CSL Web Site Technical Issues Help Posting or Removing Posts

Dear Bishop cat,

I remember that when you were setting up the Crystal Silence League web page, you discovered that the domain name crystalsilenceleague.org was already taken by someone who loved C. Alexander's work, but had done nothing with the site. So you had to "settle" for crystalsilence.org.

But when the CSL page went live at last, it reveled in the glory of its right (and present) name, crystalsilenceleague.org. How did that happen? I know we'd all love to hear the story.

The original owner of the crystalsilenceleague.org website was Brother Jeffrey Vanderson, a long-time reader and rootworker, a student of my HRCC course, and now a member of AIRR. He had planned to use the domain as a sort of "tribute site" to the history of C. Alexander's work with the CSL but had never developed it.

When he bought that domain name, Bro. Jeffrey had no idea that we at Missionary Independent Spiritual Churches had been planning the revival of the CSL since 2007, that we were actually reprinting one of C. Alexander's CSL booklets, or that we had had to "settle" for the alternative crystalsilence.org domain.

MISC was already online with crystalsilence.org when Bro. Jeffrey saw our predicament and kindly DONATED the ownership of his crystalsilenceleague.org domain to MISC and assumed the role of volunteer editor of the CSL newsletter. He also requested and received affiliation for his own church, The House of Prophecy, within the MISC denomination. We now use the alternative domain name crystalsilence.org as a roll-over domain to the main site.

Our lives have been enriched by this affiliation, which all happened through prayer and open-hearted sharing. It was what i call one of God's true "miracle coincidences."

Thanks for asking.

Cat,

I remember talking to you about this very thing! That is wonderful that it was Brother Vanderson that had the domain name. Divine intervention! Great news...and thanks for pointing that out Miss MIchaele. I hadn't even noticed!

Details Regarding Crystal Silence League Member ID Numbers

Just a quick note to all Members of the Crystal Silence League, New and Old:

Make sure that you have been issued a Member ID for login at the Crystal Silence League Prayer Page. This Member ID should have come to you with the purchase of a Crystal Ball from the Crystal Silence League Gift Shop or from Lucky Mojo. It will allow you to see a bit more than appears on the regular CSL prayer pages.

Also, if you were in the initial group at the Opening Ceremony for the Crystal Silence League (even if you had signed your information on the paper that was going around) and have not received your Membership Log-in ID number then please post here!

I invite everyone to go on over to the Crystal Silence League pages and take a few minutes to see all the new prayer requests...they are coming in daily!

http://crystalsilenceleague.org/

Thanks for reading this and I wish all CSL Members a good day!

Thanks for posting this, Joseph!

The way that CSL Members see the online prayer site once they log in, as opposed to the way the public sees it without logging in, is quite different, and the Membership view is extremely helpful to those who use their crystal balls for visualization and prayer.

The ideals of the Crystal Silence League have long been dear to me.
When I learned of the M.I.S.C. vision for the Crystal Silence League, I immediately wanted to share and participate.

Personally, this has been a tremendous blessing. I am extremely grateful.

Providence works in wonderful ways.

-Thank you, Miss Michaele. You are very kind. :)

MySQL error keeping me from submitting request

I'm getting an error message when I try to enter my prayer request. Before I press "submit," the boxes are green, which I assume means that I'm okay to enter the request. However, this is what I get back: "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'To help others through my intellect, and to share my growing prosperity with tho' at line 1"

Any tips or ideas? Thanks.

When I try to enter the form without anything in it, I get back: "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '317e3f3953975fa49a165870c8d47aa3', 0, 1)' at line 1" This is in the "Your Ambition in Life" area.

Call the shop about this error, it could be as simple as you clearing your cache memory, or using a different browser.

Report the post by post number.

Explain why you are reporting it.

All of the pastors get emails on the reports and the first pastor to open the email will handle it.

Hello,
If I post a prayer request can I delete it once my prayer has been answered?

sky4343 --

Only pastors can delete posts -- sort of like board moderators here. We remove posts that are reported for indecent language, use of full names, or duplicate / multiple posting, but we do not remove prayers that have been answered -- in fact, many folks post a prayer of thanks at the site when their prayers are answered.

Removing Answered and Unanswered Prayers from CSL Web Site

I have been working with the CSL since the summer, but have noticed members working on prayers of mine that have long since been answered. Is there a way to remove them once I have received the blessing, so that I do not waste the prayers and support of members?

fivesight, I am sorry, but removing them would take our church deacons many hours. The best thing to do is to post your thanks, and hope that people read them!

Iv had this happen also but I look at it as a way of reinforcing the prayer and keeping the new outcome.. like lighting a candle after doing work to support the work. In facct iv had ppl pray for things months later and low and behold at the same time I was down or thinking about the situation, it gave me strength to move foward again seeing that prayer. I guess my point is that you never know when you need a prayer, how God will answer thus be thankful someone is praying for you none the less.

I'm pretty sure my friend Geoff won't be getting strep throat infections for a long time. :) you have to really think about the way you word your prayer. My love life might be in chaos for a long time because I didn't think about what I wrote :)

Removing prayer requests that weren't answered

Is it possible to have a prayer request removed or cancelled? It was to save my marriage...we have been divorced since July 2013 and he is going to re-marry. I'm still receiving notifications regarding the request but there are a few things that bother me. It bothers me to see them because I now also have someone else in my life whom I am in love with. Also, I don't want anyone to waste their time praying for something I no longer want. I have many other things they can pray for now. And I don't know if this is possible but them praying for a situation that is definitely not going to happen cause negative effects of what I want now? I'm just going through a lot of things and I don't need anything extra going against me.
Thank you for any help with this!

Thank you!
Marlaina

I have two different member ID numbers (I ordered several crystal balls over the last year - slowly collecting the different colors recommended, so I have several membership cards, two with the same number and the last with a different number) but neither number works when I try to log in. Any help with this is appreciated - thanks!

Hello CSL family,

I'm received the membership card with my order, including the crystal ball. In the paperwork was the membership card ( felt like a kid again, a genuuuinne CSL member card). There was no number written on the card. I figure it was an oversight. No biggie.

So my questions are.

1) how important is logging in on the site?

1.5) How do I log in with out the code?

2) is the code book mentioned the precursor to the Crystal Service League book which Lucky Mojo is selling?

Namasté
Thanks Risus Divino

Awww, that sucks -- they sent you a membership card without a number on it? DANG. Please call the shop and ask for Leslie or Nicole or Althaea. They will get you that number and you can write it in yourself. The phone number is 707-877-151. Or you can email order@luckymojo.com

Ask them your other questions, too.

The Personal Codes book is indeed a precursor to the current book, which consists of the earlier two pamphlets combined, plus a lot of wonderful pictures.

There is something wrong with the CSL site. I tried reporting through the site but that errors out as well. Cannot enter anything in the post ID box at all, but can't send the message without something in that box.
When I click on a prayer request I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: filter_var() in /nfs/www/WWW_pages/aisc2019/crystalsilenceleague.org/public/send_prayer.php on line 20

And I posted a request last week and have received zero notifications which is very unusual, I am assuming it's related to that.

We have been having ongoing maintenance and upgrades at the Crystal Silence League site.

I hope things are now resolved.

If not, and you still experience problems -- please report again. Thanks.
