my Barbara again. A signal?.
Well, I'm going to do some divination, but here is my question: does Barbara removes obstacles and keeps away enemies?.

Recently I discovered an image of her in my church, a tiny and a very isolated image that only a person who has an eagle eye can see..so, it seems this beautiful and heavenly princess wants me to call her...

Building a relationship with a Saint will offer more work and options than not building that connection. Many have their strength areas but also work to protect, guide and help those they have a relationship with. Getting a reading to determine is a wise idea, as well as setting a candle, water and an offering to the saint as you speak with her and ask for signs of her willingness to work with you. I know boaters who pray to her for safety from bad storms and enjoy a good working. Does she do what you are asking? She may, build a relationship and ask her.

I saw a question asked about if Saint Barbara would help in love, but it was never answered. So I was wondering if she would assist in bringing a new lover or help single people? Thank you all!

Well, she was kept locked up in a tower with no access to anyone but her abusive father, and she died a virgin martyr when her father beheaded her, so i don't see her as wanting to help with romantic or sexual matters, but there may be legends and beliefs about her with which i am unfamiliar.

Her father was struck dead by lightning for his crimes against her, and so she is the patron of those in danger from thunderstorms and lightning, as well as from edged blades, military weapons, and accidental explosions of gunpowder

Thank you Santa Barbara for your help! I lit a vigil candle for her, in front of her icon and with an offering of an apple. I asked that the storms that plague my region (since we are now in the summer), leave since my house and stormy rain don't do well. With great faith, I prayed to her and it was powerful and miraculous!

P.S: I believe that the tradition that Santa Bárbara brought love back was mixed with African beliefs, or with the story of her looking for a new love for her life while she was locked up in the tower. And there she met the love of Jesus Christ, and eventually some kind of thing came out of that.
