Spells for Addictions Alcohol Tobacco Drugs Porn Gambling Shopping

Unread post by pnt72 » Mon Jan 16, 2006 2:06 am

Hello all,

I was looking to do work that would help someone with their alcoholism
(as in help them stay away from the alcohol). I was thinking of San
Lazaro. Would this be the direction I should go? Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Patricia

(I have known Catholics to petition Saint Jude for this condition. Several Catholic sites on the web also mention "John of God, Martin of Tours (Martin Cabellero), Monica, Urban of Langres, and Matthias" in that order (seeimingly copying one another). In hoodoo, because most folks are not Catholics, one is much more apt to see Southern style African American conjure remedies such as adding scorpion head powder to someone's alcohol than petitioning a saint. Different strokes for diferent folks. --cat)

Among Cubans San Lazáro is the saint connected with physical ailments and he has perhaps
the strongest following of any saint in the island. However, it needs to be noted that Cubans
do not subscribe to the American habit of classifying every personal defect as an illness. In
that regard, Cubans view alcoholism as a characteristic of personality and not an illness. That
reason I tend to think explains why I have never encountered him being called on in that way.

He's also viewed as a somewhat dangerous saint. He is often strong in his response to
petitions and is the most likely to materialize (literally) but if you fail to keep your promises
to him, you will live to regret it.

I would have tried hoodoo remedies but I am not with the person when
they are around alcohol --- so that makes it a little difficult.

Thanks for the response!

In helping a best friend with addiction, this came to me last
night for a friend that I would like to help but he doesn't
believe in spritual help.

I am goint to buy a male doll (Ken type) cut the skull part of it use the dirty front part of underwear, just the part where he have dropping when he pee, stuff doll with his dirty tissue that he always use along with cut unders. seal head back on with wax from a white candle and keep the doll buried with his dirty clothes for a day or two which will be baptized with his name paper in it after before I close it. I will then bathe the doll with the cut and clear that you offer and read
the 51 psalm and the 23 psalm. I will then bury the doll in a box pour
stay away oil on it and bury it in a graveyard.

Second phase of work would be to get another doll using his clean
underwear (underwear he wore when not under the influence) doing the
same steps in phase one but this time using Crown of Success bath
then bury it in a park near a new tree.

Third phase is to get a new doll same steps as phase one and two, this time using Protection bath and oil and burying the in the park at the foot of a very old tree that I would get permission from to do this.

I would be using your baths as in the HHRC book I can also find the
right psalms and the prayers for different things (have a bible that
tell what prayer to pray for different causes)

I do believe this will work. He has tried numeroues times to quit it
only last for a few months though and he does go to church when he is
clean.

The first dirty unders I would use is what he wore when he was getting on. I would also stick one of his glass smokey thingys in the head before I seal it back so it will be clear what I want cut from his life. I have keys to his place and sometimes I am there when he goes to his bathroom to get his high on.

I know this is a long post but I wanted to know what you think and am
I on the point.

Peace and Love,
queenladyt

(This is an excellent form of work. You certainly know your business, and i too have faith that this will work, for it is thoroughly thought out (the three phases of work), it is highly personal (with his underwears), and very powerfully prayed over. You have all of my best wishes for success, and i thank you very much for sharing this with us. --cat)

Dear queenladyt and cat,

This is a really good post. I would only like to add the use of
psalm 121 for spiritual help for both the worker and addict because
sometimes the addiction will be stubborn. Also you can name the
substances and command in the name of the Father,Son and Holy Ghost
that they leave his spirit and never come back ( repeat 13 times)

Best of luck in this act of mercy,
Beatrice ( Baho1973)

queenladyt, this post inspired me to go on a quest for personal
concerns of my dear alcoholic friend/on and off SO. The discussion
about the spirit of the substance has given me a very different
perspective and I am in the process of formulating a way to address
it.

I came home with one toenail, one dirty sock, and 3 hairs.

PLUS, the cap off of a bottle of the brandy he drinks. This was
fortuitous. I am thinking this can be used in the same way a doll
baby would be used, similar to how you are using the first Ken doll.
What comes to mind as a part of this would be to use the silicone
inserts Dr.Kioni has mentioned for drying out ... put these in the
cap and drip black wax in it to seal it in. Admonish it to stay away
and tell all it's cousins to stay away too. It needs more than that
but I am still formulating what more to add.

Then put the whole shebang in an Altoids box, seal it well and bury
it in an appropriate place. Maybe the river bank.(I like to use
Altoid boxes to seal things away because they say "Curoiusly Strong"
on them .. used one in that uncrossing and reversing spell Dr. Kioni
helped me with to hold the dollbaby.. wrapped it in foil, glued the
box closed, wrapped it in duct tape and buried it all on a tidal
river bank. It worked very well)

Then also to make a dolly for my friend and use some of the
concerns. Perhaps this would be a more appropriate place for the
silicone. I would do some appropriate protection and healing work
and keep it on my altar near Archangel Raphael(latest addition)or
bury it someplace safe and good. We have many old trees where I am
living, several with great knotholes in them.

This is not in final form yet, but I am feeling good about it so
far. Just writing this has pushed the planning process along.

Another thing I have done now that I have recognized the alcohol
spirit is to lay low, become very docile and ignore it's presence as
much as possible. I want it off guard when I finally do complete my
planning and execute the work. I want to whammy it good when it
least expects it.

Spells for Addictions Alcohol Tobacco Drugs Porn Gambling Shopping

Unread post by white » Thu Jan 29, 2009 7:10 pm

I am putting together bottle a spell for a friend who is and addict and is trying hard to stop using crystal meth.

I had a dream last night about this anti-addiction bottle, small enough to fit in his hand, one he could use often to shake away the desire for the drug.

Today I found the exact (very odd shaped) bottle and it seems clear to me I need to create this charm for him.

In my dream I filled the bottle with six items. I gave the bottle to my friend and he was to place the final item in the jar a syringe with the needle bent backwards.

My question is what should the other items in the bottle be? Is there an oil I should give him to annoint the bottle with?
Any comments, ideas, sugguestions would be greatly appreicated.

I feel there is a connection to this work and Masa La Flambo, and the bath by fire, a detoxification ritual in Haitian Vodou tradition. I will likely put there imagine on the bottle and their veve on top.

Thanks,
White

Did you add some crystal meth to the jar? Just a thought, I don't know if this would be a safe thing to do in a drug addiction curing spell.

Just to be clear, I have not yet composed the jar, still considering, visioning all that needs to go into it.

I think the representation of the bent needle is enough, but I will ponder the idea of actual meth in the jar tonight.

Were the law to come across this jar, having actual methamphetamine in it might not be very wise at all, even if the spell were to stop the addiction. :?

Personally, I would not add the substance of abuse to the bottle if the bottle is going to be carried by the person and used as a protective item.
[If the bottle were meant to be buried in a graveyard or thrown into running water to run the influence of that substance out of the person's life, that would be another matter.] For a bottle meant to be carried by the person, it is better to focus on what is desired: clarity of mind, a peaceful spirit, a healthy mind and body, plus protection of same. Consider herbs that are associated with clarity, cleansing, healing, and protection, as well as bluing and/or blessed salt. Having your friend place a bent/broken syringe needle in the bottle is fine, as it is both a personal link and signifies the breaking of the addiction. Likewise, links to supportive spirits (such as imagine, veves, sigils, seals) are fine additions.

Re: appropriate condition oils-- My first thought would be Cast Off Evil, which is often used to combat addictions and cast off their influence. I'd also suggest a series of cleansing spiritual baths for your friend, using either Cast Off Evil bath crystals, 13-herb bath mixture, or hyssop herb, together with Psalm 51 ["Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean..."], followed by Psalm 23 to support the rest of the work.

Best of luck to you and your friend!
Peace be with you,

I second ElKnapp,
out of sight is out of mind.
Case in point:
I did a little spell a number of months ago to help me quit using dip tobbacco. I got al caught up in symbolism, and took a tin of dip and poured cast off evil oil in it and nailed the top shut and left it on my altar while burning a candle.

Guess what, cast off evil be damned. The sight of the tobacco tin made it such that a few days later when I got some horrible news, it's mere presence triggered me to go get some more:
"just this one more time, then i'll quit. Honest...."

That combned with possible legal concerns, I'd suggest that if there is anything you give your friend, don't include in it the substance he's trying to quit or it's paraphenalia.
If you want to keep the bottle yourself with meth and the bent needle in it, and shake it up now then, maybe that wiould be a better idea.

Wondering about adapting the Cast Off Evil rootwork.........I have read the Cast Off Evil page. It is suggested that the rootwork can be adapted for other situations. We are attempting to help someone with his sex addiction. Although he won't admit and doesn't know we found out --- he does want a full and loving relationship. He had shown that he is worthy of help meaning he is a good person.... He might come around to admission etc with our rootwork. This is not for retaliation but to help him and to find the best sex exclusively with the woman he is falling in love with.

We have started love and sexual rootwork and it is working wonderfully using LM products. In the Cast Off Evil spell, it suggests alcohol in the bottle. Since he doesn't have a problem with that and doesn't even drink, besides using 3 theives vinegar is there anything say sympathetic to his particular problem that we should add? Add say a condom in bottle? Maybe a written description? Please LM Practioners what do you think? Any other suggestions as to this situation? While waiting on order, is there something we can start now? I have a black candle and good herb collection?

Thanks!!

Hi Astariell,

Ok, so my spiel on addictions( I am assuming he is really addicted and not just a horn dog) is as follows: it is always great to use magic as one prong in a multi-pronged attack against addiction, however it is very seldom effective as the only form of attach. Addictions are physiological as well as emotional, spiritual and mental, so if you are backing up your real time intervention of confronting him with the problem and getting him to agree that he needs to help himself by going to see the appropriate health worker professional with magic, then bravo. But, if you are hoping that magic is going to solve this one, I would strongly encourage you to incorporate it but do not make it your sole avenue of action.

With that said, I think that putting semen or a used condom or even some pubic hairs in the bottle would be good. I high recommend the herb Ladies Thumb: http://herb-magic.com/knot-weed.html
You may also want to look at some of the work done for tying a man's nature. I don't think that this would be appropriate for your situation, but it might give you some ideas of directions to take it in, you can find it on this page:

good luck,

Hi Bri and thanks..

Its hard to say if he is just a horn dog really, but since he seems to be compelled to seek out and have this aspect of sex (finding couples behind his loved ones back--no offense to others here) we think perhaps both...Your right and we know how hard to help but worth a try. Truth can be stranger then fiction so one never knows.....Personally, I have had it with "fixing" people....I'd rather help those who want help.....But I suggested a time limit as usual .....plus since the other work seems to be helping and working will forge ahead with our plan......

I read Cat's suggestion on another post of domination as well. Might be an idea, like a bend over.So to speak!

Thanks!

Cast Off Evil is a spell family used to encourage someone to stop hanging out with bad companions or giving in to bad habits and addictions. It is not a substitute for therapy. Read more, including a free spell, here:

http://luckymojo.com/castoffevil.html

ast Off Evil is alleged to rid one of bad habits, wicked influences, and evil companions.

Use oils to fix candles, prepare magical amulets, anoint the body and hair, add to bath water and floor wash, and dress furniture and rooms, according to folk magic spell lore.

Hand-made, faith-based, perfumed hoodoo dressing oil with herbs and roots included, in a 1/2 oz. glass bottle with a colourful label.

I have read on several posts the reccommendation that someone use Ladies Thumb to tie down an addiction or bad habbit. How would I do this? I have several bad habbits I'm about to do a "Cast Off Evil" spellkit for and would like to also use the Ladies Thumb idea because I like the concept of "tying down" something that has run free for a while. Can someone help me?

The ad for Knot Weed talks mostly of love work that can be done. But this isn't what I'm concerned about.... at least not yet.

Instinctually my need to constrict doesn't seem to be fitted well towards using it as incense or just as a sachet (as those both seem a bit obtuse and I'm looking for something binding here, right?), but maybe more sensible in this instance to use a poppet? Yes, this is a question.

Maybe even adding a bottle spell to the ritual would help and give me something to keep on my altar and/or be able to continue working with as these habbits start creeping back. I guess I'm looking for something other than candles that can help me keep the work going as I continue to work on these issues.

Any help you have is greatly appreciated.

That said, knot grass may be used to dress candles, or used as an ingredient in a bottle spell or mojo bag.

I read in HHRM about several herbs that removes addictions...I cant seem to name it right now...

Look up the following products on the Lucky Mojo site:

For your home environment and to start with you'll probably want to do some cleansing: Chinese Wash for the home, 13-Herb Bath

Your Son: Cast Off Evil, Clarity and King Solomon Wisdom products, Court Case

Husband: Court Case, Fast Luck, Essence of Bend Over

You: Money Stay With Me, Prosperity, Steady Work, Boss Fix

But you may want to get a reading with a good worker on this, as you have several very different circumstances that all need addressing. It's alot of work, and you may very well need help getting all of it done.

I agree with jujuggiggles, 13 herb bath is a great start especially when there are 'unknown' and 'known' situations...it clears the air. ...after the spiritual bath, I suggest that you use it to wash down your home top to bottom...adding Chinese wash is a great touch.

When doing these rituals please have specific intents in mind as you get what you ask for...

You can use Cast Off Evil products to help rid her of the habit, along with Healing to help address whatever issues may have made her start & continue smoking, as well as give her body some extra support as she goes through nicotine withdrawal. Working some King Solomon Wisdom and Clarity work will help her make a wise decision about quitting. You could also consider some Crucible of Courage and John the Conqueror (or Victory, if you feel that JtC would be too "masculine" an energy for her) to help her stick with the plan.

Thank you so much, eagerbeaver for bringing up this question. I wanted to ask for spell help with this, but figured maybe I would impede my own progress, because I just can't maintain the willpower to do it.I really want to quit, but I have not been able to motivate myself to do it long enough. I mean, as soon as a stressful moment hits, or even boredom, I start puffing away on the cigs. . . .(and of course a little Mary J).

I'm definitely going to try some kind of combo (oils, powders, baths, etc.) of the cast off evil, crown of success, king solomon wisdom, dr gregorio hernandez (for healing my mind and whatever damage I have already done to my body) and maybe eucalyptus, since I already have some of that home. Hopefully, I will have a good testimonial to share when all is said and done.

Best of luck getting your friend to quit. . . .

You could use black with the Cast Off Evil, as you are working to banish the issues. Purple with the success and courage work. White or blue with the healing work.

I would carve her name into the candle, as well as place a petition paper underneath it.

You could also consider making a Cast Off Evil jar or bottle spell, using her picture, any concerns that you can get from her, and the powder and related herbs. Then you can shake it, as well as burn the purple success candles on top. At the same time have a white skull candle with the King Solomon Wisdom/Clarity.

You might also experiment with placing a pair of open scissors between the Cast Off Evil jar/bottle, and a pack of her brand cigarettes. Surround the cigs with Banishing powder, and the Cast off Evil jar with Protection powder. Each day, take a little hand-duster and scoot the cigs further away from her jar, sprinkling a bit more Banishing on and around them.

I need help in finding a way to block pornographic influence. I know cleansing the home is the natural first step, and I have Ms. Cat's book, so I can refer to it if need be. My best friend's husband is apparently getting hooked on deviant type porn, and she came to me crying about a way to stop it. (personally, I feel he is lacking in basic integrity) but I will do whatever I can to help her. She is willing to try anything I can come up with.
Thanks so much.

Look into Cast Off Evil products. The best suggestion is probably the spell kit that also comes with Chinese Wash: http://www.luckymojo.com/spell-cast-off-evil.html

on issues with integrity I usually have people to use a white skull candle and pray that the person bring judgement upon themselves, that way the change is an internal process, and they stop the bad behavior without nagging or ultimatem....good luck with everything!

I like J's response of Cast off Evil, and the white skull candle is good too-use it with clarity and KS wisdom oil. If he has an addiction to porn you may need to do a variant on the spell for alcoholism listed on the Cast off Evil spell page.
good luck,

What exactly is 'deviant type porn'?

I'd work a communication angle in addition to everything else suggested. Getting the guy to open up is going to be the best way to deal with things.

She is comfortable with her sexuality.

The problem seems to be the TYPE of porn. He still treats her like gold. Not a problem there.

He does not watch it while she is in the house, but he is now finding the time at lunch to come home to watch and watching even before work in the morning.

And yes, she has also started counseling, which I suggested.

He needs counseling. You can make him quit looking at the porn, but that won't help save their relationship. You need to work some peaceful home to create an environment where he feels comfortable enough to discuss this with his wife. You need to work to foster an open communication. You may want to work a skull candle to force this guy to tell the truth.

You also need to be prepared for the best solution to be the break up of this relationship.

Best of luck on this, it sounds like it's going to be very, very difficult to deal with for everyone involved.

We know all of this already. I appreciate everyone's replies and will make a list to get started.

Her first concern is in saving the marriage, if she can, which is why SHE went to counseling first. We've been online, we've looked at groups, we've discussed her options. Her FIRST priority is to get the awful oppressive feeling out of the house. I will tell her about the skull candles to at least get him to talking to her. The changes have only been since around January, as far as I can tell from her ramblings.

She's been my best friend since high school, (25 yrs) and I've never seen this way before, freaked out, so I can imagine what it's doing to her.

In a couple of weeks, he is going with a group to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway on motorcycles...so I will get the stuff from LM to help her 'clean' the house. :(
Thanks again everyone.

First not *all* men look at porn, but since his wife is open to the idea of exploring their sexuality through erotica, then that isn't the issue. The issue is thee parts (not in any particular order):

1. He's going through psychological identity issues that require exploration, introspection, and more importantly therapy.

2. He is developing an addiction to pornography if he is using before work and lunch time to indulge in it.

3. She is uncomfortable with the content of what he is looking at along with the frequency of it AND the behavior he is exhibiting.

All three of these are going to put a strain on the marriage and it's going to take addressing each of them to help her reach where she wants to be at, in my opinion. You'll want a reading to help further illuminate the situation and needs what needs to be done, but here is what I would recommend.

1. To address his psychological identity issues, he needs to seek out theraphy. He can go with his wife, but it's important for him to work with a therapist. Work healing conjure on this angle. I would work a skull candle with Healing, Clarity, and Wisdom of King Solomon to help him during this time.

2. Whether he continues to watch the content that he does depends upon what he discovers from his therapy. However, she can work to break the addiction he is developing so that he spends less time on porn and more time on understanding himself and developing a relationship with his wife. Work a Cast off Evil conjure. This can be the one on the LM page or a skull candle. But add elements of Clarity to help him see what his addiction is doing to him and her.

3. She needs to work on herself to help her understand what her husband is going through and what she wants out of this relationship. He may walk a different path from his marriage after therapy and she needs to be ready to accept that. Until then she can work with Crucible of Courage to help her have the courage to face the difficulties head on. She needs to work with Road Opening work aimed at communication to help the couple talk to one another and express their feelings. It will go a long way to ease her if she can tell her husband how she feels and if he can start discussing what he's thinking with her.

She can try to force him to change his behavior to help bring more ease to her, but for now it may be best to work on finding out *what* is going on and how to address it. Get him help, help him find insight, break his addiction, and help rebuild the lines of communication and understanding is the way to go with this.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Conjureman. This is beautifully articulated. Since she was blindsided, and cannot discuss it with anyone but me, (and her husband, soon, hopefully). I'm the only one of the two of us who is removed enough to look for help. We will try all you've suggested, and yes, sadly, she thinks it may be the end of her 4 yr marriage, but she also wants him to be a whole, happy person.
We also figured that the porn was a symptom, but it would help if it were not such a daily issue.

Thank you.

i hope everything works out for her, this is a subject i know only too well, for the first 12 years of my marraige my husband preferred porn to sleeping with me, and it led to a lot of lies and deceit on his part, and a lot of pain on my part. i'm not prude or anything, and spent many years feeling i wasn't attractive enough or exciting enough for him, after numerous confrontations and arguments (mostly about him lying to me, it's something that really ticks me off) i resorted to magick.

i wrote him a letter explaining that i can't take the pain anymore, if he can't deal with his obession and stop lying to me about so many stupid things (not just the porn) i would leave him. he said i was an egoist and a nosy b***ch, only thinking of myself.... so i bound him to me and left him. i prayed that he would feel the pain i had lived with for so many years, prayed that he would be forced to face what he made me face.

i knew he loved me more than anything else, and his "ways" are something i still have to cope with, but after 5 months of being alone without me, after i agreed to come back, he hardly looks at any more porn. he knows i don't have anything against porn, but if it replaces me then i see it as a problem.

NotDorianGray and jujugiggles want to know what the querent meant by the term "deviant type porn."

Answer: "deviant porn" is off topic here. The question was about "blocking pornographic influence." Nobody here is equipped to deal with clinical psychology or psychotherapy. I have edited several posts in this thread to remove well-meaning but uncredentialled attempts to practice medicine without a license. Good advice is good advice, and that has been left.

Remember also, that young people read this forum; some of them far too young to be invited to participate in a thread discussing pornography.

Sassy defined the issue as an addiction to porn, so let's address that issue.

Thanks.

I copied this from Cat's page, too.
"I am often asked how to best use magic spells and magical hoodoo or conjure oils to cure or help an alcoholic or drug addict. This is always a difficult issue. Magic alone often cannot help a person with severe alcohol or drug dependencies. In order to effect a change, the work must go to changing them at their very core, not just to a little part of them, like making a boss give you a raise or getting a man to stay home more. So when trying to help an addict of any kind (and that includes tobacco as well as alcohol and other drugs), i recommend a three-part work: (1) get them in a program, (2) get them in church, (3) do your spell casting and prayer work on them. Even two out of the three has a better chance of success than any one alone.

The program should be one that is suited to their temperament, whether that be a secular rehab center or a religiously oriented self-help group like Alcoholics Anonymous.

The work you do should be long-term and ongoing. Change will not happen in a day.
"

I won't post it, but there is a link on the Gambler's Anonymous site for Getting Help for Friends and Family.

If you are a Catholic, or work with Catholic Folk Saints, you may benefit from petitioning Venerable Matt Talbot, who helps with probalems of addiction. Read about him on this AIRR web page:

Good luck.

I have a question to ask I was hoping sombody can help me with.

Is there a spell or a ritual or some kind of work one can do to help fight drug addiction? Here's the scenerio. A friend has a daughter who is pregnant, but she has a really terrible addiction to a very serious hard drug. She wants to try and kick it, but her attempts are unsuccessful. She does want to go to a clinic, but her mother was hoping there was some work we could do to help her be successful and make it easier for her to kick this habit while protecting the unborn baby. Who should one call upon, and what offerings should be given? Any info you can give me in ragards to this would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello Everyone, Hope you are all doing well.

A very good friend of mine is an alcoholic. We all know this and have tried talking to her, but she doesn't seem to get it. She lost her job, now her marriage is in jeopardy (she has a young child). She's a smart, great lady who just will not accept this. I am one of her best friends.

I read on the Board that Cast off Evil is a good solution, but what if the person refuses to believe there is a problem.

Do I cut & clear myself out of this mess? I care about her, but honestly, I've been listening for YEARS how it's always someone else's fault, etc. and quite honestly, I'm tired.

How do you help someone who will not help herself or admit there's a problem.

Thanks

You can try some Clarity/King Solomon Wisdom on her to help her see the truth of her situation. Then the Cast Off Evil can help her get past it, but she'll still need rehab and therapy on the physical end of things to really recover.

Set a deadline for working, and if she hasn't moved into a better place, then you may need to consider Cut and Clearing her from your life, as it's really not helping anyone for you to be getting stressed and exhausted trying to help someone who won't help themselves.

I think the Cast Off Evil conjure given by Miss cat on the products' page is a good one to use in this situation. Include along with Cast off Evil, Healing, Blessing, some Clarity and King Solomon's Wisdom, as suggested by the lovely Devi. This will help them see that there is a problem.

When I have worked this particular spell the stick part, where you work a vinegar jar often manifesting in making the person violently ill from alcohol which in turn started sinking in the fact that they indeed had a problem.

One of the biggest steps towards recovery is the admission that there is something wrong. Along side this conjure I'd work something to get an intervention going. You can do this by either working with your friend's ancestor, or working an Influence conjure on friends and family to get them to band together for an intervention.
