AIRR Tech Team Report 7/16/2024 The Sword of Moses!

Image

The AIRR Tech Team took a deep dive into ancient magical history to present a new web page on "The Sword of Moses" -- a Medieval Jewish grimoire called "Harba de Moshe" filled with angelic incantations and spell forumulae for protection, cursing, catching thieves, curing demonic attacks, and walking on water that unexpectedly became a 1940s best-seller among African-American root doctors! Dr. Jeremy Weiss and Catherine Yronwode researched the origin and subsequent revival of interest in this mysterious book, Papa Newt proofread and provided site-wide linking, Nagasiva Yronwode sourced the art by an unknown Jewish calligrapher; and then the two of them completely revised the link-list of Jewish Grimoires at the site. Finally, Nagasiva created this graphic announcement. Check out our surprising page on "The Sword of Moses"!

The "Sword of Moses" page is here:

We shall now move to social media, to share the "Sword of Moses" page at the AIRR page on Facebook, here:

The story of "The Sword of Moses" is long and complex. Thank you, Dr. Jeremy Weiss, for writing about this important book of incantations, and for allowing me to show the path through Marcus Garvey, Zora Neale Hurston, Moses Gaster ,and Henri Gamache (Anne Fleitman) by which this ancient grimoire became an immensely popular text in 20th and 21st century African-American hoodoo.
