A world traveller, prolific author and lecturer, and trance channeller, he is well-known for the works he published on spiritualism, dream interpretation, mirror scrying, and sex magic. Two of his best-known books, still in print 150 years after his death, are "Eulis! The History of Love: Its Wondrous Magic, Chemistry, Rules, Laws, Modes, Moods and Rationale; Being the Third Revelation of Soul and Sex, also, Reply to 'Why Is Man Immortal?' the Solution to the Darwin Problem, an Entirely New Theory;" and "Seership! The Magnetic Mirror." Catherine Yronwode wrote the page with contributions by Miss Michaele, Nagasiva Yronwode, Dr. Jeremy Weiss, and Lady Muse.
