I will be traveling over the next few weeks and wanted to know ideas others have employed while traveling.

I am currently doing love, job and protection work. I burn candles anointed with oils for my work. one of my altars include three candles, one that includes a honey jar, a saint and love candle. The other is for financial success (get a job, keep a job), one 7 knot and two white candles.

Thanks in advance.

When i travel, i gebnraly take along a Safe Travel mojo hand and some Safe Travel oil to dress and feed it. Back at home, if possible, i have my friends or loved ones keeping a Safe Travel vigil light on the altar.

dressing oil. Safe Travel spiritual supplies are used by travelers for safety while on the road, at sea, or in the air; by those at home for the safety of friends and family who are on a journey; and for a welcome homecoming.

A mojo is the staple amulet of African-American hoodoo practice, a flannel bag containing one or more magical items, such as roots, herbs, seeds, coins, charms, a petition paper, and/or personal concerns, made to assist in the accomplishment of a wish, desire, or prayer. A mojo made for luck, wealth, love, protection, or health is traditionally carried on the person, but some mojos are hidden in a place where they will work on those who pass by. Alternative names for the mojo include hand, mojo hand, conjure hand, lucky hand, mojo bag, conjure bag, trick bag, tricker bag, root bag, toby, jomo, joomoo, gree-gree, grigat, gris-gris, and nation sack. A mojo used for divination, somewhat like a pendulum, is called a Jack, Jack bag, or Jack ball.

Product Details:
Lucky Mojo brand mojo hands contain authentic, traditional roots, herbs, and symbolic ingredients fixed in a flannel bag. Each one is made with consideration and prayer. They come with dressing oil and full instructions for use.

'm a firm believer in the angelic realm and have had great/lucky experiences praying to Archangels (or as many would call them) St. Michael, and St. Raphael right before and during my travels .

I also light a white angelic dressed candle every morning next to frankincense & myrrh incense dipped in firey wall of protection oil, and begin my day out w/a prayer of safe travel & guidance - my daily commute has me on the go, so whether the trip is short or long, I always pray in this manner re my travels.

I've heard many great things about the safe travel oil as well, and have since ordered some for extra long distance trips wherein I may be out of town and not able to light my morning candle w/the incense. I will also apply this oil to areas around the inside of my car. =)

May your travels be filled with many blessings, love & light.

Greetings, all!

This forum has such an awesome vibe, not to mention a wealth of information. I've often lurked and researched, but this is my first actual post! I've gotten a great reading from Cat before and have worked with one of her former students in person (from whom I obtained a copy of "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic"--it's awesome--and a very effective mojo). I've also been fortunate in that I've found retail suppliers of LM products in every city I've lived in since 2005. Needless to say, I have a lot of appreciation for LM and its associates.

Anyway, onto my questions! I would appreciate any insight or advice anyone might care to offer re: either question, or both.

1) What is the most effective substitute for burying a name paper/petition if one lives in an apartment with no yard? Is it wise to get a large house plant and stick it by the front door (assuming the goal is attraction)? Under the doormat? My parents live fifteen minutes away in my childhood home (complete with large back and front yards), but I imagine burying something there would attract whatever I desire to their house, and not to me. But I DID live there for 18 years. Anyway, I don't even have a doormat--just a front closet--and my apartment complex is crawling with security guards who probably wouldn't take kindly to me digging a hole outside at 3 AM. What is my best option?

2) I'd like to make a "safe travels" rearview mirror decoration for my boyfriend. He drives all day long for his job; not only does his poor car endure a lot of wear and tear (think worn down brakes, yikes!), but he's a pretty aggressive driver! He's Christian, so I think he'd feel uncomfortable if I handed him a mojo; hence, I have a brass St. Christopher medallion that I intend to glue to a large wooden button. Do you guys have any suggestions for how to spell it afterwards? I have comfrey root pieces, feverfew and mugwort...could I burn these, pray and wave the medallion+wood through the smoke? I assume gluing comfrey to the decoration would be more effective, but that might not look aesthetically pleasing (and please correct me if I'm wrong re: the efficacy of gluing them).

3) Here's a tiny, mini-question I decided to sneak in last-minute (LOL): I'd like to petition St. Expedite for the first time. I have two yellow vigil candles (and one orange), but no red. How picky is he, exactly, about that sort of thing? I'd like to use what I have before buying more, but only if it will not cause offense. I obviously have not established a solid rapport with him yet, and I certainly don't want to make a bad first impression.

Thank you in advance for your help! Cheers :)

Hello antivirgo, welcome to the forum.

Your best bet would be to buy a nice pretty house plant and bury the reminds in that and set that by your front door. The idea of burying it at your childhood home is cute, and sweet, but I don't think it would really be the same at all, you simply do not live there anymore, its part of your past.

Your basically making an amulet or talisman here. I would have a candle dressed with Safe Travel and maybe Saint Christopher oil burning while I make it. Of the herbs you mentioned Mugwort is out of place, its more often used for dreams and psychic visions, but fever few is great to keep off accidents and Comfery is wonderful for safely when traveling. However rather then play with roots and hot charcoal I would just pick up some Safe Travel incense powders and some it in that, anoint it with Safe Travel oil as well.

A red candle is most traditional and I personally would feel more comfortable working with one. But. Saint Expedite is the saint of urgent issues, emergency that must be solved as soon as possible, so I don't think he would mid if you used a white one, if that was all you had ad it was a very very important thing. FYI, he doesn't seem to care about frivolous things that are only a time issue because you want them badly. He's wonderful if you need rent money in a week, but not so much if say, you really want some cash to get those nice new shoes you saw.

Hope that helps.

Hey, antivirgo -- i'm glad to see you here, but next time, please ask each question on its own, in the section of the board set aside for that type of question. The way you've done it, no one will ever be able to unravel these posts and reference them again. :-)

#1 is a situation (no back yard).

#2 is an amulet question (safe travel)

#3 is a candle question (Saint Expedite)

So I am planning a trip to South America in a couple of months and i was wondering what the best course of action for protection of myself and my belongings are. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but i had a dream last night where i was in Airport in Peru and i got robbed in my taxi, it was a very vivid dream and now i am a little worried.

I know that there is a line of safe travel products, i'm just not sure exactly how to use them and whether or not i should be using them in conjunction with any other Lucky Mojo products.

Thanks

Get an image of St. Christopher (or pendant/charm) and anoint it with Safe Travel Oil and St. Christopher Oil while you pray for your physical safety and the safety of your possessions. Then anoint all of your luggage with these oils along with Protection oil and pray over them.

Keep the image of St. Christopher with you (on your body) throughout your trip.

The night before your trip, anoint a blue candle (6" offertory) with protection oil and recite Psalm 139:1-12. Leave the bible open to that page while the candle burns (or if you have printed out the passage from the internet, leave it visible in front of the candle, not underneath).

Hello everyone,
How would YOU go about blessing an automobile for a loved one for protection from accidents, theft, vandalism (and expensive car repairs)? How often would you do this?

This is what I'm considering:
- Dabbing LM Blessing Oil or Fiery Wall of Protection Oil on the corner of each bumper. However, I'm worried that it might affect the paint job. She frequently washes her car, so I don't know if using oil would be a smart idea.
- Smudging the interior with sage.
- Hiding a protection mojo in her glove box or trunk, but maybe her rosary beads hanging from the rearview mirror might be enough ;)

Thoughts?

Wash it with water in which you dissolve Safe Travel and/or \Protection bath crystals. Then draw eyes on both head lights with Safe Travel oil.

I always add Lucky Mojo safe travel bath crystals to my car wash. I have also used Firey Wall of Protection oil to annoint the four corners of my car and a spot on the roof. I actually sprinkled sachet powders around and on the vehicle too at other times! Its a part of my routine now.

What I would do is take a picture of the car and place that picture in between two candles surrounded with protection and blessing herbs. I would pray over the altar daily while also smoking the car in Safe Travel and Blessing incense, then I'd make a mojo hand that would be kept in the dashboard to keep the work going.

To bless an engine:

Wedge some relevant incense STICKS into the front grille, well enough that they won't fall off when you're driving. They should be ahead of the car, essentially. Then, light them up and drive around the block a few times, until they're burnt down.

"Borrow" the rosary beads, take them to a priest, and have them blessed, then put them back. You can buy clip-on St. Christopher medals (they usually also come with a Guardian Angel prayer) and they fit on the visor. If you're going to apply oils, apply them to that, as it would be safe.

The car isn't mine, so I'm a bit limited on the things I can do while being inconspicuous. I'll draw an eye on the headlights using Fiery Wall of Protection and Blessing oils, replace the rosary with one blessed by a priest, and put a picture of the car on my altar for blessings.

Thanks to everyone for your helpful input! :P

You can look into the Safe Travel products which are lovely!

If the trip is to see family, add Peaceful Home. If it is a business trip, add Prosperity or Wealthy Way. If it is to meet a lover, ass Love Me. If it is for fun and sight-seeing, add Lucky Mojo.

Hello ladies and gents,

I just bought a car (not new) and I would like to work something on it. I'm thinking of washing it with Chinese Wash and adding some protection on it through water or something frequently. I also would like to work either a mojo hand or amulet to keep in the car at all times. The conditions I'm looking for is protection from accidents and thieves, keep the car in good condition, and keep the law away (lol). I know how to work mojo hands but not amulets. I'd also need help with the herbal and root ingredients.

Any advice highly appreciated :D

Thanks

Safe travel products from LM are wonderful! Disolve a handful of the bath crystals into your car wash bucket or in a spray bottle for the interior. Wormwood is something I include in my car and I use comfrey root as well. Protection sachet powders sprinkled on the floor mats will work, you can even vacuum them up & their power will still work. Annoint the four corners of your car with something like Firey Wall of Protection oil. You can use Blue Cohosh root, or Black Cohosh root, too for protection of vehicles. Any or all of these herbal ingredients would work well in a mojo for your car. (and they are for sale at Lucky Mojo)

I like and agree with butchcomer, although, personally, I keep a Saint Michael card (http://www.luckymojo.com/archangelmichael.html) in my car where everyone can see it and I pray to him daily.

Here are the items butchcomer listed.

Wormwood http://www.herb-magic.com/wormwood.html
Comfrey Root http://www.herb-magic.com/comfrey-root.html

Blue Cohosh http://www.herb-magic.com/blue-cohosh-root.html

I like all of these ideas. I think the best thing is to get a fiery wall of protection mojo bag, and dress it ever so often. I would keep it in your glove compartment or even in the trunk of your car so that you do not have to worry about anyone touching it on accident. I personally like to make sprays out of the bath crystals, and I remember when I got my car even though it was brand new I sage it, and spray the bottle all of the time. In addition, you can use law keep away powder along with any of the other product powders listed and put them under your floor mats, and light dust your dashboard.

If you want you put a little bit of these products in your air freshener as well so that it is always helping keeping you protected, and so on.

I know a guy who swears by lighting a few sticks of incense and then wedging them sticking outwards from his grille, and then driving around the block a few times (taxi driver). He does this every month or so, because his car is his business. I'm not sure which stick incenses available might be good for a car, though. Taxi drivers have some amazing rituals specific to their culture, and a lot of it seems to be in the conjure vein even if they don't know it.

Clip-on combination St. Christopher/Guardian Angel visor clips are enormously common and I have one myself, they are usually available in Christian bookstores.

Hi,

I'd like to share what I do to make protection "washes" that are dry for a car
interior or carpet, rugs, upholstery, etc.

For a car's upholstered interior and carpet/rugs, you can't really use liquids
to clean it spiritually, unless you want to totally shampoo it all...which you
can, but a lot of work....too much for me.

Smudging is great! Very effective too.

Another good way is to make a homemade carpet powder.

Think "Hoodoo Carpet-Fresh".

You can make one for clearing/uncrossing, and one for protection....start with
the cleansing/clearing blend, to clear all negativity....then finish with the
protection blend to keep it safe.

I use:
~ 1-2 boxes baking soda
~ 1 cup salt
~ 1 cup of dried herbs, ground well (use blender/mortar/grinder)
~ protection oils of your choice (see below)

You may vary any of these amounts as you wish...just a basic example here.

Mix the ground herbs with the baking powder and salt in a large jar.

Add a few drops of your oils. I use essential oils, and Lucky Mojo oils, like

~ Lucky Mojo Eucalyptus Oil
~ Lucky Mojo Protection Oil
~ Lucky Mojo Fiery Wall of Protection Oil
~ Lucky Mojo Van Van Oil

Put the lid on the jar, and shake, shake, shake!

Shake it well so the oils will be well blended into the dry ingredients.

Sprinkle this powder onto the car floors and carpets/rugs, as well as the
upholstery, and in the trunk or any dashboards front/rear that are covered with
fabric or carpet.

If your carpet is a thicker pile...more plush than some...then rub the powder
into it lightly to get it down into the pile.

***Do not put this mix onto hard plastic or painted surfaces...it could dull it
or leave dull traces. It's only for carpet or fabric.

Leave the mix on for the number of minutes or hours you see fit for
protection...odd numbers are good. 3, 7, 9....I like 3, I usually wait at least
30 minutes.

The baking soda will absorb any bad odors, the salt will absorb moisture, they
both will absorb negative vibrations....and the herbs will do the same.
The herbs and oils will leave behind a strong barrier to protect your car.
This mix smells strong and cleanses well....leaves a good scent after
too....depending on what herbs/oils you choose.

When it has set long enough.....vacuum up the powder well.
That's it!

Make yourself a good mojo to hang in the car at all times too. :)

Best of luck,
~ Laura

I would not have been able to experiment and come up with a recipe like this one, without having had the expert teachings of Cat through her Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course book. I have learned a LOT from Cat's course-book.

It is full of such a wealth of information that anyone can learn successful hoodoo rootwork.

Cat knows how to make it easy and fun too...as it's also a really nice read. :o

Can someone tell me what (if any) difference is there between St. Christopher and Safe Travel products. Do they both basically do the same things and have the same properties?

Hi DeborahHarris,

the products are different. Which one you use (or both) will depend on your personal penchants and practice. Safe Travel is a wonderful and effective blend (it smells just fabulous :D ) and does not require petitioning a Saint (which is a practice that isn't necessary in Conjure).

St. Christopher products are most effective when used in conjunction with petition to the Saint. Using the oil to anoint and feed a prayer card paquet or mojo containing a St-Christopher medallion for your vehicle, or to dress a St-Christopher vigil light for a vacationing family member, as examples.

You can read more about each of the products as well as look over some spell ideas in the following links:
http://www.luckymojo.com/safetravel.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/saintchristopher.html

If you are into working with Saints for safe travel - and you travel a lot by plane - St. Joseph of Cupertino is also an excellent choice. Petition him with a brown candle, dressed with All Saints oil, and offer a piece of dry bread or fruit and a little wormwood.

Blessings and best of luck.

Some say St. Christopher favors men more than women, but your experience may be different. It is not necessary to work with saints if you don't want to.

My question is a little varied, which products are best for a military deployment? When and if (more likely is when now a days.), I was wanting to send him with or dress him with safe travel products and send him with maybe a St Cristopher medal. Or is there a medal necklace that is for male military members? I know some female soldiers will work with Joan of Arc. What would a medal be dressed with, he can wear these since it is religious type necklace and what oil powders could I send with him other than protection products. Feel free to put in right topic on the forum if this isn't the right one.

Are you looking to protect your soldier during his deployment, or just in the travel to and from?

If you're looking for protection during, then I would go with St. Michael, as he is the patron of all warriors and those in positions of risk for the communal good - soldiers, police, firemen, etc. You could get a triple strength Fiery Wall of Protection mojo, as that uses the protective agency of St. Michael. You could also get a nice St. Michael medal (they even have ones specifically for the various warrior-careers), and have it blessed, dress it with Fiery Wall or St. Michael oils and give it to him.

If it's the travel specifically you are asking about, then certainly Safe Travel &/or St. Christopher products would be appropriate.

My mechanic has been working on my car. He stated it was the fuel pump. He took my gas tank down. Comes to work on it then leaves it and takes weeks to come back. Also he says he lost the only key I have to the car.

Now the story of the car: My uncle died and left me the car, my aunt wanted to continue to drive the car to her house which is 2 hours away in order for her to look at and touch it. I can't. I don't have that kind of time. She also won't give me the spare key or the automatic opener either.

Do I need compelling?

Do think there is a curse on the car? Do I need to do something in the car for releasing?

I need my car.

This is an interesting post filled with many possible answers. Cleasing of a car has been discussed on The Forum many times. Do a search in the upper right hand corner and type in "car cleansing".
search.php
Out of the 880 searches pulled up if were narrowed down to one or several of the links, the advice would probably be Chinese Wash:
http://www.luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/uncrossing.html
and more contributions by many great posters.

Money Stay with Me for the car with regard to the repairs (future breakdowns as well):
http://www.luckymojo.com/moneystaywithme.html

You could do some work on your aunt with Blessing products:
http://www.luckymojo.com/blessing.html
It sounds like she is grieving and lonely and misses him and would like to see you.

I can be just as guilty of the advice that I am about to give you, but the advice was given to me in 1998 and here it is:
"As humans, we afford what we want to afford. We make the time or take the time to do the things that we want to do.
This advice has been very helpful for many years when it comes to decision making and prioritising."

It is possible that your uncle left you the car knowing your need and also that he may have wanted you to have a way to visit her two hours away. You could have a reading by a Member of AIRR and ask about everything from the car, to your Uncle and what he may have wanted for you, to why is it breaking down and whether it is cursed or a sign or any number of different questions:

Follow this link to the AIRR page:
http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/C ... Mediumship

About the key to the car, well if you can get to your aunt by way of alternate trasportation or ask her kindly if she would please mail it to you and commit to a day and time to visit even if it is during the Thanksgiving weekend six weeks from now. Visiting with her may be a Blessing for both of you.

Another choice or option, if anything I'd be working on that mechanic to pay for the car to get re keyed-- he lost the key, and weeks to repair? Work on him. He is the one that broke the promise and commitment:
http://www.luckymojo.com/compelling.html

You may also consider Esscense of Bend Over:

Hope this helps and Good luck!

Yes I totally agree, my mechanic is the responsible. The really hasn't broke down often at all. Yes you could be right about my aunt but that is a long ride. Trust me. I have scheduled a reading this week as matter of fact.
Thank you

I just wanted to throw in the idea of smoking the car with Money Stay With Me Incense to help protect the car from major expenses as well. Personally, I have found this to be a helpful addition to the protecting and blessing of my car. :) Best of luck!

Influence to put the idea in their heads; Cast Off Evil to make them do right; Attraction for good times. Candles, of course, and a mixed bath for yourself -- and mix the powders with dirt and strew them where they'll step in it. Or dress the outer soles of your shoes with the oils so you track it where they'll walk.

Good luck and good magic,

Miss Michaele

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share a trick I devised to cleanse a vehicle that has stopped working due to a jinx. This is something you want to do while doing Uncrossing work on your person, house, etc..

I say jinx, and not curse, because at the time I came up with this the person who threw for me only hit me with a jinx. Im sure it can be useful for curses as well though.

------------------------------
Vehicle Uncrossing Wash
------------------------------

Mugwort
Broom straws (3-9 is ideal)
Cedar
Lemongrass
Comfrey root
Devil’s Shoestring (2 equally sized sticks is ideal )
Uncrossing bath crystals (or a few drops of Uncrossing oil)

*Pray over the herbs and add them to a pot of boiling water which you have blessed. When you add the Devil's Shoestrings, hold both sticks over the pot firmly in the shape of an X and say, "Let the work of the Devil and his helpers be *broken* as this jinx is washed away" (when you say "broken", pull the sticks apart and with a bit of force, fling them into the pot). Let this simmer then turn off the heat.

*To a bucket, add a few drops of Uncrossing oil or a packet of Uncrossing bath crystals. By now the herbs may've settled to the bottom of the pot so you can pour the liquid from the pot into the bucket. If you like, you can save those Devil's Shoestrings to use in similar work later, but its not necessary.

*Go out to your car (I did this in the evening during sunset, but you can do this early in the morning too) and pour the bucket of water evenly over your car from the trunk to the hood. If you have a van or SUV, you can "cut" the bath in half by splitting the herbal bath into two buckets, and splitting half a packet of bath crystals between the two. Using an old washcloth or towel, wipe the car from the top down, praying Psalm 23 at least three times as you walk around the car counterclockwise, wiping and praying that the jinx be broken and washed away. Make sure to wipe your tires too if you keep getting flats.

* After youve wiped the entire car down. Let it dry on its own. You can wipe the inside with any extra bath water also, but for the inside I prefer to burn incense:

Incense for Uncrossing and Protecting your Vehicle

To a packet of Van Van or Uncrossing incense powder add:

lemongrass (powdered is ideal but finely cut is good too)
mugwort
comfrey leaf, crumbled
basil
althea
wormwood

Carefully place some incense a brazier or incense burner and light it inside of your car, windows up doors closed. Place the burner in a cup holder or on the arm rest, this way its towards the center of the car and less likely to tip over when you close the door (dont forget your keys!) Once the incense has burned out, you can allow the remaining smoke to waft out of the car. To add protective layers to the work, blow Firey Wall of Protection and Safe Travel powders onto the seats and sprinkle some under the floor mats. I like to add Barberry to the mix with other protective herbs if thieves or crazy passengers (i.e. taxi drivers) are a concern.

I just did this work and can tell you it worked for me.

Oh, and if you're concerned about the smokey smell in your upholstery, place some Hoyt's Cologne in a spray bottle and get your car smelling nice again! Your car will be blessed with luck as well!

Hope this helps someone!
