I can't believe we got it all done and up in time -- it was a LOT of work.

We still don't have an "overnight" service -- just day times, when the readers log in to the site -- but it's all running smoothly now, and we hope it answers a real need.

Hi -- i am VERY SORRY about that. The system is new to me and nagasiva, and when we went down to the East Bay for Halloween with my daughter and her family and stayed overnight, i asked him to "turn me unavailable," but he didn't do it correctly. I was out of town, but the site said i was available! You will not be charged -- don't worry -- but do try again, anytime. We won't make the same mistake twice. (I hope).

Try going to the web page, www.hoodoopsychics.com. Click on the name of the reader you want. You'll see TWO buttons there: The gray "not available" button and a yellow "pre-schedule a reading" button. Click the yellow button and that pulls up the reader's contact information at AIRR. You can either email your reader or use the PayPal link to pay for a pre-scheduled reading.

And the pre-scheduled reading will be cheaper. Though some of us are booked weeks out, others have openings within a few days. It's certainly worth a try.

I'm having a situation again about my job with them making a decision on whether i'm will be discharge. The Lady I spoke with today said she is waiting on the state to get back with her and she should know something by today or tomorrow. She said they have 45 days to contact my job and it just been a little over 30 days since I had my Pre-disciplinary hearing which was the 26Th of June. I need to speak to a reader to see if they are going to fire me or extend my probation. I will b a certified worker on the 1st of Sept. and she saying I can be discharged any time between now and the 10Th of Aug. After Aug. 10Th they have to throw it out. I get along with everybody at my job. The higher ups and the members I called off 5 times in a 6 months period and they claim they want me gone. I have doctor statements to justify 3 of the call offs but I can't seem to see where they going with this. I just need to speak with a reader but all of AIRR readers schedules are so far away. I am waiting to see but now that Sept. 1st is a month away i'm getting impatient.

There are about 20 readers who work through Hoodoo Psychics, but not all of them are available at any given time. The most consistent, in terms of hours logged onto the system are ConjureMan Ali, Miss Michaele, Dr. E., and me (Miss cat). I am on almost every night, and when i am not going to be on for a night or two, i usually give advance notice.

If a particular Hoodoo Psychic you want to talk to isn't available, click on their name. That'll bring up their individual page, and you'll see a yellow "Pre-Schedule a Reading" button. You'll be able to schedule a reading at a lower rate, though you'll have to wait. Not all of us are completely booked up for weeks in advance -- some of us might even be able to fit you in next week.

I'm going to put another prayer request on the crystal silence league also.

Always a good idea! I'm a member there also, and put fresh prayers on my altar every day -- and keep praying over them for a month.

Good advice, Michaele. Many of the folks at AIRR can fit in an emergency reading at their lower "pre-scheduled" rate within 1 to 7days.

Also, if you want an "instant reading" at the higher rate from a member of Hoodoo Psychics, you can call them and ask, "When will you get online next time? I can be sure to talk to you ask soon as possible."

Folks have done that with me fairly frequently, and i always tell them what my next available time-slot on Hoodoo Psychics is going to be.

By the way, right now, as i was typing this, i checked and saw that ConjureMan Ali and Miss Michaele are BOTH available at hoodoopsychics.com right now.

Hi, my question here is, does the reading start when you are telling the rootworker why you called (love, money, career ect.) and giving them the rundown on what your looking to find out (which can take anywhere from 3-5 min depending on how good a person is on narrowing things down to the nitty-gritty), Or does it start when they start telling you what they see in the cards, based on your question(s). Thanks.

Yes, there are polite "pleasantries" which are typically exchanged with common courtesy.

You know what, the first 1-5 minutes of speaking with someone on the phone or in person sets the tone and the "mood'. One of the things that I can do is listening to a person's inflection in their voice. I listen when they are telling the truth and are lying. In that beginning 5 minutes I am paying very close attention to inflection, verbiage, and other things that will become crystal clear in a reading.

So yes, the first few minutes apply. In fact, they are critical.

In addition, many of us out of courtesy actually go over time limit to help someone.

If you are referring to hoodoo Psycics -- and i believe you are, because you posted your question in the Hoodoo Psychics portion of the Forum -- then Tammie Lee is correct, the billing starts when you say "Hello."

In respect to this -- knowing that the cost is higher per minute than for a pre-scheduled reading and that every second is precious -- i usually open by saying, "Hello, this is catherine. How can i help you? (I have to ask because some people want a reading and some people want spell-casting advice; i need to know what type of service is requested.)

If you say, "I'd like a reading," I then ask, "Can you formulate a question and ask me that question -- because i do better with a question in mind than with a general "impression."

Once the question has been asked (say, for instance, Will my boyfriend and i ever get married?") i then begin the reading. If a love relationship is the issue, i may ask for zodiac signs (as i do on the free radio readings), and i will then start laying out tarot cards or doing a bone reading, if that was requested.

On the other hand -- and here i speak for myself, not for all others at AIRR -- if you call me for a pre-scheduled reading through AIRR, which does entail a wait, but is also cheaper per minute than Hoodoo Psychics, i will devote at least 5 free minutes to conversation, getting comfortable, and catching up on news. I will not start the reading until i ask, "Are we ready to start the reading now?" or until i state, "Okay, let's start the reading now."

At the time i say this sort of thing, i will write down the time -- and i may even announce the time to you, saying something like, "Okay, the time is now 1:08, so let's start the reading now and we will have our full hour together."

Actually I was referring to the AIRR reading. Sorry about the confusion. I should have stated from the beginning. Yes, Catherine this was a tremendous help, as I have a 30 min reading with you coming up soon and am still trying to formulate the questions without wasting too much time. And still trying to decide if I want 15 to go to work/career and the other 15 to love/relationship. I think I might go with 20 min to career goal and 10 min to relationships. All in all your answer helped me with timing my reading. Thanks a bunch.

Do members have a set schedule of when they go online? There are two particular readers who I've been interested in reaching, but have not seen them available on hoodoo psychics. These are readers who only do short readings through email, so I'd rather talk to them in person.

I am trying to understand the difference between what Hoodoo Psychics offers vs the others (I can't mention the "others" on this board -so you'll just have to guess who I mean). I know that it is against the policy of others to do certain things, but what does that mean, what would Hoodoo Psychics bring to my reading that others can't and how would I benefit from it?

I'm a newbie and don't understand what the advantage is.

Also, most other psychic hotlines forbid their readers to prescribe anything much beyond meditation and candles. Hoodoo Psychics are permitted, nay, encouraged and trained to prescribe rootwork -- and can even reinforce your own rootwork with theirs.

Lots of changes have been going on at Hoodoo Psychics lately, and i want to give a few updates!

1) NEW MEMBERS: As indicated above, there are several NEW readers at Hoodoo Psychics, including Apollo Dark and Melanie Huffine -- with more on the way! Not all of them are members of AIRR (yet!) but all of them agree to abide by the AIRR Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, so you are safe with them. Also,like everyone else in AIRR and at Hoodoo Psychics, the new members of the team will give you rootwork advice and may arrange to take on rootwork casework for you. Just ask! Other psychic lines do not offer this service, limiting callers to getting readings only, and never helping with spell-casting.

2) NEW CONTACT BUTTONS: When the reader you want it not online, it used to say "Unavailable," but not you are now given the option of a CONTACT ME button. Click the button and your browser will pop open up a new, small window that takes you to that reader's preferred methods of setting up pre-scheduled phone, skype, or email readings. Cool!

I paid money in advance to receive an immediate reading with one of the AIRR consultants. I have been trying for a week now to get through to someone and every time I'm told, "the cue is full, all operators are busy". I don't have any further use for the 'immediate' reading and I would really just like a refund at this point. How can I go about doing that? I've found it very difficult to navigate to the correct outlet for this question, so my apologies if I am posting here in error.

This may not be the correct thread but who do we contact if the site isn't working for us? I've been trying to make an appointment for several weeks now and I always get an error page - I've tried using two different browsers. I actually registered for the site last night and added funds today hoping that this was the reason but the site doesn't work for me. I cannot schedule an appointment with anyone as none of the links work. I'm kinda leery that i entered my credit card info as well, please advise....

I have been trying for five days to get in touch with a reader on hoodoo psychics and each time I try no one is available. I am getting pretty frustrated as I pre added funds. I also tried to arrange and pre paid five days ago for a reading with Conjureman Ali and have still not heard back despite over three email attempts. At this point I would just like my money back from both... How do I go about this?

Finally, I would really like to arrange a reading/consultation with someone timely and responsive. Any suggestions?

Hi all,

I have a situation that is very time sensitive (a break up), so I added funds to Hoodoo Psychics in hopes of talking to someone as soon as possible. I requested Deacon Millett (although I understand he has a busy schedule and is not just sitting on the hotline twiddling his thumbs), but called anyway to see if anyone was available...and for the past five hours or so, no one has been on.

Is there a certain time when more people jump on? Or a better way to see who is currently available? When I called, the service kept telling me it was connecting me to X or Y and then would drop the call.

I don't know when others are on because they keep their own schedules. Check with the Hoodoo Psychics Facebook page or with individual readers threads at this forum. For instance, Miss Cat always announces her Saturday Hoodoo Psychics office hours by posting a photo of a flower on Facebook and here in her own threa.
