The AIRR Tech Team formed a circle and greatly expanded and improved our web page on the I Ching, the ancient Chinese oracle divination method within Confucian and Taoist traditions. Fortune-Tellers use Yarrow stalks, coins, marbles, or beads to mathematically generate figures composed of six straight or broken lines and then consult this classic text in order to arrive at predictive, prescriptive, and premonitory readings for their clients. With 4,096 possible outcomes, this 3,000 year old method is the most ancient, the most complex, and potentially the most accurate, sortilege system ever devised for telling the future for clients. Catherine Yronwode wrote the page and sourced the photographs and diagrams. She had contributory assistance from Nagasiva Yronwode, Deacon Millett, Dr. E., ConjureMan, Miss Michaele, Papa Newt, and Reverend James. Papa Newt and Nagasiva did editing and site-wide linking, and Nagasiva created this graphic announcement. Check out our stupendously binary page on the I Ching!
